Divine Emperor of Death-Chapter 4215: Peninsula Invaded
It was the six months after the Covenant that restricted Davis from leaving the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm and imposed many other restrictions.
The Heaven’s Warriors finally intruded into the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula after weeks of requesting permission but failing to enter.
They managed to find… nothing.
"Are you satisfied, Venerable Hollow Knight?"
Esmond Stavenger asked in a formal tone.
The Venerable Hollow Knight looked ahead at the palace and turned to look at Esmond Stavenger, "I don’t sense a single one of your people here. I was told you live with your wives here at the very least."
"Indeed." Esmond Stavenger nodded, "I’ve taken them all to a nearby resort to keep them entertained. My elders suggested that they need to get fresh or different air once in a while. Perhaps it won’t be long before we return."
"I see."
The Venerable Hollow Knight perfunctorily nodded. He kept staring at the palace before a Heaven’s Warrior appeared near him and whispered in his ears.
He nodded and turned to look at Esmond Stavenger.
"It seems that all nine of your wives are still there, and no one is missing. I apologize for intruding. We had no choice but to engage in a distasteful manner since we’re in a race against time to find an Anarchic Divergent and eliminate him."
"There’s no need to worry. I understand and pledge my support in tracking the Anarchic Divergent down."
Esmond Stavenger cupped his hands and bowed, "I am happy to help a Venerable Hollow Knight to the best of my ability. It could be considered my life’s honor."
Trembling ever so lightly, he spoke devoutly.
The Venerable Hollow Knight simply nodded before he waved his hands towards the exit.
"Our investigation here is over. We will leave. Make way to the Garland Gravearch Forest!"
"Yes!"
The Heaven’s Warriors responded and began lining up in the boat, after which they were taken away by Esmond Stavenger in order to traverse through the cumulonimbus clouds
The Garland Gravearch Forest was one of the many danger zones in the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm. Although the Heaven’s Warriors were done searching ninety percent of the realm in order to find the Divine Emperor of Death, it was nearly impossible to explore the rest since they possessed special nature like being sealed or having some kind of restriction that conforms with the Layer, disallowing higher stage cultivators from entering.
They could only deploy low-level cultivators. However, that would usually end in disaster since the target they were hunting would already be too powerful for low-level cultivators to handle, so unless supreme geniuses were sent, they could forget about investigating these special zones.
But right now, these so-called supreme geniuses were completely blinded by the secret realm in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm that led to a world that was full of heavenly resources… presumably from the Elemental Dimension. They were completely immersed in hunting for treasures rather than hunting for the Divine Emperor of Death, so they could forget to search these places.
Regardless, the Heaven’s Warriors had to commit themselves to this risk despite the danger.
They headed to the Garland Gravearch Forest before sending their Immortal Emperor and Sovereign Heaven’s Warriors into it, hoping to find the Divine Emperor of Death there.
After taking them outside, Esmond Stavenger returned to the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula. He did not accompany them anywhere, stating he had important matters to attend to.
Unfortunately, the Heaven’s Warriors were not jovial enough to joke he was going to his wives.
Esmond Stavenger flew to the city and made it all the way to the throne palace on the top of the mountain. When he arrived at the highest point of the stairs, he fell and rested on the last stair as he turned around to watch the thunderous cumulonimbus clouds in the distance before heaving a long sigh that was full of relief.
A small figure slowly descended behind him, giggling with amusement.
"It’s unfortunate that they didn’t find me~ I’m bored~"
Calypsea grinned before she stretched her body and complained.
Esmond Stavenger dared no look behind. Instead, he sensed another figure slowly coming out of the secret passage in the palace that led to the underground chamber.
"You did well, former Realm Master."
"Do I have to do this every time they storm inside?"
Esmond Stavenger stood and turned to look at Tina. His heart shook as he sensed Empyrean Stage undulations from her. She had become an Empyrean before a year even passed. He swore she had still been at the Late Stage of Immortal Emperor, so how come she was quickly in the Empyrean Stage?
He feared and envied that it had to do with the secrets of the Realm Core.
His heart churned to find out, but he had been openly and sternly warned not to pursue it. Perhaps if he remained obedient, they may reveal the secrets after the ten thousand-year rental period, or was he daydreaming?
Esmond Stavenger could only inwardly sigh. He was stuck here like a fallen noble, hoping that a prince would look at him and reinstate his nobility.
"Preferably yes," Tina answered calmly and gently, "but if you could no longer do it, that’s not a problem either. Venerable Warriors, Venerable Elders, or Venerable Knights, it doesn’t matter. We’ll meet them in battle and win regardless but know that you probably won’t have a Whispering Wildlands Peninsula to take over later. Our battles might shatter this floating continent."

"…"
Esmond Stavenger nodded, but he felt like crying.
A few hours ago, the Heaven’s Warriors stormed into this place. Accurately, the Venerable Hollow Knight gathered around two hundred Heaven’s Warriors in his life ring and swiftly invaded this region. He easily traversed the cumulonimbus clouds that could cause Early Stage Autarchs to lose their lives and even Mid Stage Autarchs to be shredded.
However, the Divine Emperor of Death’s people somehow knew this was going to happen, and they gave him back the formation core and told him to act like everything was fine. Experience tales at novelbuddy
He was confused but then suddenly saw Venerable Hollow Knight break in and land on the edge of the peninsula like nothing happened.
The Venerable Hollow Knight then summoned two hundred Heaven’s Warriors and waved his hand, causing them to scatter and go scout. At the same time, he hurriedly went there to deal with the Venerable Hollow Knight.
During this time, Tina, Calypsea, and many others hid well within Stella’s tiny mini-realm, which didn’t have much impact on space as it didn’t distort, making it extremely difficult to detect. Besides, the room containing the Realm Core was always off-limits for any person or power other than the ruling power.
The Heaven’s Warriors didn’t intrude into that space either, as that would basically humiliate the ruling power to the utmost.
As promised, Esmond Stavenger acted like a Realm Master and showed them around as though everything was normal. Finally, the Heaven’s Warriors found nothing and had to leave.
"What about your alchemy works in the palace? I know that a few chambers were remodeled. Wouldn’t there be traces left in those places? I’m afraid that the Heaven’s Warriors simply left in order to bait you people out if they spotted the traces-"
"No need to worry. We have taken care of it." Tina lightly smiled behind her white veil.
"Alright then."
Esmond Stavenger could say no more. He handed over the formation core back like an obedient child, making him feel humiliated inwardly as he recalled how he lived here like an eternal emperor.
"Thank you~"
Tina cupped her hands, "I will relay your actions to my Emperor so that he may favorably look upon you in the future."
"He… did not come here…?"
"No need. We alone are enough." A hint of pride escaped Tina’s voice.
"…"
Esmond Stavenger was starting to understand why this woman would be chosen to be the Realm Master of the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm. She was levelheaded, answered back formally without giving much information, and was completely brave, not even afraid of a Venerable Knight who was said to have killed Anarchic Divergents singlehandedly.
She didn’t panic at all, handling the situation with incomparable ease.
Little did he know that Tina was a receptionist for an auction house in the past, and she took care of the legal auction like a manager and even knew the ways of underground auctions as she was supposed to recommend it to those who approached her because of her Roxley Family. To her, dealing with both light and darkness was something she was used to.
Whether it was dealing with officials or crooks, she had done it all.
"Then I’ll take my leave."
Esmond Stavenger no longer stayed and went back to his resort palace.
Tina took Calypsea’s hand and berated her lightly.
"You naughty girl. Don’t just rush out after our enemies leave. Sometimes, they could be waiting to ambush us."
"Ohh~" Calypsea’s lips parted, "But I used my senses to confirm that there was no one. I can’t be wrong."
