Destroying My Own World-Chapter 362: Uninvited guests.
The world was shocked when they heard and saw the capital city of the Faelethria Kingdom was flattened. Nobody knew what had happened and why everyone miraculously survived, creating a big question mark. It didn’t take long until Zachary spoke up and told the world what he saw, he wasn’t the only one who saw Anathiel, but Victoria and Javelin saw it as well before they fainted.
What made them more worried was the massive crack in the sky and it was the rift to fight the demon. It was impossible to get up there on foot, and everyone was thinking of using planes to enter the rift. The main concern was how dangerous the world was inside the rift, and it would be wise to not check it.

The gravity was heavier than before because of the rift, and the ambient sound that haunted everyone. Nobody dared to look at the sky because they would faint like before, only those who had a strong mentality could look at it.
"What took you so long? We are getting bored in here," Sophia could smell Mykel’s scent in the room.
"Good, then I’ll make it quick," Mykel stood in front of the Five Sinners. "You guys are going to enter the rift on your own, as a scout. Gather as much information as you can, and then come back safely," he explained.
Everyone was frozen still and tried to process what they had just heard.
"You will be leaving in an hour. I have prepared all the necessities for you during the exploration. Good luck," Mykel said.
"What about you?" Victoria asked with her eyes squinted.
"I have a different task. I’m protecting Her Highness and Lady Elysande in case the demon is coming back again," Mykel answered as he stared at Victoria. "The world is depending on you. It would be great if all of you managed to come back alive, but I only need one person to come back so I believe you guys can do this task," he added as he smirked at Victoria and then left.
Victoria was furious by the way Mykel looked at her and said that he wished her to die. Of course, she wasn’t the only one who was pissed, the others were also in disbelief that he sent them all to die. But, they couldn’t do anything and followed his order since he could kill them if he wanted to.
Elestria gave a speech around the world that she was going to send her team to scout the rift. She showed the live feed of the Five Sinners and the Big Bosses entered the plane. Everyone was watching it on their TVs and phones, praying for those people’s safety.
"So she used the criminals to do it. That’s pretty smart," Aston crossed his arms and watched the live feed.
"But they’re the strongest Gifted, and if we lose them, we will lose almost seventy percent of our current force to deal with the invasion," Zachary responded. Continue your journey on novelbuddy
"There’s a reason Mykel didn’t join them because he’s the strongest, and it would be risky to send him off with them," Melissa nodded in agreement. "But even with how dangerous it is inside the rift, I heard they have the ability to leave using a portal. It’s from one of them," she pointed out.
"I don’t think that matters," Zachary shook his head. "If that mysterious woman could instantly make all of us faint by her presence, what makes her unable to prevent them from leaving? She’s currently the strongest, excluding the sister she mentioned. So I don’t know if Mykel could handle this situation on his own anymore," he explained and saw the plane take off.
"Not just him, all of you are responsible for the lives of the people. I think it would be wise if you both start to train and prepare yourself for this," Melissa looked at both of them with a worried expression.
Zachary and Melissa looked at each other and nodded their heads because they shouldn’t waste their time watching TV. They both left to train, and Zachary called Javelin to help them train in a rough environment and hard situations while they still could.
"ETA one minute! Brace for impact!" The captain who joined the flight informed them.
Nobody on the plane was scared of the warning and couldn’t wait to see what was beyond the rift. The turbulences were quite scary and became fiercer the closer they were to the rift.
When the rift was right in front of them, the whole plane disappeared from the sky. Everyone who watched the live feed was speechless and never thought the whole plane would disappear like that.
Victoria and the others couldn’t stay in their seats because of the fierce wind inside the rift, and then suddenly everything became calm. They were frozen still for a moment and then looked out the window to see the world inside the rift. It was eerily beautiful because it looked like a massive city underneath with rivers and lakes in the city.
"Everything is either black or gray..." Sabel looked at the fantasy-like city. "I can tell this place used to be beautiful, but what happened here?" he furrowed his eyebrows with curiosity.
While everyone was busy looking down at the massive city where they couldn’t see the end of it, something flew by. The plane was cut in half and they were free falling so fast that it might kill them if they didn’t do something.
Sophia cut off her seatbelt and jumped off the plane with laughter, leaving the other on the plane. Felix disappeared and abandoned the others since he could move swiftly and walk in the air. Both Sabel and Duncan were chilling in their seats knowing they would be fine and couldn’t wait to land.
Victoria sighed and casually walked to the edge to look at how close they were to the ground. The moment they were about to hit the ground, she summoned bones from the ground and pierced the front and end of the plane. The plane stopped before it could touch the ground, and everyone was safe from the impact.
"You survived?" Sabel looked at Sophia who was standing next to the plane. "But you can’t see and shouldn’t be able to tell if you’re close to the ground or not," he asked.
"I can hear when my voice bounced from the ground and can tell how close I am from the ground," Sophia answered as she tried to map her surroundings using her voice like a sonar. "Anyway, you should get down from there, something is coming," she warned as she readied her stance.
"So that’s the one who cut the plane in half," Victoria looked at a black wyvern flying at the speed of sound. "His friends are coming as well now that we made a scene," she added as she tried to read the wyvern’s movement.
Victoria waited until the wyvern decided to fly down toward them, and when it did, she reached out his hand at the wyvern. A bone came out of the ground and pierced through the wyvern’s skull, killing it in an instant before it could see the bone coming.
She did the same thing to the wyverns that were coming toward them and killed them all with a single raise of her hand. Everyone looked at her and couldn’t believe she could precisely kill them all even though those wyverns were still far away. It was all Thanks to the orbs that she had sent to check the area unnoticed even by the wyverns.
"Is that him?" A woman with gold feathered wings looked at the bones coming out of the ground in the far distance.
"No, sister. He’s not among them," Anathiel landed right behind the woman and wrapped her arms around the woman’s neck.
The gold wings of the woman and the black wings of Anathiel entwined with each other. They were watching Victoria and the others exploring the city unaware of being watched.
"That means they’re here not to kill us," The woman said as she stood up. "You take care of them. I will go back to see our sister’s condition. She pointed out as she wrapped herself with her wings and disappeared into thin air, leaving gold feathers in the air.
Victoria and the others were exploring the city and they didn’t find any monsters or demons. It was more disturbing to not see a single living or dead being in a city with no end. They didn’t know what to expect, but they slowly discovered the truth behind the city and why it ended up like that.
"I’m thinking about something crazy right now," Sabel said as he rubbed the sticky ashes on the ground. "Demon and Gods, what are they actually? Are they really two different entities or they’re the same but one is good and the other one is bad?" he asked.
"Why do you have that thought?" Felix asked.
"The previous demon we encountered. She had black and white wings, right? And she could handle divine power like it was nothing," Sabel responded and noticed every inch of the city was covered by the ashes. "So what if those beings are the same race but they fought each other for some unknown reason," he suggested.
"And?" Victoria glanced at Sabel.
"What if this city used to be the place where those Gods and Demons lived?" Sabel asked. "These sticky ashes might be the remains of the fallen," he pointed out.
Everyone went silent and looked at Sabel because they never thought about it. Once they thought like Sabel and looked at their surroundings, they realized that the city was in a mess and covered with unknown substances.
"You’re not so far off about that," Anathiel’s voice could be heard at the far back.
They turned around and saw Anathiel crossing her arms with her wings folded. When they were about to make a move, they all lost their strength just like back then.
"I don’t remember inviting you to this sacred place, and uninvited guests are meant to be eliminated," Anathiel smirked as she looked down at them and spread her wings.
