Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 13: Escape

" Not here." Meggie told them then led Adrian to her car, Vestro and Wolf followed in their own.

In tha car she took out a piece of wood wrapped with a red cloth.

" Keep this on yourself, don’t let it go until I tell you."

Adrian nodded and to be sure not to lose it, he stabbed himself in the stomach which caught Meggie by surprise.

She panicked and almost drove the car out of the road. " What the hell are you doing?" She shouted.

Adrian groaned by did not answer, he shoved the tiny stick in his stomach and pulled his hand out.

The wound healed in less than 20 seconds, Meggie was again surprised by the speed of his regeneration.

She drove to his house then went inside, Wolf and Vestro stopped outside for a few seconds.

" Is it safe?" Vestro asked, she was wary that they were being led into a trap.

Wolf frowned, " I don’t detect anything, let go in." They went inside as well.

They found Adrian and Meggie already waiting in the living room. The moment they got in the doors locked behind them.

They were now certain this was a trap, a projection of a wolf appeared behind wolf then disappeared.

Vestro grinned and pulled out two daggers, Adrian felt a terrifying threat from the two of them.

Their presence assaulted his nose, his animalistic instinct were telling him to run but he couldn’t do that.

They had discussed it with Meggie, she had briefly explained what these two were and what they do.

After killing so many humans and leaving such an obvious trail for other normal humans to find, there was no way they would let him be.

They would certainly either capture or outright kill him but Meggie believed the former was more likely.

Adrian was a new species never recorded, they would certainly want to study him. His hair turned silver and so did his eyes.

His teeth long like wolf fangs, black claws grew out of fingers and he lunged. He moved so fast he became a blur.

Neither of them reacted as if they couldn’t even follow his movements, he wouldn’t be surprised, he was really fast.

His claws cut through the air and went for Vestro’s neck, they she raised her head and grinned at him.

Adrian felt something was wrong, he felt the wind shift above him, he looked up but saw nothing.

His instincts streamed of danger, a tremendous force hit him from above and rammed his body on the floor.

The tiles shattered and the ground below them cracked. He felt a wave of pain assaulting his mind but didn’t take any significant damage.

He felt the wind shift again, disregarding his own pain he rolled on the floor she dodged, something hit the ground where he was before.

The force was so great he felt the entire house shake, a crater formed on the ground. He stood up and retreated.

Then he looked towards Meggie, she was sitting cross legged and chanting in an incomprehensible language.

It sounded like the whispers of a thousand women, it was grating to the ears, he could also sense something moving towards her.

He couldn’t explain it so he turned his attention to the other two, the woman named Vestro attacked next.

Her target though was not him but Meggie, she threw her dagger at her forcing him to rush to intercept it.

Just as he caught the dagger she disappeared, he caught her scent behind Meggie and pounced.

The distance was not much so he covered it in a split second. He tried to grab her with his claws but she disappeared and appeared next to Wolf again.

’ How is she moving so fast? Teleportation.’ wolf outstretched his hand towards them then casually slapped down as if he swatting a fly.

Adrian briefly saw the shadow of the massive wolf attacking him with it paw. A growl escaped his lips.

His blood boiled and his muscles expanded then he punched. His fist met the invisible paw.

A shockwave blasted out destroying the furniture, the ground below him cracked but he did not move a step.

Wolf on the other hand was forced to take a step back, he rotated his wrist and frowned.

" He’s strong." He whispered to Vestro but with his senses Adrian heard him clearly.

" And fast." Vestro responded, their expressions changed and they seemed to take him seriously.

The threat he felt from them seemed to grow, he felt the same type of energy he detected from Meggie on them.

He didn’t know what it was but he doubted it was anything good. The wolf behind Wolf became visible then grew solid.

Vestro did not change except her daggers gained a purple sheen. It was faint, it was only because of his heightened eyesight that he can see it.

He growled at them, Vestro disappeared from his eyesight. Adrian was sure now that she was teleporting.

He sensed her appear next to him and stab, he spun and slashed his claws at her, she ducked under his arm.

Before he could react she stabbed him twice in a split moment, a wave of pain assaulted his sense.

Blood poured out, he growled and she disappeared again. He touched the two stab wounds.

They did not stop bleeding until a few seconds later. He watched the two of them vigilantly.

Her daggers were able to slow down his regeneration, that terrified him. He looked behind him at Meggie.

She was still chanting, it was close to a minute now and she was still not done with her spell.

Wolf attacked next, the massive paw of his wolf seemed to shake the air. Adrian raised both arms to block.

The paw never landed which confused him then he felt a dagger plunge into his heart and froze.

He looked to the side and saw Vestro grinning at him, " Goodbye little beasty."

She mocked disappeared, very few Fayera can survive her daggers to the heart, her daggers were laced with poison that can stop even regeneration of a vampire.

She was certain this kid could not survive it unless he was a high rank noble vampire but those were too rare and proud to be found in such a small town.

Not to mention they pride themselves in elegance, the savage way he killed those humans didn’t match a noble vampire.

" I’m done." Meggie whispered, the house shook then stopped. Adrian grabbed her and ran.

On the way he grabbed a picture and ran out the back door. Vestro teleported to stop them but she was too late.

Meggie had trapped them in the living room, they ran out the back door and circled upfront.

Vestro and Wolf watched the run to their car, Adrian slashed their tyres on the way. He turned and looked at them then grinned and they got in the car and left.
