Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy-Chapter 2512: The Final 8
Alex struggled with the Fire and Water pill way more than he thought he would. He had figured out what he was going to do for the most part, but doing it turned out to be a lot more difficult than he expected, especially because he was making this sort of pill for the first time.
Still, he continued going through all possibilities to the best of his abilities and finally managed to land on a decent final idea.
The way he found in the end was to use Frostfire Sap as the core of the recipe and the two major ingredients as its handles. Then everything else would attach to that handle, keeping the balance in the final result.
And the way Alex did it, it formed quite the pill too.
The pill Alex would end up making through this recipe was one that would make a person completely immune to all Fire and Water elements below a certain level of strength.
At its best, anyone below the Divine realm would be unable to defeat that person if Fire and Water elemental attacks were all they had. It was also great for locations where Fire and Water aura was heavy, like some frozen land or volcanic areas.
After coming across the final combination, it was time to form the actual recipe. However, before Alex got to that, the Round of 32 had come to an end.
The Divinity entered the space, so Alex had to stop what he was doing and wait for the round to be over. To Alex’s surprise, the number 100% flashed next to his name. At the same time, the same number flashed next to his opponent’s name as well.
"I’m afraid both you and your opponent have made a pill of the same grade. As a result, we must ask that you make it again. Please start immediately." Find exclusive stories on novelbuddy
Alex wasn’t very surprised to see his opponent do well. Eightsnow had done the same last time around as well, so he had been half-expecting to make the pill again.
Still, to have to do it again, Alex couldn’t help but sigh. He brought out Memory and began making his Sound pill once again.
Alex could tell as he started that he needed some rest. Whatever rest he had taken before hadn’t helped him at all, and if he continued to do this, it would do him more harm than good.
’I should eat a pill when this becomes a problem,’ Alex thought. For now, he was fine, but he would have to eat that pill before the next round. His next opponent demanded that he did.
Alex easily completed the pill, calling on the pill clouds again. He went through four pill clouds and stopped afterward. He pulled the pill with four pill veins on it and handed it over to the Divinity before him.
While the Divinity took his pill, he looked past the man and at his opponent’s name. Eightsnow still hadn’t completed the pill, so his numbers weren’t there just yet. Alex couldn’t help but wonder if the man had done it a second time.
Thankfully, the number 98% appeared next to him a second later.
Alex sighed in relief when he saw that number. It meant he didn’t have to keep making that pill again and again. He could move on to completing the pill recipe now.
"Congratulations, you have moved on to the Quarterfinals," the man said, and only then did it sink into Alex just how deep they were into the competition.
It was Quarterfinals next, then Semi-finals after that. And then, before he knew it, it would be finals.
There were only three more pills to make now. He needed to focus even more. After he completed this recipe, there would only be two more left.
Alex ate a pill to regain his spiritual energy and freshen his mind. Once he felt his mind jog awake, he got back to completing the pill.

There were now eight people remaining on the stage. Compared to the initial 102, these many alchemists almost made the stage look empty.
The alchemists’ locations on the stage had been moved without their awareness. They were now sitting much closer than they previously were, all gathered together for the audience to watch them all at once.
They were separated into four groups, two in each group who were up against each other.
In Group 1, Dusklily was up against Treegold. They were both incredible alchemists who had been high in the rankings throughout the competition, so their battle was very much anticipated.
In Group 2, Alex went head-on against Palesilver. The knowledge that both of these alchemists had trained under one of the Ten Stars of Alchemy made it an interesting battle that everyone in the audience wanted to keep watching.
In Group 3, Leafheart went up against Faithseeker. One was the disciple of Pinklily, and the other was the disciple of a Reverend underneath the Alchemy God. Their clash had been anticipated for a long time too.
In Group 4, Aethersage competed with Jadetongue. Jadetongue had been in the middle of the rankings throughout the competition, and no one had expected much from her. However, to everyone’s surprise, she had made it up to the Top 8 and was going to fight tooth and nail to get to the Top 4.
Out of all the participants remaining, she alone was considered the dark horse for reaching as far as she had, especially after she brought out the pill clouds during the last round.
The Alchemy God spoke a lot about all of these alchemists in his announcement, making the audience even more excited as they waited for each of their matches.
The round had only just begun, so there was easily way more than a day for it to come to an end. Now was the prime time to start betting on things.
Bets were held all over the stadium, and many participated in small amounts. However, the more alchemists that were disqualified, the more people began betting. Now, they were certain they knew where the competition was going.
As a result, the most bet-upon topic was easily who was going to win the overall competition.
Alex, Faithseeker, Aethersage, and Leafheart were the primary considerations to win it all, while Dusklily, Treegold, and Palesilver were slightly less favored.
Very few bet on Jadetongue, and even those that did only did so just in case she won it all. They were more or less certain Jadetongue would make it nowhere.
Silvermist stood up from his seat. "I’m going to go bet on Alex," he said.

Grimsight turned to look at him. "You want to bet?" he asked.
"Of course, he’s going to win it all after all," Silvermist said.
"Sure… but you don’t need the money, do you?" Grimsight asked.
"It’s not about the money," Silvermist said. "I just need everyone to know that he’s going to win."
Grimsight had nothing to say. Since the man was stubborn, he let him be.
Silvermist walked up to the betting house situated at the top of the stadium and shouted, "Three thousand Divine Spirit stones on my disciple, Dawnblade."
At the same time, someone else spoke. "Four thousand Divine Spirit stones on my disciple, Aethersage."
Silvermist turned and was immediately angered when he realized that Wineweed too had decided to bet on his disciple just like him.
