Deceiving Her Ears: Ignoring Your Call-Chapter 141: I Don’t Want It
Isaac Vaughn suddenly felt a pang of panic!
Realizing it, he tightly gripped Natalie Kendall’s arm, trembling with effort.
Natalie’s gaze fell on his hand and then followed it to his face.
His complexion was pale, as if he was having trouble catching his breath.
"Little Ear, can you not treat me like this?"
To be honest, Natalie couldn’t understand Isaac.
Hadn’t they already laid everything on the table?
His manipulation of her had already become blatantly obvious.
So why did he still persist in pretending, acting as if he truly loved her?
Did he think she was that foolish? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
That she would still believe it?
"Little Ear, I’m sincere."
If he could, Isaac was willing to cut open his heart to show her.
But perhaps even if he did, she would only see it as a piece of rotten flesh and toss it into the trash without a second glance.
He deserved all of this.
Natalie looked at Isaac.
Her eyes showed no trace of emotion.
He was finally tasting the flavor of karma.
Before, she couldn’t hear his lies, and now she couldn’t hear his love.
She pulled her arm away from Isaac and started to leave.
As soon as she reached the living room, Isaac hugged her from behind.
He wrapped his arms around Natalie’s slender waist, his palms overlapping on her belly, breathing close to her ear, his face gradually burying into her neck.
His hot breaths puffed rhythmically against her shoulder and neck, pressing against her artery.
She was locked in his embrace, like being trapped in a cage she couldn’t escape.
"Isaac." Natalie called his name coldly, the tone not just cold but also annoyed.
Isaac gritted his teeth: "Little Ear, I love you, I really love you."
"Do you?"
With just those light words, Natalie shattered him completely.
"Isaac, you are so shameless. When we were together, you only wanted to use me to get what you wanted. Now you’ve succeeded, you’ve gotten it, yet you still won’t let me go. Why should I want someone like you?"
"I don’t want it."
"This version of you, I don’t want at all."
"Even if there wasn’t another soul in this world who loved me, I wouldn’t want someone like you to love me."
"Please, don’t love me."
"I find it disgusting."
With that, Natalie pushed Isaac away and entered the bedroom.
The door slammed shut.
Isaac stood there rigidly, his complexion shifting from pale to flushed, as if he had been slapped hard.
He began to feel unsteady, as if something inside him was crumbling apart.
——
Natalie had contacted Grandma Rivers, taking Jordan Rivers to the station.
Jordan knew he was being sent away, there was no crying or fuss, just reddened eyes.
From the moment they got into the car, he clutched his backpack tightly, head lowered in silence, not speaking a word to Natalie.
Natalie had her laptop on her lap, focused intently on her documents.
Forty minutes later.
The car arrived at the station.
Within minutes, the window was knocked on with urgency.
Grandma Rivers’ worried face appeared in the window.
Natalie opened the car door and got out, walking around to the other side to open the car door.
Jordan was immediately pulled into a hug by Grandma Rivers, "Oh my! You almost scared the soul out of me!"
"Cough, cough! Miss Rivers."
Natalie turned to look at Jordan’s aunt, Lily Rivers.
This time, she was all smiles and flatteries, completely different from the hostility and disdain she’d shown during their last meeting.
"Miss Rivers, I heard you run a large company?"
Natalie understood her intent.
She wanted money.
Glancing at Jordan in Grandma Rivers’ arms, she took out a card and handed it to Grandma Rivers: "Take him back. I hope we don’t meet again in the future."
