Douluo: Danheng just want to avoid trouble, Gu Yuena Pursues.-Chapter 331 – Teach Him Something
"Ssshhh...!"
A sound of footsteps echoed.
Dan Heng lifted his head, ears catching the movement.
From the forest, several figures in gray robes emerged, each radiating a sinister aura.
Upon spotting Dan Heng and his group, their faces lit up with glee.
"What luck! To find people even here—our Evil God will now have enough sacrifices!"
The evil soul masters exclaimed excitedly.
Dan Heng raised an eyebrow slightly.Evil soul masters...?Might as well kill them now.
After all, based on Huo Yuhao’s previous behavior, he already deemed the kid worthy of being part of Long Long’s (his son’s) future followers.
He seemed like a sensible child.
All the more reason to hurry back home and reunite with his wives.
Dan Heng raised his hand, releasing a purple glow from his palm.
"Dan Heng, don’t act rashly...!"
A figure flashed—Sea God Poseidon appeared before him, grabbing Dan Heng’s wrist.
"What are you doing?" Dan Heng frowned.
Poseidon chuckled mischievously.
"Don’t you think this is a perfect opportunity for little Yuhao to gain some experience? He’s just a beginner, sure—but he ought to see some blood, don’t you think?"
At that moment, Huo Yuhao had just finished absorbing energy and recovered.
Upon seeing the evil soul masters, he panicked, stood up quickly, and pulled out his White Tiger Dagger, pointing it toward them.
"Who are you?!"
Poseidon gave Dan Heng a smug glance and winked.
"See? This kid’s got potential!"
Dan Heng nodded slightly, somewhat agreeing.
A person’s instinctive reaction doesn’t lie.
The moment Yuhao saw the enemies, his instinct was to stand and face them, not flee or hide.
That only made Dan Heng like the child even more.
"Then there’s no need to test him further," Dan Heng said flatly.
Poseidon shook his head urgently.
"That won’t do! Dan Heng, think about it—good character is one thing, but if he has no strength, how can he assist Long Long in the future?"
"Just observe first—don’t interfere."
Poseidon spoke solemnly.
He knew just how capable Dan Heng was at teaching.
If he didn’t take advantage of Dan Heng’s presence now, he’d be a fool to call himself Yuhao’s teacher!
Dan Heng frowned. Poseidon had a point.
"But... they’re already dead."
Dan Heng shook his head.
Poseidon blinked and turned toward the evil soul masters.
Those enemies had been frozen in place from the start, expressions of glee still plastered on their faces—but they didn’t move. Slowly, their bodies became translucent... then faded away entirely.
Poseidon’s face twitched hard.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
"That’s... the God of Destruction’s power?! Why do you have it?!"
Dan Heng nodded calmly.
"Yes. They entrusted me with their divine positions—to pass on to a worthy successor."
"Wait, WHAT?!"
Poseidon’s voice spiked in pitch. He grabbed Dan Heng by the shoulders and shook him.
"Two God-King positions?! WHY YOU?!"
Sure, he could accept the Goddess of Life doing this—but the God of Destruction hated Dan Heng the most! Why would he give his godhood away like that?!
Dan Heng turned his head to avoid Poseidon’s flaring nostrils and gently pushed his hands off.
Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao noticed the evil soul masters vanish.
He froze. A terrifying wave of emptiness passed over him, like nearly drowning. He gasped hard, breathing heavily to calm himself.
Turning to look at Dan Heng and Poseidon, he suddenly heard the voice of the Skydream Iceworm in his mind.
"MY GOD! Someone just made a move! I bet it was that Dan Heng guy! Scary as hell—he didn’t even reveal a speck of power, and all those evil soul masters dropped dead!"
"And Yuhao, your talent now exceeds innate full soul power! I was worried I couldn’t enhance your talent—but now? Just cling to these two powerhouses!"
The Skydream Iceworm was screaming with excitement in his head.
Yuhao held his head, trying not to be driven crazy by the shouting, while looking at Dan Heng and Poseidon with stars in his eyes.
"Master, Martial Uncle... you’re incredible!"
Yuhao’s gaze sparkled.
For the first time, he truly realized how lucky he was!
Poseidon flashed next to him, then looked back at Dan Heng with pride.
"Dan Heng, look at our disciple—overflowing with respect! Aren’t you going to teach him something? Just look at his current strength!"
"Otherwise, he might not even acknowledge you as his martial uncle!"
Poseidon chuckled.
Yuhao’s cheeks flushed, as if wanting to protest, but Poseidon held him in a half-hug and he didn’t dare say a word.
Dan Heng hesitated. Seeing that it wouldn’t take much time to give the kid a power boost—and since it would help build a team for his son—he nodded.
"Very well..."
Poseidon immediately smacked Yuhao lightly on the head.
"Quick! Bow to your martial uncle! He’s a brilliant teacher—his disciple is the strongest soul master on the continent!"
Yuhao didn’t hesitate; he dropped to his knees.
But an invisible force lifted him back up.
"That won’t be necessary." Dan Heng shook his head.
Poseidon grinned.
"Getting shy? Anyway, Dan Heng, at least give him a training plan. Later, we’ll let Yuhao go fight some evil soul masters."
"!!!" Yuhao’s eyes widened.
He...? Fight evil soul masters?
"Of course! Let’s both teach him and see whose method works best!" Poseidon said, suddenly competitive.
If he could win over Dan Heng for once, he’d be overjoyed!
"Whatever." Dan Heng didn’t care.
He swept his gaze across the land, his spiritual sense stretching for miles. Soon, he located a den of evil soul masters nearby.
It was in a small valley—over thirty of them, the strongest being a Title Douluo. Many civilians were imprisoned inside, along with plenty of corpses.
A group of disgusting monsters.
Poseidon had Yuhao sit and continue meditating to absorb energy, then wrapped his arm around Dan Heng’s shoulder again.
"Dan Heng, did you find them?"
Poseidon rubbed his nose and snorted.
"I smelled something disgusting—like those evil soul beasts from before."
Dan Heng nodded.
"They’ll do for his trial."
"Great! Let’s each prepare something to teach him, then see which direction he likes more!"
Poseidon leaned against a tree and began thinking seriously.
Dan Heng, however, wasn’t in a rush. He observed Yuhao’s condition and already had an idea in mind.
Some time later...
The life energy within Yuhao finally stabilized—some absorbed into his body, enhancing his physique and talent, the rest collected by the Skydream Iceworm.
Yuhao stood up, feeling a new strength and lightness in his body.
Sensing his soul power, he was shocked—he had jumped nine levels, reaching Level 19!
And that wasn’t even all of the life energy.
He pinched his cheek hard—feeling pain confirmed he wasn’t dreaming.
He had really met two powerhouses, become their disciple, and had his talent enhanced!
Suddenly, the Iceworm’s loud laughter returned in his head.
It was practically manic—shouting things like "jackpot!" over and over.
"Yuhao, excellent! With the Leaf of Life repairing your foundation, your talent has truly improved..." Poseidon walked over smiling.
Yuhao bowed quickly.
"Thank you, Teacher!"
"Good kid. Don’t be nervous. Since I’ve accepted you as my student, I’ll make sure you become the strongest soul master in the world!"
"Let’s see what path I’ve planned for you..."
Poseidon extended his palm—summoning a golden trident, ancient and divine.
Yuhao received it with both hands—his waist instantly bending under the weight.
"So heavy..."
"This was once my weapon. Now sealed, or else you wouldn’t even be able to lift it. The corresponding technique is called the Golden Thirteen Strikes—keep it safe!"
He touched Yuhao’s forehead—directly implanting the memory into his soul.
Even deeper than oral teaching.
Yuhao’s expression shifted as he absorbed the technique—then lit up in joy.
It was clearly a divine-level skill!
"Thank you, Teacher!" Yuhao said excitedly.
Poseidon ruffled his hair, then turned to Dan Heng with a smug grin.
He knew Dan Heng didn’t train in soul power. Even his brilliant disciple, Zhu Zhuqing, had grown up step-by-step. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
But he, Poseidon, just gifted a god-level technique!
What could Dan Heng possibly offer that could compare?
Dan Heng ignored his smugness and summoned a book.
"A book? Dan Heng, don’t tell me you’re chickening out and giving him something random?" Poseidon mocked.
Dan Heng shook his head and gave him a look of utter disdain.
Poseidon was rattled.
"Hey, what’s that look?! And why give him a book? Why not just implant the knowledge like I did?"
Yuhao took the book respectfully and bowed.
"Thank you, Martial Uncle."
He looked at the cover: "Soul Tools", handwritten.
Poseidon glanced at it and laughed.
"Soul tools? Don’t tell me you’re teaching him to make storage rings or something? Tools? Dan Heng, you’re really disappointing me... Or are you scared my disciple will surpass yours?"
He laughed slyly and patted Dan Heng’s shoulder.
"Don’t worry, Yuhao won’t look down on your gift. He knows you mean well..."
Dan Heng glanced at him with pity.
Even the best treasure, in the hands of a fool, was wasted.
This book on soul tool theory was something Dan Heng had carefully compiled over time.
He wasn’t a genius, but with enough study, he could distill insights that—for this world—were practically dimensional leaps.
Like a college student dominating a kindergarten.
Yuhao, on the other hand, was genuinely thrilled.
"It’s soul tool knowledge!"
His excitement was real—it couldn’t be faked.
Poseidon was dumbfounded.
"Yuhao, you’re actually happy? You know what soul tools are? They’re just tools—what’s the big deal?"
He flipped through a few pages—what he saw only deepened his confusion.
Sure, they were "external aids"—not aligned with traditional cultivation values.
But Yuhao’s eyes were glowing. He explained seriously:
"Teacher, soul tools are incredibly important in today’s Douluo Continent. The Sun-Moon Empire was able to contend with other empires—except Fontaine—because of their soul tools!"
"They’ve evolved dramatically. Once useless against Title Douluos, they now match them. Even the Douluo continent is investing in them—especially Fontaine Empire..."
"In the future, soul tools might even reach the god-level—and do things normal people can’t!"
Yuhao was fired up, eyes fixed hungrily on the book in Poseidon’s hand.
He looked like a starving wolf.
If it were anyone else holding it, he’d probably snatch it already.
Poseidon felt a twinge of jealousy.
When he gave Yuhao the golden trident and divine technique, he wasn’t this happy...
Clearly, Yuhao preferred Dan Heng’s gift.
Poseidon had lost?!
He handed the book back to Yuhao with a sigh.
"Study it well... And soon, you’ll go wipe out that evil soul master hideout."
"!!!"
Yuhao’s mouth dropped open.Wasn’t that... a bit too much?
Elsewhere, in a part of Star Dou Forest:
A group of evil soul masters was chasing two teenagers—a handsome boy and a beautiful girl, now in a sorry state.
"Quit running! You’re just Soul Lords—think you can escape us?"
The evil soul masters laughed, keeping pace easily but not attacking—like a cat toying with mice.
The teens realized this, but could only keep running, panting and drenched in sweat.
Suddenly, a black shadow flashed.
An evil soul master appeared in front of them.
"Game over. Time to summon the Evil God—you two make perfect sacrifices."
He sneered.
The two teens turned to run another way—only to find themselves surrounded.
Dozens of evil soul masters—all Soul Emperors or higher.
"We’re doomed..." they thought.
