Doomsday Life Simulator System In A Zombie Apocalypse World Update Era-Chapter 146: The Blood That Seeks The Grail
[From the void parking space, you could see the change of expressions of Princess Astraea Carmine and perceive her inner panic.]
[After all, who wouldn’t panic when the Millennium Vampire War had just started and her summoning didn’t fail, yet the ones she summoned didn’t respond to her and even disappeared?]
[Astraea was only at the Late Platinum rank. Her bloodline rank was Vampire Royal. Although her strength was secretly greater than her peers, she wasn’t confident that she could win with just herself.]
[If she didn’t have any familiars, then she would be all alone and become an easy target. Her royal siblings and other participants wouldn’t hesitate to eliminate her first since they wouldn’t want her to take advantage of them while they were fighting.]
[Looking at Astraea’s face, which seemed to regain her composure, acting nonchalant, but was inwardly panicking, you noticed that despite her current situation, her appearance remained composed and dignified.]
[Her long crimson hair fell smoothly to her waist like flowing blood, and under the light inside the hall, it carried a faint sheen that made it look even more vivid.]
[Resting slightly above her forehead was a four-pointed star hair accessory made of crimson metal with golden edges and linings, worn like a small tiara that naturally matched her status as a princess of the Dravenhart Clan.]
[Her crimson eyes were calm on the surface, but the slight tightening of her gaze revealed the unease she was trying to suppress.]
[Combined with her pale complexion and delicate features, Astraea gave off the impression of someone noble and untouchable, even while standing alone in front of the summoning magic circle.]
[You sighed, ’Well, I can’t risk the lives of my train crew, so we’ll leave the void parking space only after thirty minutes have passed.’]
[’As long as early departure is available, then we can fight to our heart’s content in this Millennium Vampire War, knowing that we can return to the endless barren wasteland anytime we want.’]
[Although you somewhat felt bad for Princess Astraea, you could only inconvenience her. You might have planned to invite her to your train and let her become part of the Zenith Train Crew, but in the end, she still wasn’t your train crewmate.]
[You knew she could be trusted, but you still didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks, especially when this station world has Vampire Ancestors who could threaten your and your train crewmates’ lives.]
[Just as the four of you were staying in the void parking space, a notification sound resounded in your minds.]
[-Ding!]
{Train Conductors Zayne Voss, Jade Willows, Scarlet Vale, and Old MacDonald have arrived at a Quest-Type Multiplayer Station!}
{The quest details are now being loaded...}
[-Ding!]
{Quest Name: The Blood That Seeks the Grail}
{Quest Description: Every thousand years, the vampire clans wage war for the right to claim the Bloody Grail.
The champion of the Millennium Vampire War will not only gain the qualification to ascend into a Pureblood Vampire, but also receive one wish granted personally by the Vampire Progenitor.
In this cycle of war, Princess Astraea Carmine Dravenhart of the Royal Dravenhart Clan has entered the battlefield after centuries of obscurity.
Though dismissed by her clan as mediocre, she has long prepared for this moment and summoned familiars from beyond the world to overturn the fate written for her.}
{Main Quest: Ensure Princess Astraea Carmine Dravenhart survives until the conclusion of the Millennium Vampire War and secures final ownership of the Bloody Grail.
Astraea must remain a qualified participant and recognized champion when the Bloody Grail descends.}
{Side Quest (Optional):
1.) Eliminate Rival Familiar Forces
- Defeat or eliminate enemy familiars summoned by rival vampire participants.
- Greater completion increases quest rating.
2.) Preserve Astraea’s Bloodline Qualification
- Astraea must not suffer irreversible bloodline corruption, forced enslavement, or disqualification under vampire war rules.
3.) Minimize Direct Exposure to the Vampire Progenitor
- Excessive disruption may attract unnecessary attention from high-ranking vampire entities before the war concludes.}
{Note: Completing side quests is not mandatory, but it will significantly increase quest rating. Quest rating determines the quality of treasure chest rewards.
The wish granted by the Vampire Progenitor belongs by default to the vampire champion unless transferred voluntarily through prior agreement.}
{Quest Failure Conditions:
- Astraea Carmine Dravenhart is killed.
- Astraea loses qualification as a participant in the Millennium Vampire War.
- Another vampire secures ownership of the Bloody Grail.
- The Zenith Train Crew is identified as hostile by the Vampire Progenitor before quest conclusion.}
[All four of you have received that quest description. You all took your time to read it.]
[After you all were finished, Jade spoke up, "The main quest, side quest, and quest failure conditions are as we would expect them to be. However..."]
["According to the note, the wish granted by the Vampire Progenitor belongs to the vampire champion by default. So, we need to ensure that Astraea swore an oath under the contract conditions to transfer the wish-making right to us."]
[Scarlet nodded, "That shouldn’t be a problem. At worst, if she refuses, we’ll just not sign the contract and find other vampire contractors."]
["It doesn’t matter to us who our vampire contractor is. It doesn’t make any difference since Zenith’s current combat power can deal with almost every vampire and Train Conductor here in the station."]
["Even against a Vampire Ancestor who’s at Initial Diamond rank, our chances of winning, as long as we team up, aren’t low."]
[Scarlet was well aware of just how powerful the four of you became, so she naturally was confident about the Zenith Train Crew’s combat power.]
[You still warned, "Even if some of them can be killed by us with just one move, don’t underestimate them since the specialty of this world is Bloodline Magic."]
["This world, while full of vampires, there are still other races here. The power system of this world is magic, and they use mana to cast spells."]
["Bloodline Magic is a set of magic spells that is dependent on the mage’s bloodline. It can be both unique to themselves, or acquired from inheriting their ancestor’s bloodline magic."]
