Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1219: Meeting Victor.
Enel’s consciousness stirred and ebbed as if caught in the tide of a restless sea.
When he first opened his eyes, he was greeted by dim, unfamiliar surroundings. The room was sparsely lit, its shadowy corners merging with the walls, making it hard to discern its true size. The lack of decoration made it feel sterile, but there was a strange energy to the space. His magic whispered to him, hinting at something hidden—the room was larger than it appeared, cloaked in layers of illusion or protection.
He tried to sit up but immediately felt his body protest. A dull ache blossomed in his limbs, and when he kicked instinctively, his joints groaned in response, cracking loudly. The sound echoed faintly in the quiet, and he winced, feeling every ounce of his exhaustion.
From the shadows, a voice emerged, deep and steady, like a drumbeat in the dark. "Take it slow. You’ve just gone through your first transformation. It’s no small thing for anyone, but for someone like you…" The voice trailed off as if weighing the magnitude of Enel’s condition. "It’s worse. You’re not just a werewolf. You’re something far more complicated."
The words were meant to reassure, but they only made Enel’s mind whirl. He grunted and forced his eyes open again, focusing through the pain. His breaths were shallow as he adjusted, but the mention of his unique lineage brought clarity.

After all, he was Half werewolf, half demon, with human blood to bind it all—and a trace of holy power gifted from birth. It was a cocktail of power that would have definitely taken others many years, maybe thousands, to master.
"It’s not surprising it nearly tore me apart," Enel muttered under his breath, his voice hoarse. Despite his weakened state, he forced himself upright, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. His attention, however, was drawn to the figure in the shadows. The voice was familiar, hauntingly so. Deepened with age but layered with an unmistakable aura of authority.
As the figure stepped into the dim light, the truth hit Enel like a wave. "Victor," he breathed, his smirk cutting through the pain. "The big boss himself. Such an honor."
The man before him looked nothing like the boy Enel had once known. Victor’s hair was still a striking red after his touch with the primordial beast, though streaked faintly with silver that glinted like battle scars in the half-light. His face was that of a man in his early forties—weathered by time yet untouched by the mortal decay of age. Enel knew the reason immediately: Victor had surpassed the Great Demon rank, his power granting him centuries of vitality. Of course power above deep demon was not allowed in Imperilment, meaning that most of Victor’s power was sealed.
But a lot of the effects of his power rank remained with him.
Just like perseus and the others. No doubt, they had perfected the sealing on their ranks to enjoy this hiding place.
Also looking at this version of Victor was actually refreshing. The reason for this was because Enel had actual seen a world where Victir had become old and almost useless because of his loss of his love Allison too early in his life.
But this Victor had lived with his love till the ripe end of her life. This one was a more stable man.
Victor’s expression remained neutral, but his eyes told a different story. They were hard, calculating, yet tinged with something deeper—regret, and a bit of disappointment. When he spoke, his voice carried the weight of millennia.
"The honor is mine," Victor began slowly, "for I am standing before the son of my most beloved great-granddaughter." He paused, his tone softening. "I thought she would inherit my legacy, She had the makings of a queen—a ruler whose blood carried the strength of my late wife, and the wisdom even I lacked. But she betrayed that. She betrayed me."
Enel tensed, his smirk fading slightly. He knew where this was going.
Victor’s voice grew sharper, like a blade unsheathed. "She mated with the son of the man I respected most. A man who stood as near a god. My brother in battle and in trust. And yet…" His eyes bore into Enel’s. "Her choice shattered everything. It’s a betrayal I’ve not forgiven, and one I may never forgive."
Despite his aching body, Enel leaned forward, his smirk returning. "And yet, here I am. Alive. That’s telling, isn’t it?"
Victor’s lips curled into the faintest of smiles, though his gaze remained cold. "The only reason I haven’t killed you, boy, is because of your face." He stepped closer, his towering form casting a shadow over Enel. "You look too much like him. Your grandfather, Lenny. Tgst man, I loved more than words can express."
The room fell into a tense silence, the weight of Victor’s words pressing down like a stormcloud. Enel’s smirk didn’t waver, but his mind raced. The legacy he left behind was now tangled in generations of power, loyalty, and betrayal. But it was still there, and it was an absolutely good feeling to know it was.
Victor straightened, his expression softening just enough to hint at nostalgia. "You seem to have his strength, his stubbornness. But you’re not him, Enel. And that means you still have much to prove."
Enel chuckled, though it was a dry, humorless sound. "Well, if it’s a show you want, you’d better take a seat. I don’t disappoint."
Till this moment, Enel had not revealed to Victor his identity as Lenny. At the same time, he could tell that Perseus had not snitched too.
He had taken Enel’s words of not letting anyone know who he truly was.
It was the same thing Enel had done when he first saw Tomato. He did not let her tell perseus, and evaluated for himself whether perseus was worthy of knowing his identity or not.
Enel was most secretive about this right now. The reason was simple. After all, the Satan system had told him, giving him a mission, to find the betrayal of the city and punish them.
Meaning at this point, Enel was not sure who was friend or foe within his city.
"So tell me, Enel. Cause last I remember, Lenny trued to kill your father. Even if you are by the Womb of my daughter, why should I keep you alive...? Why not end you now and come for your father... you know keep my big brother’s wish fulfilled."
