Earth's Alpha Prime-393. Clash of FRAMES
CHAPTER 393: Clash of FRAMES
Before long, the blazing avian mount of the Vulkran Clan slowed its wings, trails of ember fading behind it as it approached a massive turtle whose shell gleamed with crystalline patterns of blue and gold.
On the turtle’s back stood five youths and an Elder from Concord Pavillion, a calm woman draped in layered teal robes. Her pale blue eyes, and the look in her eyes gave the impression that she saw more than she let on.
Elder Vaikros greeted her with a respectful nod.
“Elder Sia, still as beautiful as ever, I see.”
Sia’s lips curved faintly, already aware of why Vaikros had approached her.
Vaikros chuckled, folding his arms. “We both know cooperation benefits everyone. The Bloodline Realm won’t be kind to those who act alone. My clan can handle protection, while your Pavilion provides information, something your people excel at..”
Sia tilted her head slightly. “I’m afraid you’re a bit late, Elder Vaikros. Our Pavilion has already formed a temporary alliance with the Thunder Roc Clan and the Martial Zenith Sect. I’m afraid they wouldn’t appreciate additional members sharing in the opportunities.”
“Thunder Roc Clan?...” Vaikros frowned at the name. Of all the Hegemonies, that was the one his clan clashed with the most.
Before his displeasure could grow, she raised a hand delicately, “This alliance is only temporary. Don’t drag us into your feud with them, Elder Vaikros. The Pavilion remains neutral, as always.”
Vaikros stayed silent for a moment before asking, “Who else has teamed up?”
A calm smile touched her lips. “The Sword Saint Sect and the Obsidian Giant Clan. The rest are on their own. Perhaps you could try asking the Hex Reptilia Clan.”
Vaikros exhaled sharply, irritation flickering across his face. “Them? No thanks. Trusting them would be the same as stabbing myself in the back. After what they pulled on the Obsidian Giants during the last Hidden Realm expedition, no one in their right mind would team up with them.”
Just then, the Arcane Elves arrived, their massive whale-serpent mount slowing as it took position farther away, keeping a respectful distance from the others.
Sia turned her gaze toward them. “Maybe you can try pairing up with the Arcane Elves instead.”
Vaikros let out a short scoff. “Hmph. They refused my offer earlier. Seems they still believe they’re the same mighty hegemony they were a million years ago.”
Sia’s gaze lingered on the Arcane Elves, her tone thoughtful as she murmured, “Strange… they’re not even trying to form alliances. Did they give up on this expedition, or are they confident enough to explore on their own?”
While she was lost in thought, tension began to brew between two of the strongest among the ten Hegemonies, the Lumen Crest Clan and the Doom Dragon Clan.
On the dark-scaled Dragon Wyrm’s back stood a young woman with deep brown skin and pitch-black eyes that glowed with sharp white irises. Her long, dark hair streamed behind her like ink flowing through water, and faint scales glimmered subtly along her neck.
Melene, daughter of the Doom Dragon Direct Bloodline, one of her clan’s brightest prodigies.
Her cold gaze was fixed on the massive Golden Lion mount across from them, or, more precisely, on one of the figures standing atop it.
At the forefront, beside the Lumen Crest Clan Elder, stood Lucian, their clan’s brightest prodigy in the last millennium.
With golden-yellow skin, starlight hair cascading over his shoulders, and eyes of pure gold, he stood clad in radiant armor woven with threads of gold and white.
The Doom Dragon Clan’s elder, noticed her stare.
“Melene,” he said in a low tone, “control yourself. This is not the time.”
Her fists clenched at her sides, her nails biting into her palms.
“I can’t just stand here, Elder,” she said, her voice trembling with anger she’d been holding back for far too long. “He crippled my brother, remember?”

The elder’s expression hardened but remained calm. “I remember. But that was a duel during the Millennium Exchange, and your brother refused to yield even after defeat.”
Melene’s glare deepened. “Refused or not, Lucian went too far. He shattered my brother’s Dragon Veins. He hasn’t recovered even after all these years.”
The elder sighed. “I understand your anger, child. But revenge before the Realm opens is reckless. Remember, you are the pride of our bloodline. Give it time, your strength will grow, and when it does, you can face him on equal ground.”
Before he could finish, Lucian’s sharp voice reached them.
“Melene, right?” he called out, his words carried by golden energy, “How’s your brother’s recovery? Still breathing, I hope?”
A faint smirk curved his lips, blatantly mocking her.
The moment the words reached her, Melene’s temper snapped. Her teeth clenched as she took a step forward on the dragon’s back.
“Lucian! You think your Lumen Crest bloodline makes you untouchable? Then let’s settle it right here!”
Doom Dragon Clan Elder immediately stepped forward, his voice stern.
“Enough, Melene!”
But before he could pull her back, the Lumen Crest Clan Elder let out a soft, dismissive chuckle.
“Why stop her? Let the youngsters test their strength, it’ll make the waiting more interesting.”
The Doom Dragon Clan Elder’s jaw tightened. “This isn’t the time for pointless clashes.”
The Lumen Crest Clan Elder’s smile remained calm, yet his tone carried a sharp edge. “Pointless? Hardly. If your disciple can’t control her temper, perhaps the Doom Dragon bloodline truly has lost its way. We don’t mind teaching her a lesson, just like we did with her brother.”
That was all it took. Thick black energy began leaking from Melene’s body, coiling around her like living smoke before solidifying into form.
The black mist rippled and hardened into angular lines running across her limbs and chest, forming a shifting, ghostly full-body armor that looked alive.
Her pitch-dark eyes intensified, and the white in her irises glowing sharply like twin stars.
From the energy armor, a black mist tinged with shades of grey began to spread, shrouding everything around her. The space it covered seemed to distort, and even the surrounding light dimmed as if being absorbed into the mist.
Seeing this, gasps erupted from the nearby Hegemonies.
“That’s a FRAME FIELD...!”
“Is that the Doom Dragon Clan’s signature DOOM FRAME?”
“I heard it’s a Diamond-class Frame, just below the Crown-class! She already has one at her age?”
“Wait, does that mean the Doom Dragon Clan has already chosen her as their heir and even helped her synthesize a Frame ahead of time?”
…
…
…
As the DOOM FIELD was about to envelop Lucian, he only smirked, and extended his hand.
“Do you think you’re the only one with a Frame?” he said lazily.
Golden light burst from his chest, spreading through his entire body. A blend of white and gold energy swirled around him, condensing into an ethereal full-body armor that radiated holy brilliance, clashing against the darkness that threatened to engulf him.
Their crash produced a shockwave that tore through the surrounding space. The border where they met twisted violently, fracturing light into a storm of shards. Ripples of shockwaves expanded outward, shredding fragments of drifting debris into dust.
Spectators shielded their eyes as light and darkness flared even brighter, and whispers quickly spread through the crowd.
“That’s… that’s the LUMEN FRAME…”
“That’s their clan’s sacred Frame… a Diamond-Class Frame!”
“They must have granted the Frame Realm pass to these youths instead of their elders, and even spent considerable resources to synthesize a frame for them. What a waste,” said the Elder of the Martial Zenith Sect.
The Obsidian Giant Clan Elder shook his head, “Wasteful, perhaps… but with that, they’ll hold a clear advantage over their peers in the Bloodline Realm. If it helps them secure rare treasures there, it might just be worth the cost.”
The other elders nodded in agreement. If those youths managed to gather enough treasures inside, it might still turn out to be a worthwhile investment.
The Hex Reptilia Clan remained composed, their Elder remarked inwardly with amusement, ‘Hoho… fortunate that we made similar preparations. Let’s see how their Lumen Frame fares against our upgraded HEXFRAME.’
The two Frame Fields continued to grind against each other, neither side giving an inch.
