Earth's Alpha Prime-392: Arcane Elves
Chapter 392: Arcane Elves
Near the boundaries of the Laniakea Mega Cluster, a colossal creature glided through the meteor fields, its speed so great that the space around it seemed to ripple and warp. Faint drifting lights flickered beside it, bending as the creature passed.
It looked like a cross between a serpent and a whale, its vast body lined with glowing violet veins that pulsed softly. The creature was so large it made even the biggest asteroids look small.
Upon its back stood five figures, their silhouettes sharp against the distant glow of a nearby star.
They were members of one of the ten great Hegemonies of the Universe, the Arcane Elf Clan, whose territory spanned the Laniakea Mega Cluster along with thirty others.
Their dark crystalline skin faintly glinting with countless pale dots like stars scattered across the night sky. Each had long grey hair that drifted weightlessly in the vacuum. Every one of them stood nearly three meters tall.
Four were young, each less than a century old, yet even the weakest among them had already reached Tier-6 Mid-Phase.
At the front stood the fifth, exuding an overwhelming pressure that made the very space around him hum. His long grey hair and beard drifted like smoke, and his flamboyant white robes enhanced the commanding presence he carried.
He was their escort; a Tier-10 powerhouse, the 3rd Elder of the Arcane Elf Clan, tasked with protecting the younger generation on their journey to the Bloodline Realm.
The younger elves spoke among themselves, gazing at the distant blood-red radiance flickering across the vast expanse, the sealed gateway to the Bloodline Realm.
“The Bloodline Realm…”, one murmured in awe.
“I heard each Hidden Realm holds a world of its own… this should be no different.”
“Yeah, but more importantly, they say it contains extinct bloodlines.”
“And if we’re lucky, we might even find the lost bloodline of our ancestors, the Chaos Elf Bloodline. If we do, our clan will rise to new heights and no longer stand at the bottom among the great Hegemons.”
Their eyes gleamed with ambition and curiosity. The Bloodline Realm opening was an incredibly rare opportunity, and this being the first ever exploration, the rewards awaiting within would be greater than anything before.
Yet, beneath their excitement lingered a quiet tension. None of them truly knew what awaited inside.
Among them, one remained silent. The strongest of the Arcane Elves’ younger generation, Ryker, stood near the front of the creature’s head, his gaze fixed on the sealed gateway ahead.
He didn’t join their chatter. His expression was calm but heavy, thoughts running deeper than the others could guess.
Then, without moving his lips, he sent a private telepathic message, one that reached only the mind of the elder.
‘Third Elder… if I carry out what the Clan Head commanded, the Sentinels will surely hunt us. Once they learn of it, there will be nowhere in the universe we can hide.’
For a long moment, the elder said nothing. The vast creature beneath them let out a low hum as it passed through a stream of stardust.
When the reply came, it was grave and heavy.
‘We no longer have a choice. If you do not act, our clan will face extermination. Even the Sentinels cannot protect us now. Our survival depends on you.’
Ryker’s jaw tightened.
‘I understand… ,’ he said, though the words left a bitter heaviness in his chest.
He knew what he had been asked to do, and how many would die because of it.
Meanwhile, the younger members continued their lighthearted talk, unaware of the storm brewing in their Senior Brother’s heart.
Suddenly, the space around them rippled, and from the left, another colossal presence emerged.
A monstrous avian beast soared across the field of drifting debris. Its wings stretched wider than city skylines, feathered in burning orange flame. The creature’s body radiated intense heat, yet its movements were graceful, the fire trailing behind it like threads of silk.
Unlawfully taken from novelbuddy, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Riding upon its back were seven figures of the Vulkran Clan, six young warriors and one elder
At the front stood their elder, nearly two meters tall with reddish skin and faint orange veins glowing like magma beneath the surface.
His fiery red hair flowed behind him, and his sharp, molten eyes radiated authority. With a single hand gesture, he guided the blazing beast to turn smoothly through the air until it flew parallel to the Arcane Elves’ beast convoy.
“Elder Rynar,” the Vulkran elder called out, his deep voice resonating across the emptiness, carried by streams of Energy. “It has been ten thousand years since our last meeting. How’s your Clan Leader faring? I heard his years are catching up to him. If there’s anything our Vulkran Clan can do to help, feel free to ask.”
The Arcane Elven elder, Rynar, lifted his gaze to meet the other’s and inwardly scoffed.
‘Hmph… hypocrites. In exchange for their half-baked help, they’ll demand control over this Mega Cluster now that the Bloodline Realm is opening. When our clans stood as equals, they were the first to seek alliance. But now that we’ve fallen to the bottom, those ties mean nothing to them.’
Of course, he didn’t say it aloud. Their clan was in no position to offend any other Hegemony.
Keeping his tone calm and polite, he replied, “Our Clan Leader is doing well, Elder Vaikros. We appreciate the offer, but there’s no need for assistance.”
Vaikros smirked faintly, the fiery glow of his eyes flickering with concealed disdain. Yet he didn’t press the matter.
“Then perhabs our clans’ youngsters could work together once inside the Bloodline Realm, to honor our long-standing alliance. What do you say?”
Rynar’s tone stayed composed. “Given the temperament of the younger generation, I doubt they would be willing to share when faced with a promising opportunity or treasure. Such an alliance might cause more friction than benefit. I trust Elder Vaikros understands.”
The Vulkran elder’s expression hardened at being refused so directly. He offered no further courtesy.
“Since that’s the case, there’s nothing more to discuss. I’ll meet with the others, perhaps they’ll be wise enough to consider cooperation.”
With that, the Vulkran elder gestured, and their enormous mount flapped its blazing wings. The fiery beast glided ahead, leaving a trail of embers as it sped toward the Bloodline Realm’s entrance.
As the flaming avian beast glided closer, Elder Vaikros turned slightly, his low deep voice reaching them.
“Remember this well, all of you. The Bloodline Realm, as its name suggests, holds treasures and opportunities to strengthen your bloodline. Make the best use of them. The clan will reward contribution points for whatever you bring back. The rarer the find, the greater your reward...”
The younger Vulkrans listened intently as their elder’s molten eyes swept across them, each word carrying the weight of command.
“But that’s not all,” Vaikros continued, “There is another purpose to this expedition. You are to locate the Omega Chosen, Olivia. If any of you succeed in recruiting her into our clan, you will be granted access to the Clan’s Treasure Vault, permitted to claim one artifact of your choice… and may request anything within the clan’s means. Be it rank, a boon, or knowledge reserved for the direct bloodline.”
A wave of excitement flashed through the group. Flames flickered faintly across their bodies as their breaths quickened.
The promise of such a reward set their hearts ablaze. Murmurs erupted almost immediately.
“An artifact from the Treasure Vault… that’s no small prize.”
“To think the Clan Leader would allow a request of any kind. That’s unprecedented.”
“Recruiting the Omega Chosen? Finding her in a place that vast will be like searching for a spark in a storm… Still, if someone can pull it off, it’s Junior Sister Anya.”
The others turned toward the woman standing near the beast’s neck. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
She stood tall and composed, her beautifully long hair flowing like strands of fiery red silk, the tips glowing faintly like embers. Her skin carried a soft reddish hue, and her sharp features, paired with her steady gaze, gave her an air of calm aloofness.
Unlike the others, she hadn’t reacted to the elder’s words with noise or thrill. Her expression remained calm, eyes narrowed slightly as if committing every detail to memory.
A younger female looked at her with admiration and said, “Sister Anya’s the youngest among us, and yet she’s already at peak Tier-7, stronger than any of us. If she can’t do it, none of us can.”
Anya didn’t respond. Her gaze remained fixed ahead as a single thought echoed in her mind: ‘I need to find her at any cost.’
The resolve in her eyes outweighed all their excitement combined. Even Elder Vaikros glanced her way for a moment, already understanding her motivation and why she would try the hardest to find Olivia. He gave a small nod of approval before turning his attention forward again.
Moments later, the fiery mount began to slow. Ahead, the field of drifting debris parted to reveal a vast clearing in space, the entrance to the Bloodline Realm.
A massive portal of blood-red radiance suspended amidst hundreds of glowing pillars arranged in a spiraling formation. All around, powerful beasts from the eight other great Hegemonies floated in silence, awaiting the moment the seal over the Bloodline Realm would be lifted.
