Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 88: She Has Deep Feelings For You
Kaleb was suddenly frightened by a loud sound. It took him a second to realize that Tristan had slammed his fist over his desk.
’Shit, did I over do it?’ he wondered frightfully.
"How long have we been working together?" Tristan suddenly asked.
Not certain where the question was coming from, Kaleb still replied, "About eight years now."
"Well, that seems like long enough. I’m sure you can easily find other jobs."
’Wait what?’
Kaleb suddenly understood Tristan’s meaning. Was he being fired?
"P-P-President, I have a girlfriend. She’ll leave me if I suddenly become jobless." Kaleb quickly reminded, he was on the verge of bursting into tears.
Was it a crime to find juicy gossip and come share them with his boss? Yes, he had added that last part himself to see the president’s reaction.
’Why can’t you control your foolish mouth Kaleb? I don’t wanna get fired!’
He quickly thought of something and hurriedly said, "President, I think that woman is somewhat reserved, she definitely won’t fall for the charms of someone like Ryan."
Feeling as if his words weren’t having the desired effects yet, Kaleb immediately continued.
"Besides, I saw how she looked at you when she came in here earlier, forget Ryan’s looks, your looks are enough to cause a married woman to commit adultery." Tristan shot him a glare and he quickly changed his words.
"I mean..., what I’m trying to say is, she seems to have a thing for you president. I saw it in the way she looks at you even if she tried to hide it, in fact it feels like she has some deep hidden feelings for you."
Tristan’s hands which were signing papers suddenly stopped as he heard that, noticing this reaction Kaleb’s eyes lit up as he thought,
’Wow, this is actually working?’
"Just like the saying, destined lovers meet in over ten lifetimes, and each time they meet for the first time they feel as if they’ve known each other before, that was exactly how she looked at you. President, more than Ryan I think Miss Roberts is more suitable for you, anyone can see it, you two would look great together, it’s like you’re destined lovers from over ten lifetimes."
Tristan looked at Kaleb who was busy spouting nonsense, he couldn’t believe that for a minute he had almost taken his words seriously. "If you spend the time you do on watching silly romance movies doing something else, you would have been a lot more efficient."
Destined lovers from ten lifetimes? Nothing could have sounded more ridiculous.
Kaleb scratched his head, "Romance movies give you good ideas president. Impressing a girl becomes so much easier if you watch those movies. It’s how I got Hailey, you know till this day, she says she has never met a man as romantic as me. Hailey is..."
Kaleb almost got lost in his rambling until those sharp eyes reminded him it was time to stop there. He didn’t have to tell the president about all the details between him and his girlfriend. The point Kaleb was trying to make was that, there was no need being with someone if one didn’t truly love them. Him and Hailey loved each other and the way his boss looked at that woman...if he would only give his heart a chance...
Forget it, he won’t hear it from him. He might he threatened with his job again.
"Have you submitted the files or did you just go to gossip?" Tristan suddenly asked.
Kaleb’s eyes slowly lit up.
’Does this mean I’m no longer fired?’
"Yes, yes, submitted already." Kaleb replied chirpily.
"Prepare the office next door, have miss Roberts move in immediately. Also, she is to be my executive." Tristan released these set of instructions at once stunning Kaleb.
"Ah?"
Kaleb couldn’t shut his mouth, the woman barely had enough shares in the company to qualify for such a lofty position. Making her executive to the vice president was already outrageous, now the president himself wants to make her his executive?! This was mind-blowing!
"But president, the office next door is already occupied and..."
"Kaleb, did I stutter, or were my words too difficult to understand?"
"No, no, not difficult at all, and you definitely didn’t stutter. I’ll see to it right away, whoever is currently occupying that office will be kicked out!" Kaleb said quickly scrambling away for his dear life to arrange what Tristan asked for.

That day ended much quicker than she expected. First she was given one office, then all of a sudden she was taken to another, Celine didn’t know what was going on through the heads of these people at Grayson Corp, and her main position hadn’t been decided yet.
As Celine went down to the parking garage, her sight landed on someone from afar, her heart immediately skipped a beat at the sight of him. He was on a call beside his car, but he turned around all of a sudden, her blue eyes locked with his deep hazel ones and she quickly shifted her gaze, as if she hadn’t been staring she got into her car and drove out of the parking lot.
Celine’s heart was hammering while driving as she recalled the heated kiss from that morning.
How dare he think he could just take liberties with her by kissing her like that? All for what, to seemingly remind her of the past? If that night had been so freaking memorable for him then why did he suddenly leave?
He never even bothered to say goodbye and she had stupidly thought that what they shared was special only to come out and see that he was gone.
Celine forced the feeling that kiss was eliciting within her to stop, she wouldn’t think about him anymore.
Why should she continue being restless? Why should she continue being haunted by those memories, it was long gone now.
Celine parked her car into Natalia’s driveway and went into the house.
"Mommy!"
"Mommy!"
One excited and one small aloof voice called out to her immediately she came into the house. She squatted to hug her little kids.
"How are my babies, you didn’t bother your godmother now did you?" Celine asked placing kisses on her children’s cheeks.
"No we didn’t." Leah excitedly denied.
"She did. She drew paintings on the walls without permission." Leo busted her without batting an eye.
Celine spent the next ten minutes listening to them argue while hearing all the silly things they’d done during the day exasperatedly.
"You’re back?" Natalia called coming out of the kitchen.
Celine ruffled Leo’s hair, something stirred in her heart as she gazed at his face which was almost identical to Tristan’s, and Leah’s resemblance to him as well, she felt guilty, she was depriving her children of being with their father even if he was right there, but she couldn’t bear to watch her children face the pain of rejection from their own father when he showed that he never wanted them in the first place.
She left the kids and went to the kitchen with Natalia, "Nat, thank you and I’m sorry for the trouble these past few days, the house has already been prepared and I’ve also hired their nanny, they will go back to school tomorrow and we’ll move out in a few days."
"What are you talking about Celine, I adore those little cuties, they’ve literally become my favorite darlings. I love taking care of them when you’re not here, it gives me an idea of what being a mother would feel like. If you weren’t insisting to leave repeatedly I really would have loved to have you all for as long as you want. I’m really going to miss you guys." Natalia said with gentleness in her tone.
She looked to the twins who were arguing with one another and felt like she was missing them already. She couldn’t think of what she would do with her free time now if they were gone.
Celine hugged Natalia tightly, she was the only person who had remained by her side all this time. "I’m going to miss you too."

The move wasn’t as difficult as Celine had assumed. The kids started school again and they moved out of Natalia’s apartment in less than two days.
She’d bought a lovely villa in Blue Lake residential area, a very beautiful part of Neville. The villa was nicely decorated to her taste, there were still so many unfinished touches she planned to add on later, however, her kids and herself settled in nicely.
The nanny Rachel came in Monday morning and Celine explained her duties to her. She would take the kids to school and back, then take care of them until Celine returned at the end of the day.
After making all these arrangements, Celine left for work, but immediately she came in, Tristan’s assistant Kaleb came up to her.
"Miss Roberts, the president has asked for you in his office."
A light frown graced her brows. What did he want from her now?
Celine had been coming to work for the past two days but all she did was sit in her office with absolutely nothing to do, her position in the company hadn’t been assigned yet so unless there were meetings she had to attend, she had no work at the moment.
She just hoped he was calling her mainly for work and nothing else.
Celine went to the office next to her own, she knocked lightly and a second later his deep voice came from inside.
"Come in."
