When he initiated his breakthrough, his soul sea, which always used to be calm as a mirror, started boiling up tremendously. A small vortex formed inside it.

Slowly, the vortex started expanding and only stopped when it was big enough to swallow a big pavilion.

Lin Feng watched everything happening inside as the vortex stopped expanding. A small white orb appeared from the bottom of it.

The orb contained a small white figure floating inside it who was sitting in a lotus position.

The white orb ascended slowly and left the scope of the vortex. It flew up till it reached a certain height above the soul sea and stopped.

The figure inside the orb was none other than a miniature version of Lin Feng which contained all his essence of life. It was the true representation of his soul.

Lin Feng willed it, and his soul opened its eyes, and when it did, his perception changed and became one with it. He could see the inside of the orb and control the miniature soul to move inside.

He opened his eyes in the real world. The breakthrough in qi cultivation and body cultivation exhibited similar results with only one difference: the protective orb around the soul.

If he had broken through only in qi cultivation, then he wouldn’t have the yang barrier around his soul.

In body cultivation, the soul was protected heavily since it couldn’t attack or move like in qi cultivation.

All in all, now that he had broken through, he could leave his own body and still survive using only his nascent soul. The only issue was that right now it was too fragile to leave for a longer duration.

He didn’t stand up and continued absorbing the yin bead. This time it took even less time to breakthrough to mid-stage of Nascent Soul. It was because his increase in absorption speed was far more than the increase in qi required to breakthrough.
