The changes and fluctuations were still very subtle, so much so that Alm and Bruno didn’t notice them right away. It was only after Ruri’s words that they realized. Only someone at the core of this place, with great knowledge of formations, could identify something like that. At that moment, Ruri was the only one capable.

She focused on the ground, quickly turned to them, and communicated through the array: ’It’s coming from those five underground channels that absorb the mist. Something external is interfering with them...’

Alm and Bruno quickly thought and looked at Isla. She hadn’t noticed yet, but soon enough, she might awaken due to this disturbance.

They had no idea what Caipora was planning, but one thing was certain: somehow, she wasn’t fully on the queen’s side.

Instinctively, they didn’t feel any imminent danger, but a strange sensation began to grow within them at that moment.

’This could be a big opportunity arising...’ Alm murmured mentally, turning toward the woman in meditation, thinking deeply as he observed her.

Bruno, without hesitation, asked Ruri: ’Isla is absorbing the mist through the formation, right? Break into the formation and use this opportunity for us. We need to get her out of here.’

Ruri acted quickly. In one minute, she created a multicolored rune and showed it to them. Alm and Bruno removed a fragment of their celestial souls and fused it with that rune.

Ruri made the rune sink into the ground. The next moment, it jumped onto their backs. Alm and Bruno gave one last look at Isla, mentally sighing in sync: ’Just a little longer. We won’t leave her in their hands for much longer.’

Ruri didn’t hear them but seemed to feel their words. She just smiled lightly, enigmatically. The next moment, they turned and ran quickly, leaving the area and returning to where they were supposed to be.

As they crossed the barrier, Ruri immediately closed her eyes, focusing entirely on her task.

Alm and Bruno felt the environment around them and finally realized something was deeply wrong with the formation. It was at that instant that a voice came from inside the inventory:

’Master! It’s reacting!’

Liumi exclaimed, and they quickly turned to the inventory. There, they saw the small statue pulsing subtly, and the bell beside it was also vibrating.

Bruno grabbed the objects quickly, surprised. A fragment of the god’s faith power had been transferred back to them.

’What the hell... is this connected to Caipora?’ Bruno murmured.

Alm quickly thought. When they found this ’weapon’ among many others, Bruno chose it because he sensed it was related to the power of faith, feeling curious. When deciding to keep it, the judge stated it belonged to a dead god. But now, they knew that god was very much alive.

’Were we manipulated into picking this?’ Alm reflected.

It wasn’t hard to predict their actions. As forgers, they had no interest in any of those weapons. But this one stood out immediately due to its peculiarity. And, to top it off, how satisfying would it be to smash opponents with a bell and a statue?

They took out the bell and the statue, and almost simultaneously, the entire crater and world began to shake violently.

The two felt the dense mist in the place stir before being pulled toward the ground by an immense force. It was predictable: if the five channels were being used, they were surely trying to steal this mist.

In the next instant, Bruno clearly sensed a connection coming from the statue. Soon after, an intense white light erupted in that place.

’It’s her.’ Bruno said, turning towards the light. Radiating from it was a small female figure floating high up.

Without hesitation, they ran towards the light. During their run, they saw the specters fleeing in the opposite direction, as if in panic. Until...

*BOOM!*

The spatial laws and the entire horizon shattered like glass. They looked up and saw hundreds of golden auras trying to invade the place. However, the small woman waved, and the light became even more intense, blocking the passage through the cracks.

Alm observed Caipora’s figure floating, surrounded by a supreme white light, as she drew closer. Upon sensing it, for the first time in countless years, he felt a bit frightened.

The power emanating from her was something they had never witnessed. It vaguely reminded him of...

’Yinou said she reached a power identical to the ninth level of True God. She has power equivalent to that of a Chaos Dragon at its peak. Even the strongest hero can’t be much stronger than her now... but, it comes at a high cost.’ Ruri spoke through the array, opening her eyes.

Alm nodded, understanding. That was the power close to the maximum someone below the queen could reach. They had killed the Chaos Dragon Yang before, but he was severely injured and weakened. He died without even using 1% of his power, and still, there was no defense against him.

Then, Bruno exclaimed: ’That’s it! Look at her heart, in that rune which is her true body.’

Caipora’s true body was exposed, being used to the limit. Alm and Ruri observed a small celestial blue dot, almost imperceptible, within the few-centimeter-wide primordial rune. That was the power of faith, coming from another god.

’She’s using the power of another god. Looks like it’s a Deity who also uses the power of faith... Caipora is using everything, combined with a strange technique; but what does she intend...’ Bruno stopped speaking, halting his run.

Caipora opened her eyes and looked down, meeting their gaze, as they were relatively close. A faint smile crossed her face at that moment.

"So it was you..." she murmured softly. "I did my best. Please... if you can, forgive him and convince him to stay by your side..." Her voice was almost inaudible, but it was clear she was referring to the Tarrasque.

*CRACK!*

The skies cracked and trembled even more as a golden power flowed through all the fissures. The place would soon be invaded by the heroes.

She sighed, then raised her arm. "Sorry. Thank you."

At that moment, Alm sensed the Yin of death flowing from various places around the edges of that world. The rune, which had only a small celestial blue dot, rapidly expanded, covering the entire rune.

It became clear that all the young people from her continent also had this connection with that God and were part of the plan. They positioned themselves at the five points of the formation and created this opening. Now, they had sacrificed themselves to strengthen Caipora.

With their celestial souls, Alm and Bruno felt the laws move, taking the souls away. At least their souls were intact and died without resentment, meaning they acted of their own will, knowing the risks.

Ruri closed her eyes; this was the moment for the opportunity with Isla. Caipora, on her part, snorted coldly before raising both hands to the sky and shouting with all her strength:

"BREAK!!!"

The white light grew in all directions, shooting upwards like a celestial pillar. Caipora’s physical body disintegrated, her rune cracked, and her soul shattered, dissolving.

It was clear that she didn’t possess all that power and was using an external force to achieve it through her sacrifice.

The pillar of light broke the heavens, creating a massive hole as if time and space had been destroyed. Nothing seemed capable of resisting the strike, but it had a specific direction.

On the Alpenglow planet, on the Crown continent, a colossal castle of unimaginable proportions and splendor was surrounded by golden auras.

Hundreds of heroes with furious expressions guarded the place. Until suddenly, a white light completely enveloped the castle.

"FUCK! ACTIVATE ALL DEFENSES!"

**BOOM!!!**

The entire planet trembled as an unprecedented wave of destruction spread. Only this wave could exterminate any form of life. Even a low-level immortal would be easily annihilated.

The God Gaia opened his eyes, stunned. He obviously wouldn’t allow that to happen and quickly used his own power.

All life forms on the continents felt an apocalyptic tremor. Shortly after, they noticed something alarming: the entire planet seemed to be wilting, like a tree drying up before their eyes.

The wave of destruction was contained by God Gaia, but the cost was extremely high. He had to burn all his power. Still, he didn’t seem worried; in a few years, he would absorb energy from the primordial sun to recover.

However, when he closed his eyes again, he instinctively felt that this act would seal his fate soon. He merely snorted, ignoring the premonition. What could happen?

As for the sacred castle...

The white light dissipated, and everything returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.

A hero with a contorted face looked at a tablet and coldly declared to the other heroes around him: "No damage occurred. The defenses absorbed everything perfectly."

A dark elf heroine quickly asked: "What was the cost?"

"Everything. All the castle’s energies were drained. It’s not a big deal; in thirty days, it will be 100% operational again," he replied, snorting.

The heroine commented: "I understand... But the oracle was forcibly interrupted and can’t make predictions without the castle’s power. We’ll have to suspend the previous investigations."

"Correct. During this time, mobilize all those who were investigating and waiting for predictions. Direct them to investigate that traitor. Nothing must escape. Everything and everyone on her continent needs to be searched."

The hero sent the message to all available. Without delay, they moved and invaded that separate world.

Upon arrival, they found the place almost completely devoid of mist; about 90% of it had been stolen and used for that attack.

The dark elf heroine looked at all the remaining specters and sighed in relief. By removing everything the specters contained in their crystals, it would be possible to recover a third of the power the mist had. Together with what was left, it would be enough.

The first action of the heroes was to advance toward the barrier in the center of the place. There, they checked that it was completely intact. It became evident that the attack had been specifically targeted at the castle, not the mirror.

The traitor was unaware of the existence of that mirror, as such information was restricted to the heroes. However, even if she knew, the figure guarding it had methods to escape before anything worse happened. In fact, she had used that and was already at the castle, with the mirror.

Soon, the heroes identified all 17 young people at the site. Only then did they remember that the sacred tournament was ongoing, and they were authorized to be there. Only the eight young people from Caipora’s continent had disappeared, further confirming the occurrence.

"The traitor really used the people from her continent! Send everyone there immediately!"

Everyone nodded. After using their perceptions to scan the entire crater region, they were sure that nothing wrong had been left behind.

Since they didn’t find any trace of the traitor, which they had already judged impossible to be left after the power she used, they set off with bloodthirsty gazes toward the continent.
