DxD: I know…I'm not the real one,just a cheap copy. but...I'd win-Chapter 33: Winter Shoguns (1).
Chapter 33 - 33: Winter Shoguns (1).
"We choose this quest."
Sanguinius (fake) was accompanied by Kazuma's group at the adventurers' guild.
Yes, he couldn't escape this cursed group like Kazuma did.
The original Sanguinius wanted to sleep more and prepare for his walk with Luna, so he used the Proxy spell.
The fake Sanguinius was sent to the adventurers' guild to complete quests, but he unfortunately ran into Megumin.
She wanted his help to cast her explosive spell of the day, but she decided to follow him on his quests.
Of course, he tried to politely dissuade her from following him, but Megumin threw a tantrum like she used to with Kazuma.
This drew negative attention in the inn.
To avoid making the situation worse, he decided to bring her along.
However, Megumin's noise attracted the other members of the group and Kazuma.
This led to this situation.
"...Are you sure?" asked the receptionist in a doubtful tone, after reading the quest information.
This receptionist wasn't Luna, but a brown-haired, blue-eyed woman in her late teens.
[Quest name: capture or elimination of Snow Sprites]
[Description: eliminating these creatures would accelerate the arrival of spring.]
[Reward: 100,000 Eris per Snow Sprite eliminated]
[Special reward: 200 million for eliminating the Winter Shogun]
"Absolutely, I have complete confidence in my abilities," declared the fake Sanguinius, in a confident tone.
The receptionist hesitated slightly, but after observing Kazuma and his group next to Sanguinius.
She worked quickly and hastily, to rid her counter of the troublesome group.
"Now, we can go and don't forget..."
He wanted to make things clear once again, but was interrupted by Aqua.
"Yes, yes, we already know that you'll keep the money from the Shogun and that we can take the rest."
Though slightly annoyed by this interruption, he nodded at Aqua's statement.
'It would be a waste of time to reprimand her, as she wouldn't even understand the reasons behind the reprimand.'
After Sanguinius and Kazuma's group left, a certain blonde receptionist appeared.
Luna didn't catch sight of Sanguinius, as he had already left the premises.
Her morning presence is only due to a light check of the staff and the smooth running of things.
She had no intention of working today, since she had taken the day off and warned the guild staff of her private situation.
"Why the long face?"
As she settled in comfortably after completing her task, Luna noticed the new member of the guild staff, who seemed slightly worried.
"I believe her name is Rose, right?"
Luna doesn't really have a deep relationship with the new one or this "generation" of receptionists.
Almost all of her friends have already retired thanks to their marriages, and her new professional position doesn't allow her to have too familiar a relationship with the other receptionists.
"Miss Luna!"
After adopting a more "polite" position toward her superior, the receptionist Rose began to explain the situation.
"What?! He's going on such a dangerous quest"
'And before our date?!'
At first, she was worried about Sanguinius because the Winter Shogun's reputation is frightening.
But that was short-lived.
She remembered the absurd numbers on his guild card.
"Don't worry about them, they have Sanguinius with them."
The only thing that bothered the current Luna was no longer the safety of her date partner,
but whether he would actually come on time for their "walk" in the city of Axel.
'He didn't take this quest to find an excuse... did he?'
Thus, the primitive fear of remaining single for another year began to sprout again in her heart.
...
"Stop escaping!!!"
"My 100,000 Eris!!!"
"My personal refrigerator!"
While Kazuma's group chased the Snow Sprites,
Sanguinius carefully observed the area.
'The original created me using 1/3 of his strength, but that should be enough for this thing.'
Spirits.
They are immaterial creatures and are similar to mana in this aspect.
This gives them extremely high magical defense and a body without any real form.
'Megumin is literally capable of creating a crater 20 meters in diameter with her Explosion spell.'
If a person doesn't know better, they might think that's not so high on the fiction scale.
That's also not wrong, because even Issei in DxD was accidentally able to do the same or better with his Longinus during his training with Akeno.
Nevertheless, it's not an explosion to be underestimated.
It's powerful enough to destroy a small hill if aimed well, or a military base.
In scientific estimation, it's the equivalent of a 500 kg air bomb!!
Despite this, Megumin claimed not to be able to kill or beat The Winter Shogun in one shot with her magic.
This proves that this spirit has a strong magical resistance.
'There's also the speed element to take into account, this guy goes at minimum the speed of sound, if not more.'
Sanguinius didn't think this without any basis.
Kazuma literally didn't see the attack that took his life a second time.
He just saw The Winter Shogun, who resheathed his katana after his perfect execution of the "Iaido" technique.
In the DxD universe, there are plenty of characters capable of reacting to an attack at the speed of light.
However, there is a huge difference between reacting to an attack going at the speed of light and moving at that speed.
The Winter Shogun is at minimum capable of reacting and moving at the speed of sound.
It's based on this estimation that Sanguinius created his clone and ordered it to execute this quest.
"Quick Kazuma, we need to apologize!!"
Without an ounce of pride befitting a goddess, Aqua prostrated herself before the intimidating spirit in the middle of the winter plain.
'Finally, he's here'
As in the original plot, Kazuma and his companions eliminated a good amount of The Snow Sprites.
Unfortunately, their protector appeared.
The Winter Shogun.

"You're not going to follow Aqua's example?"
Sanguinius cast a curious glance at Megumin and Kazuma without paying attention to Darkness.
"Haha, I am the great Archmage Megumin!! As a member of the powerful crimson demon clan, it is my duty to face this thing that emerged from the depths of winter!!!"
Despite her bold words, her short loli legs were more honest.
Trembling.
"As Megumin has already mentioned, we can't yield to this creature!! I as a 'Crusader' cannot tolerate the existence of this thing!!"
Sanguinius didn't pay real attention to the words of the perverted masochist with the sinful body, which led him to direct his attention to Kazuma... of course he cast one last glance at that well-trained figure before questioning the Japanese.
"I started a stream..."
Kazuma's response literally made Sanguinius's clone's brain bug out.
[The Red Empress: ...pervert]
For the first time in his existence, Sanguinius was caught during a scientific observation of human anatomy.
