Destroying My Own World-Chapter 355 ToxiChapter
"Have you forgotten who you belong to?" Aevia asked and stared into Mykel's eyes. "The moment you raised your voice and acted up in front of me, that's when need to be taught," she added as her hand slowly reached Mykel's neck.
Mykel didn't say a word and just stared back into Aevia's eyes, showing no fear or anxiety. What made Aevia feel anxious was when she couldn't read what he thought or what he felt. It wasn't because she couldn't read them, it was because Mykel had nothing inside him like an empty shell.
"What are you so afraid of?" Mykel calmly asked even though Aevia's hand was on his neck.
"Afraid?" Aevia tilted her head and looked at Mykel's neck, thinking when she should snap his neck. "I will show you what fear is," she gipped on Mykel's neck, putting a lot of pressure on it.
"How can I be afraid when we made a deal that you won't harm them? Whatever you're trying to do, you won't be able to achieve your goal," Mykel responded and it was hard for him to say it since his pipe was being crushed slowly and painfully.
Aevia realized the only weakness was that Mykel had been guaranteed its safety. She had never thought she would make a mistake, and it bothered her since she had never made a mistake before.
"Even if I decided to break that deal, what can you do?" Aevia was so close to snapping Mykel's neck.
Mykel was smirking and looking at Aevia with pity.
"What are you so afraid of to the point that you have to break the deal we made?" Mykel raised his eyebrows. "Have you realized that what we have is nothing but a compromise?" he asked back.
Aevia had enough of his resilience and how calm he was, making her feel like the one who was being played. She snapped Mykel's neck and made him unable to move his body but his eyes and mouth. She looked down at him, trying to calm herself down and think of a way to subdue Mykel.
"You will experience the pain that you have never felt before. I will show your true nature and find out what you have been trying to hide from me. You will be here for a while," Aevia snapped her fingers, stopping the time.
"Time is all I have," Mykel smirked.
(In the vast universe)
Elena was in a state where she wasn't awake or asleep, she was in between the state of living and dead. Her consciousness was equal to how fast the universe was, and she could feel millions of stars at her fingertips. She could hear the voices, the conversation, the cries, the screams, and the laughter of the people on each planet.
The moment she couldn't feel or hear anything, that was when she opened her eyes, coming back to her body. Her heart wasn't beating, time had been stopped, but she was aware of it as her existence had reached beyond time and space.
Elena slowly stood up and the single step she took was enough to move her to a different space. She saw Amaryllis and Sasha observing the universe, but they were frozen in time as anything else in the universe.
She gently put her left hand on Amaryllis' shoulder and her right hand on Sasha's shoulder, pulling them out of the prison of time. They both were surprised when Elena suddenly touched their shoulders and appeared right behind them.
"Elena?!" Amaryllis was in disbelief and her eyes started to water.

Amaryllis hugged Elena so tightly, but something felt off about Elena's body. Her body was cold and it didn't feel like a human body at all because it was so squishy and fragile like cotton candy. She was curious and worried about what was wrong with Elena's body so she tried to analyze it.
"I'm fine. I'm still too weak for this right now," Elena said.
"Too weak? What do you mean?" Sasha looked at Elena with a worried expression.
Elena only smiled as she shook her head, and then she looked up at the vast universe. She noticed the anomaly that had something to do with what happened out there. She couldn't stop smiling because she was right about something and she knew it the moment she realized it.
"I'll come back again later," Elena looked at both of them and then removed her hands from them.
Both Amaryllis and Sasha were frozen in time again, and that proved how Elena could free them with her current power. She then left and went back to where she came from because she needed to get even stronger, at least a hundred times stronger than her current state.
"You gave me what I needed the most, time," Elena closed her eyes and let the time imprison her.
Mykel's whole body was trembling and he could feel every part of his body melted and regenerated at the same time. Every kind of pain, he felt in every atom in his body, and he would have been on the brink of collapsing if it wasn't for Aevia who made him unable to pass out.
"Are you satisfied?" Mykel asked as he coldly stared at Aevia.
It was quite the opposite, she was irritated that she didn't get anything from Mykel. She used all kinds of methods to get anything from him inside out, but all she got was his desperation to make the torture stop. The anxiety she had only grew into fear and she was frustrated that she couldn't get rid of it.
"I showed you trust and willingness, but you didn't buy them. I gave you my everything, but you treated them badly. For someone who sits on the highest seat, you're quite a fool to think you can get everything by acting like that," Mykel said and showed his anger and disappointment. "It's funny that Elestria, a mere mortal is wiser than you," he scoffed. Read new chapters at novelbuddy
Aevia swung her hand and stabbed Mykel right in his heart out of anger to be compared to a mere mortal. She never thought she could be provoked by words, and she couldn't hold her emotions anymore since she had bottled up all her emotions.
She grabbed Mykel's head and looked at him with a cold expression.
"The deal is off, it's time for you to die and be replaced by someone else," Aevia pointed out and she was serious about it, but Mykel was smiling so widely, mocking her decision. "Your time is up, Mykel," she added, but Mykel wasn't bothered by it as he kept mockingly smiling at her.
"You can't handle me, and yet you wanted to create something more monstrous than me? Do you have a wish to be replaced by your own creation?" Mykel asked. "You treated your toy badly because it was bad, and planned to replace it with a new one. One day, you would realize that the toy you had wasn't the problem, it was you who had the problem," he pointed out.
Aevia didn't realize that if Mykel hadn't pointed out the problem and the complexity that she had. She was so used to being alone that she didn't know how to treat someone who was involved in her life directly.
"If that's what you want, go ahead and replace me. The moment you gave up on me because of something stupid, you will keep doing that over and over to those pitiful beings that will replace me later and will have the same fate as me," Mykel said.
"That's none of your business," Aevia responded and was unaffected by Mykel's words.
"My life is yours as I have offered it to you," Mykel closed his eyes and smiled gently. "You might be a fool, but you never made a mistake. That includes letting me be by your side," he added.
Aevia was about to destroy Mykel's body and take his soul so he could make a new being with it. But somehow she couldn't do it because Mykel's words kept ringing in her head. Deep down she knew that she wasn't wrong about her hunch that something was off about him, but at the same time, she wondered if she was wrong.
"Don't trust you don't want to trust, but I hope you don't make a mistake by trusting someone that you shouldn't have," Mykel said as he slowly opened his eyes and calmly looked at Aevia.
Aevia was so close to taking Mykel's life, but she ended up pushing him away from her. She didn't know why she did that and why she couldn't kill him even though she was convinced that she had nothing to lose in the first place.
Mykel couldn't regenerate his wound and he was still in pain from the torture that was still ongoing.
"You haven't answered my question," Mykel was lying down as he stared at the endless white sky. "What are you afraid of that you did this to me?" he asked.
Aevia didn't answer that question because she didn't want him to get the satisfaction of knowing she was afraid.
"You can kill me whenever you want as I am powerless in your presence. You can replace me and kill me, but you didn't do it," Mykel said. "It's not because you're afraid of me, you're afraid of betrayal, isn't it?" he asked.
"What we have is worse than being a stranger to each other. Neither an enemy nor an ally, and nothing in between. This is just a toxic relationship where we gain nothing and lose everything," Mykel pointed out. "I have offered you my life and my honesty. That's all I can offer, and it's up to you to keep suspecting me or believe in me," he added.
"I'm not asking you to believe me, but I will keep showing my honesty to you," Mykel assured as he started losing consciousness.
Aevia realized that Mykel had passed out, so she approached him and looked at his sleeping face. She had seen his sleeping face countless times, but she couldn't help but look at how powerless he was in front of her. She wanted to tame him, subdue him, and even make him unable to live without him, but she realized she had been the one who started to feel them.
"You're mine, and you'll always be mine..." Aevia gently rubbed Mykel's face with a cold expression.
