Demonic Dragon: Harem System-Chapter 512: I already imagined this would happen.
Chapter 512: I already imagined this would happen.
The corridor was silent, except for the muffled sound of distant voices and the faint crackling of the Grand Duchy’s towers settling under the afternoon heat. Cristine closed her bedroom door with a soft click, her hair tied back in a bun, her eyes slightly blurry from having just woken up. ~
She descended two flights of stairs with steady steps, her eyes analyzing the details of the tapestries in that inn that she hadn’t even noticed before, as if trying not to think about what she thought of the whole situation of her sister almost dying the night before.
Cristine stopped in front of one of the rooms, which was ajar, the soft light of late afternoon sneaking through the crack.
When she pushed the door open, she was greeted by a scene that did not surprise her in the least, even though everything inside her wanted it to be a lie.
Strax was sitting in an imposing armchair, made of dark leather and ancient carvings. His body was completely naked, his muscles still glistening with sweat. Above him, her long hair partially covering her face and her back arched with abandon, lay Yennifer, also naked, her red skin contrasting with the warrior’s body.
Both stared at her when they heard the slight creak of the door.
Strax didn’t move a muscle. Yennifer looked up with a subtle smile on the corner of her mouth, without any shame. Just the insolent serenity of someone who knew exactly what she was doing.
Cristine watched them for a long second. There was no scream, no tears — just a deep sigh that seemed to carry with it the weight of a thousand frustrations swallowed over many years.
“Of course this was going to happen,” she said at last, her voice drawn out, as if confirming an old and inevitable prediction.
Strax tilted his head slightly, without a hint of regret. “It was her, it seems that because she became a succubus… well… you know what a succubus wants, right?” he commented.
Cristine raised an eyebrow, her face still serene, but now with a bitter touch.
“I really thought it would happen sooner, but it seems it needed a psychological push from my sister for that,” she said, shaking her head.
Yennifer slid gently off Strax’s lap, pulling a thin cloak that was lying next to the armchair and wrapping herself lazily in it. She was still smiling, but her eyes seemed to seek a more emotional reaction from Cristine — which would not come.
“You look disappointed,” Yennifer teased.
Cristine ignored her completely. Her eyes were fixed on Strax. “To think that you used to be a guy who attacked women, you got attacked this time, right?”
Strax frowned slightly, not out of guilt, but out of annoyance. “To think that you still expect purity from people like us.”
“I don’t expect purity,” Cristine said, her voice now sharp as glass, “I just expected some sense of responsibility. Or at least decency. It’s dripping from her fucking pussy even now.” She pointed to Yennifer’s legs, which had a line running from her pussy and already dripping onto the floor.
Yennifer crossed her arms under her fine silk robe, adjusting the fabric over her legs with an almost disdainful grace. Her gaze swept the room with indifference, now visibly bored by the tension that hung in the air. An almost imperceptible sigh escaped her lips as the breeze from the half-open window gently ruffled her hair.
Cristine took two steps into the room, calmly but radiating an authoritative presence. She stopped beside the table near the fireplace, resting one hand on the dark wood. Her golden eyes moved from Yennifer to Strax and then back to the emptiness of the room—as if the entire scene had already been lived out in her mind countless times.
“You know… I’m not even angry, to be honest,” said Cristine, yawning slightly as she stretched, as if it were just another domestic nuisance. “Actually, it’s a relief. Imagining a succubus being controlled by another man would be embarrassing, to say the least.”
The provocation hung in the air like subtle poison.
Yennifer curled one corner of her mouth into a cold smile, but did not respond.
Cristine then brought one hand to her face and wrinkled her nose with restrained theatricality.
“But someone open a window. The smell of sex is ingrained in the walls,” said Cristine, wrinkling her nose and waving her hand theatrically, as if expelling a vulgar spirit from the room.
She walked away from the table with calm but authoritative steps, and when she reached the door, she stopped. She turned just enough to glance over her shoulder, her expression somewhere between weariness and impatience.
“We need to leave, remember? Our destination is still Vorah,” she said, her tone dry, as if reminding a negligent student of a forgotten duty.
She paused briefly, her gaze resting for a moment on Strax, before curving her lips into a crooked, dangerously sweet smile.
“And when we get back… you’ll reward me as you should. Or I’ll rip your balls off with my own hands. Slowly.”
The threat came with rehearsed sweetness, but there was something in her eyes… a look far more demonic than that of a demon, which made it clear: she wasn’t joking. Cristine turned again, this time leaving without looking back, as if the argument had ended before it even began.
The sound of Cristine’s footsteps echoed rhythmically through the narrow hallway of the inn. The old wood creaked under her feet, as if the place were grumbling in solidarity with the woman’s dark mood. The air outside was cooler, and a lazy afternoon breeze carried the smell of old tea, dust, and burnt wood.
She automatically tightened her bun, but her mind was elsewhere. Although her face was as calm as the surface of water, inside there was a storm. Not out of jealousy—she had buried that long ago—but something deeper, sharper: the fear that everything was falling apart at the moment when they most needed to stay together.
“And to think that this is what I have to deal with…” she muttered, descending another flight of stairs toward the lower floor.
