Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 161: Asking for Help
One of the men rubbed his hands together, a lecherous grin spreading across his face. "Heh heh, what do we want to do? You tell us, what do you think we want to do?" ππ³ππππ¦π£π―β΄π£π¦π.π€ππ
"How would I know what you want to do!" Amelia Avery said, her voice cold. She lifted her defiant gaze and rolled her wrists.
"Haha, interesting, very interesting!" Seeing that Amelia Avery wasnβt the least bit afraid, the man gave a roguish, appreciative grin.
Jonah Ross raised his hand and slapped the man across the head. "Cut the crap. Get her inside."
"Yes, Boss! Come on, little lady, letβs get inside. In a bit, me and the boys will take real good care of you."
"Heh, take care of me? Iβll let you take care of me right now," Amelia Avery said coldly, swinging a fist at the man.
The man took Amelia Averyβs punch square on the nose, and blood immediately began to gush out. Jonah Ross, standing to the side, was too stunned to react.
Amelia Avery rubbed her aching fist and gave the men before her a wicked look. "Anyone else want to βtake care ofβ me? Step right up."
Hearing Amelia Averyβs words, Jonah Rossβs expression turned dangerously cold. He kicked the man. "Getting decked by some woman? Youβre a fucking disgrace to me."
"Boss..." the man cried out pitifully, clutching his stomach.
"Take her down!" Jonah Ross ordered, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.
"Yes, Boss!"
The man straightened up, rolled his neck a few times, and reached for Amelia Avery. The smile on her lips never faltered. Just as his hand was about to touch her, she sidestepped, seized his wrist, and with a sharp twist, kicked him hard in the groin.
"AARGH... MY GOD..." The manβs agonized scream rang out.
Jonah Ross and the others couldnβt help but suck in a sharp breath on the manβs behalf. βThat was a vicious kick...β
Amelia Avery let go of the manβs hand. Seeing the others frozen in shock, she turned and ran.
"B-B-Boss, sh-sheβs getting away!" By the time Amelia Avery was about five meters away, one of the men finally snapped out of it, stammering as he pointed in the direction she had fled.
"You useless idiots! What are you standing around for? Go get her and drag her back here!"
"Yes."
As she ran, Amelia Avery pulled her phone out of her pocket, quickly scrolled through her contacts, and made a call for help.
"Leo Joyce, where the fuck are you?" she yelled the moment the call connected, not even thinking.
"β" The person on the other end was silent for about three seconds before roaring back just as furiously, "Amelia Avery, are you fucking crazy? Why are you calling me if youβre looking for Leo Joyce?"
The voice made Amelia Avery freeze. A moment later, a realization dawned on her. She glanced at her phone and saw that, in her panic, sheβd dialed the wrong number. But there was no time to dwell on it. She spoke frantically, "Cassian, Iβm being chased! You have to come save me!"
The words had barely left her mouth when the menβs voices carried from behind her, "Donβt run!"
"Being chased? Heh..." On the other end of the line, Cassian Jennings sneered. "Amelia Avery, do you think this is some kind of fun game?"
Amelia Avery sprinted forward, panting heavily as she spoke. "Cassian Jennings, Iβm not playing around! Iβm really being chased right now! If you wonβt come save me, then please, call my brother and tell him Iβm at the underground market in the south district. I can probably hold out for another half hour."
