Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 22: Vampire

Adrian jumped from roof to roof following the scent of blood then he came to a stop. In a dark alley he saw two people.

A man and a woman, the man had her pressed against the wall with his mouth on her neck.

From first glance it would appear as if they were a couple doing adult stuff but he could see the fear and desperation in her eyes.

However she couldn’t even scream, he could hear her heartbeat and her blood flowing through her veins.

Her blood was being drained by the man pressed against her. ’ Vampire.’ he suddenly remembered vampires.

He couldn’t be sure but he this was most likely a vampire. However it felt weak, so much so that he doubted his own senses.

He was about to jump down then he stopped, he remembered Meggie told him not to reveal himself.

He shook his head and turned to leave then he heard a small whimper. He looked down and the woman was looking at him with pleading eyes.

" Ah damnit." He jumped down 8 metres and landed on the ground with a thud, strangely his body landed much softer than expected.

The vampire heard him, he turned around but Adrian did not even give him a chance to speak before ripping his throat out.

The vampire opened his eyes wide and fell down, his blood formed a pool below his body.

Adrian stepped over him and approached the woman who looked even more terrified but she couldn’t even run.

She had lost too much blood. " It’s fine, I won’t hurt you." He tried to make his voice sound as deep and cool as he possibly could.

The woman didn’t relax but there was nothing she could do not watch him reach out for her.

He prickled his finger and forcefully fed her his blood. He instinctively knew his blood had healing effects but he did not know if it had any other effects on ordinary humans.

The woman regained her strength in seconds and stood up but she didn’t dare move.

Her gaze was firmly locked into him then she looked behind him and her eyes shook with fear.

Adrian suddenly ducked and sharp claws passed above his head. He turned and kicked the vampire on the chest.

The vampire flew back 7 metres and rolled on the ground. It stood up and hissed at him revealing its fangs.

Adrian’s body blurred and covered the distance like a shadow. His speed caught the vampire off guard.

It swung its claws at him but he casually grabbed it hand and twisted. Its bone broke and pierced through it skin and it screamed.

Even the woman flinched, before the vampire could fully register the pain he kicked its inner knee bending it at an angle it should never bend.

Its bones sticked out of its body like spikes, " Ho, you vampires truly have impressive vitality."

Adrian wasn’t being sarcastic, the vampires wound were already starting to heal, it was slower than his own but still beyond impressive.

" Okay, we’ve played enough." The vampire raised it head and looked at him with fear.

" Who..who are you?" It asked in a shaking voice, this vampire was smart and old, he had lived for over a hundred years.

While still a rank 1, he was at the peak of said realm, amongst vampire peasants he was considered quite strong.

Yet now he was about to die to somebody that looked like a child.

" I’m Marcus of house Karon, if you kill me my master will..." Before it could finish its sentence he stabbed his claws into its chest.

" Come after me." He asked with a smile that terrified the vampire. His last thoughts was, what kind of monster was this.

Adrsin ripped the vampires heart out, it continued pulsing in his hand. The heart was deep crimson.

It was surrounded by a faint red aura, it was so faint it was barely noticeable, the only reason he saw it was because of his enhanced eyesight.

He grabbed a plastic bag on the floor and put the heart inside then turned towards the woman. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

His actions seemed to have terrified her even more. " Please, please don’t kill me I won’t tell anybody I swear."

Adrian sighed, " I already told you, I’m not going to hurt you, I just saved your life."

His words didn’t make her relax at all, he moved as fast as a shadow and appeared Infront of her like a blur.

" That man tried to force himself on you, a mysterious stranger appeared and saved you them disappeared."

Her eyes went blank for moment, he jumped up and kicked off the wall and reached the roof in only two jumps.

He looked down at the woman who looked confused, she turned around and ran away.

" Ah, the sorrows of a forgotten hero." He stood on top of the roof and looked up like he was in sorrow.

He felt very cool and mysterious while doing it too. Then he ran back home where he found Meggie Infront of the door tapping her foot on the ground with her arms folded on her chest.

When he got in she showed him the clock, " You’ve gone for over an hour, what took your so long."

The she noticed the plastic bag he was carrying, she was certain she did not send him to buy a vampire heart.

" You didn’t.."

Adrian could sense the anger in her voice and smiled sheepishly. " Funny story.."

After losing Adrian, Sanchez went back to the police station, she hadn’t even had time when somebody came in screaming.

It was a hooker, Sanchez sighed, her kind always had problems with their clients, it was something every cop was used to.

The hook made her statement and she was told to wait. The officer who took her statement approached her partner.

Brown had to stop eating which he hated but nobody cares anymore. If you people had to wait until he finished eating to talk to him.

They would become mummies while standing. Brown approached her with a frown.

" Get this, she says some guy tried to force himself on her."

Sanchez immediately lost interest, that was always the case with hookers, usually others handle those cases.

However Brown continued. " That isn’t the weird part, the guy did not succeed because a mysterious stranger came and saved her then disappeared."

" So?" Sanchez asked in a bored voice, " A stranger helping a woman who’s in danger, that isn’t something new is it?"

" Yeah but that stranger killed that guy." That drew her attention.
