Dragon Game: All My Dragons Are Ranked 'SSS'-Chapter 50: What happened before - one
Drahon was very much intrigued with the last words. If that was then..., there was some mystery to the game he was yet to uncover, just like the other tons of mysteries he was yet to find an answer to.
The players were likely to have similar tales prior to their entrance into the Dragon Game. They were usually hopeless and in despair until they saw the eggs that would bring open the portal that would lead them into the game.
Something similar had happened to Devon. He was in a very helpless state before he found the egg.
Same with Ayvira, and if she was correct with what she said about players having similar backgrounds then... MYSTERY!
Why was it so, and how was this possible?
Of course, Earth is a large place where coincidence was normal, but not at this rate.
How was it possible that something really bad happened to the players on the same day—except him though?
Drahon’s wasn’t as painful as Ayvira’s and Devon’s though. He was told to pick trash as his punishment for beating a bully in the orphanage, and even though it was on a large scale, it wasn’t as severe as Ayvira’s, Devon’s, or perhaps the other players’.
He had taken the egg to be something random, not putting so much thought into it.
Of course, he didn’t know who his father and mother were and he was abandoned, but that didn’t mean he found the egg in a hopeless state.
This was what led to the event at the beginning of Chapter one:
"Horny boy, haha." A fat boy with a really big belly had said to Drahon, who had been sitting on a bench by the orphanage’s cafeteria, reading a fantasy novel.
Drahon had sighed. He really didn’t have time for this.
Then, because of the numerous discriminations he had received because of his horns, he had gotten to hate humans a bit, even though he was technically one, and so he simply didn’t reply to the fat boy staring at him.
The fat boy had been with a friend, a tall boy who looked strong, and by the looks of it, they had both wanted a reply.
Drahon simply continued reading, acting like they were talking to some ghost beside him.
"Hope you heard us, you son of a bitch," the fat boy had said, and the boy behind him had laughed.
Drahon had decided to say something, stepping away from his taciturn character a bit.
"At least I have actual living parents," He had said.
"Woahhh!" a boy who had been passing by had said as he stopped to look at the scene. "The horn guy might be a freak but that line was sick."
The fat boy’s face had become reddish, and he had stared at Drahon with anger.
Drahon hadn’t given a fuck. The fat boy couldn’t beat him anyway. He could single-handedly beat the idiot like it was nothing. Plus, his horn had been a great advantage, it had come in handy in case he had wanted to nod.
In the past, he had fought with kids his age and had won, and now that he was a teenager, he wouldn’t have hesitated to do so again.
"How dare you talk to me like that," the fat boy had said. "If you had parents then why are you here? That means you were abandoned. Hahahaha."
The boy had nodded and shaken his head, high-fiving his friend.
Drahon weren’t moved by the words. Gone were the days he would have been angry because of an insult; at that moment, he just hadn’t given a fuck.
"Well, that doesn’t erase the fact that your parents are ’D’ ’E’ ’A’ ’D’. They are dead, like your daft brain," Drahon had said and chuckled softly. He had done the verbal damage. All he wanted so badly was for the boy to come at him so he could do the physical damage.
"Woahhh!" the boy who had passed earlier had said. "The horn boy is on fire today."
"That’s it," the fat boy had said and clenched his fists, coming at Drahon.
Drahon had simply stood up, sidestepped in time to dodge the attack, and had thrown the boy a punch by the side of the jaw.
The boy had reeled back, and just as he had been doing so, Drahon literally turned into prime Roman Reigns and had driven into the boy in a SPEAR!, his horn doing the damage on his stomach.
The boy had almost vomited as he fell onto the ground.
"I’ll go tell Miss Fiddleson!" the boy who had been watching had said and ran away.
The cafeteria had been closed, and now there had been no one there, only Drahon, the now-crying fat boy, and his friend who had been trying to console him.
---
And that was how Chapter one came to be. The fat boy was Greg.
Thinking about it, Drahon realized that he had matured since that occurrence. Not that he hadn’t been mature then, but from holding his life by a piece of a thread...
At this point, looking back at his experiences, he noticed that trying to survive in this godforsaken world hadn’t been easy.
And so far, he had gotten able to do the things he wanted to do. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
He sort of had a bucket list in his mind- the things he wanted to do in life before he died:
1. Ride a dragon. (He had done that, riding two dragons.)
2. Owning a dragon. (He currently owned two dragons which he could summon anytime.)
3. Making a friend. (So far, he had made two—Devon and now Ayvira, if he could consider her one.)
4. Have an actual conversation with someone. (He had started this with Devon, but it had been sort of awkward and hadn’t gone on for long, but now, he was doing so with Ayvira.)
5. Fight against fictional monsters and villains. (He had done this, only that it hadn’t been fictional—it had been real.)
And lastly, the one that had almost made him shed some tears, the one that had hit the most, that had seemed impossible, that had sounded and felt like it was never happening:
6. Meet his parents or know who they were, if they were still alive or dead.
Ayvira had stopped talking with those last words she had said, as she had been deep in thought.
And so was Drahon too, only his had been more emotional.
While Ayvira might have gotten to see her parents, he never got the chance to see his.
