Destroying My Own World-Chapter 285: Prejudice.
Elena told everything to Sasha, and she never thought she was glad to meet her. She never liked Sasha, but after realizing how Sasha was so worried and tried to comfort her, it made her realize that Sasha might be the most gentle woman she had ever met.
She took it aside because she was more surprised about the fact that there was still a world inside Mykel. She knew about Sasha and what Mykel did for her, but she never thought the world that was specifically made only for Sasha inside him still existed.
"Am I the only one?" Elena asked as she walked toward the window and saw people walking on the sidewalk. "Did the others come here as well?" she added.
"Since I’m the one in control of this place, I did feel it when you came to this world. The past few days, I didn’t feel anything like that again after you came," Sasha answered as she walked to the wardrobe to grab something to wear for Elena since Elena was in her underwear.
"I see. So The Lord didn’t make it as well," Elena sighed as she sat at the window.
Sasha never thought about how the world went upside down and how Elena and the others worked with The Lord to fight Mykel. She knew how painful it was for Elena, and she knew exactly what Elena needed. She was still terrified of the fact that Mykel was an entity that existed with The Lord at the beginning of time.
After Sasha gave her jacket and pants to Elena, she brought Elena outside and went to the coffee shop. She explained to Elena how she managed the world and turned everything to her will, just like Mykel when he was inside the novel world.

"If this world still exists, that means Mykel is protecting this world just for you. With that being said, Mykel’s consciousness is still here somewhere, and I want to find him," Elena said as she enjoyed her coffee.
"Yes, I was about to say that. This world is so peaceful that I don’t feel any threat out there which means he still exists," Sasha nodded her head. "He gave me peace, and he keeps his words," she continued as she smiled weakly.
"He’s a man of his promise after all," Elena chuckled and she felt a bit relieved knowing that Mykel was alive. "Somehow I feel envious. Even though he treated you badly, in the end, he fixed everything and redeemed himself," she continued.
"Don’t be envious because he did that just to redeem himself. I’m no longer the woman he loves, and I already have someone that I love as well," Sasha smiled gently as she stared into Elena’s eyes. "He loves you more than anything, and I can assure you that he will keep his promise that he won’t sacrifice himself just for you," she continued and took a sip of her coffee.
Elena chuckled as she shook her head because she didn’t want to admit that Sasha was right.
"Do you think he’s here?" Elena asked and went back to the main topic.
"No, I don’t believe he’s here because I didn’t feel anything just like what I said earlier. I didn’t even know what happened out there because of how peaceful it is in here," Sasha shook her head and looked outside the window. "But, I believe he’s somewhere near because he would need to keep an eye on this world. Perhaps, he had bargained with his other self to not touch this world," she pointed out.
Elena looked outside the window as she hummed in agreement because she had the same thought as Sasha. She then wondered if she could do it alone, and even if she had to do it alone, she needed to recover first before she could make a move. When she was thinking about it, she felt a chill in her left arm, making her look over her shoulder.
"Why is he here?" Elena asked as she looked at Asmond waiting in line to order coffee.
"Oh, I made him exist here. I wanted to see what kind of life Asmond could have if he lived like an ordinary human. He’s Mykel’s best friend," Sasha answered as she stood up.
Elena scoffed, but that feeling she had earlier was too weird just because of Asmond’s presence. She then looked at Sasha waving her hand at Asmond and then invited him to the table.
Asmond reluctantly joined the table, but Sasha insisted as Elena kept staring outside the window. He then sat next to Sasha, but the moment he looked at Elena’s face, he was charmed by her beauty and her cold expression that somehow enchanting, alluring, mysterious, and unnerving presence.
The moment Elena glanced at him, he was flustered and immediately looked away. She could see it in his eyes, and then she chuckled softly, making him uncomfortable, and yet couldn’t resist looking at her again. The tattoo on her chest, neck, and wrist made him realize that Elena was a woman out of his league.
"Do you want to introduce yourself to her?" Sasha asked as she looked at Asmond with her eyebrows raised.
"I’m Asmond Redfeld," Asmond introduced himself nervously and couldn’t stop playing with his hands.
"You can just call me Elena. Nice to meet you, Asmond," Elena smiled gently.
The three of them talked for hours, and no matter how many times Asmond talked to Elena, he became nervous the moment he opened his mouth. Elena had no grudge or hatred toward Asmond in the first place, so she had no reason to hate him for existing. It would be a different case of scenario if the others were the ones to meet him.
"I’m to the restroom," Elena said as she stood up.
Asmond couldn’t stop staring at Elena, and then suddenly he furrowed his eyebrows when Elena approached one of the men at the counter. He watched as Elena grabbed one of the cigarettes from the man after she asked for one. He then watched her go to the restroom with a cigarette in her mouth.
"Do you like her?" Sasha asked with curiosity.
"She’s gorgeous and I have never seen a woman like her. She’s cold and yet so gentle at the same time. Her voice and words were sharp making her so intelligent like someone from the upper class," Asmond explained as he looked at the table and couldn’t erase Elena’s face in his mind. "Do I like her? I guess you can say that, but she’s out of my league," he continued as he chuckled.
"Good, because she already has someone. I’m just giving you a warning before you fall further down," Sasha laughed.
"Wow, I bet that someone is really something, huh?" Asmond asked.
"I know him, and yes, he is," Sasha answered as she nodded her head looked outside the window, and took a sip of her coffee.
After that, Asmond said goodbye since he had another business for the day. Elena and Sasha left and grabbed lunch, spending the entire afternoon outside.
"What’s your plan now?" Sasha asked Elena who was walking next to her.
"I don’t know yet. I can’t waste time here doing nothing when Amaryllis is out there fighting Mykel. I will make a move tonight and leave to find the others and hope they’re still alive, or at least The Lord since he might know what to do once we find the core of Mykel’s power," Elena answered.
"I know it’s not much, but take this," Sasha offered Elena a credit card. "You can spend it and treat yourself before you go. You have been through a lot, and I know how it feels to be alone and doing things on your own," she continued.
Elena looked at Sasha and realized that she felt a bit guilty for treating Sasha badly. She understood how it felt, and she couldn’t imagine what Sasha had been through knowing she had nobody to lean on.
"Once this is over," Elena paused to take the credit card. "Let’s hang out again sometimes," she continued.
"Of course. I’ll be waiting," Sasha smiled and then reached out to Elena and gave her a hug. "Good luck out there. Find Mykel, and beat the shit of that thing out from his body," she added.
"I will. Thank you, Sasha," Elena answered as she chuckled. "I’ll see you later," she continued and then left.
Sasha watched Elena leave, and then she sighed as she looked up at the bright blue sky.
