Draconic King of Shadows-Chapter 50: Magitech
[Daily Quests have been missed for a week]
[All missed Daily Quests would be stacked]
"...I’m so f**ked," Damion muttered under his breath.
The Daily Quests were already proving to be deadly, and if they were all stacked up, then wasn’t the System just trying to kill him.
Damion sighed. He looked back up and took a step forward, only to find a pair of green eyes strangely close to him.
"Are you going to explain now?" Matilda’s voice was heard.
Damion sighed again. This was going to be a very long day.
He sat back on the bed, and Matilda proceeded to sit across him, a stoic expression plastered on her face.
Kenzo’s attention was drawn to the duo, and though he was still angry, he decided to listen to whatever Damion was going to say.
"Truth be told, I didn’t have any control over what happened that day," Damion said. "But, I know you can feel it too... there’s a connection between us."
Kenzo’s eyes narrowed, and his gaze jumped between his sister and Damion. ’Connection?’ he thought to himself.
"Matilda, what’s he talking about?" Kenzo butted in.
Matilda stared at her brother for a moment, before she spoke aloud. "Just like how we can communicate through Telepathy, so can I and Damion," Matilda dropped the first bomb.
"We can also use each other’s Abilities, right?" Matilda questioned, and Damion nodded.
Kenzo choked on his saliva after hearing that, and his eyes widened to their limits. "How long has this... connection been established?!" He hollered. "And why didn’t you tell me about this?!"
Matilda winced when her brother shouted, both with his mouth and in her mind.
"Calm down for a second!" Matilda yelled back. "I only figured it out recently."
"I knew it," Kenzo said again, his Stigmas beginning to appear over his body. "From the first day I saw you and her fighting those other students, I knew something was wrong."
Kenzo slowly sat up, revealing his battered body. He, unlike Damion and Matilda, was still injured, and using his Ability seemed to be making his injuries worse, but it looked like he didn’t care, he was too angry to be stopped by pain.
"You did something, but claim you know nothing about it!"
"Kenzo calm down," Matilda said and moved to stop Kenzo, but he brushed her aside, forcing his way towards Damion.
"Undo what you did to her!" He ordered.
"I did nothing," Damion replied, before saying in a voice only he could hear. "Technically it wasn’t me."
Kenzo grabbed Damion by the collar, and his sword appeared in his other hand. "You think I’m joking!"
"Brother stop!" Matilda grabbed Kenzo’s arm and tried to free his grip on Damion.
Damion didn’t react to this but waited, and after a few seconds, he rose to his feets.
Kenzo was just an inch taller than him, but his momentum was no less raging than his. "Let go of me." Damion uttered, Dragon’s Authority roaring to life and bearing down on Kenzo. His eyes glowed, and Kenzo’s grip loosened subconsciously.
Matilda was taken aback by this, and she was even more shocked when Damion turned around, and left.
She was at loss for what to do. On one hand she wanted to go after Damion and smoothen things out with him, he hadn’t given her the full explanation of what happened after all. On the other hand, she wanted to stay with her brother.
She hesitated for a moment, before eventually choosing the latter. "Family first."

Damion walked silently, his emotions raging like a tempest. Kenzo hadn’t believed him, so he should have believed his sister... at least that’s what he thought.
He even felt like he and Kenzo were getting closer with each sparring and training they had, but it seemed he was wrong.
"Motherf**ker!" Damion cursed.
It didn’t take much time before Damion ended up standing before the Advanced Exosuit Prototyping Class. He had missed his meetup with Lyra due to obvious reasons, so he decided to come back.
One week had gone by, and if Lyra was smart enough, she should be here again, waiting for him.
"I still need to collect the gear I commissioned from the Blacksmithing Class," Damion said as he leaped forward, latching onto a crevice and pulling himself up.
One time, one of his Daily Quests required him to scale a five storey building three times! He had done it, though not without failing multiple times and falling off the wall. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
He luckily had Shadow Walk, which he used to teleport when he fell, if not, he might not have survived.
Damion even found a new combo for his skills, but he barely used it so as to save Mana.
He jumped over the Parapet and landed on the rooftop, scanning the surrounding area immediately.
Seeing that Lyra wasn’t around, he decided to wait.
A few hours went by swiftly, and the sound of an opening door and approaching footsteps pulled him out of his deep thoughts.
"Where have you been?"
"I’ve been busy," Damion replied almost immediately.
Damion turned around to see Lyra, expecting her to be holding the equipment. However, he found a suitcase in her hands instead.
"I tried my best," Lyra beamed, raising the suitcase and handing it over to Damion.
’Don’t tell me she made a weapon,’ Damion thought, already regretting handing her the Green Rose Poison Heart Core.
He wasn’t a Blacksmith, but he thought the best equipment for the Green Rose Poison Heart Core was a Chest piece.
’I might be wrong though,’ he concluded and opened the suitcase.
As soon as he opened it, he expected a bright light to momentarily make him close his eyes, but what he found in the suitcase was...
"A ball?" Damion asked.
To this, Lyra replied, "Pick it up."
Damion glanced at her, then reached out to pick up the ball.
Inches away from the ball, it reacted, vibrating for a second before breaking down into nanoparticles and shooting towards Damion’s hand swiftly.
They latched onto his body and began to roll up his arms. Damion reached out and wanted to take it off, but the timely intervention of Lyra stopped him.
"Don’t resist!" She warned.
Damion calmed himself. Since his danger sense wasn’t going off, then there shouldn’t be a problem.
The tiny particles rolled up his arms, coiling around his body like a snake and slithering towards his chest.
The nanoparticles stopped for a second, before it began to spread, covering his body inch by inch until his whole torso was encased in a thick black armor.
A spike jutted out of one shoulder, and a purple glow began to come from the seams and small openings in it.
"How do you like that?!" Lyra exclaimed, a bright smile on her face. "My first Magitech equipment!"
