Everyone Knows I’m a Good Person-Chapter 116
Chapter 116
Editor: Sahloknir
Actually, Shi Qing wasn’t as content and happy as Cheng Yunling had enviously imagined.
Tan Mingjin was very nice to him, treating him like a precious treasure everyday. However…
Now that he was the man’s lover, Tan Mingjin no longer stopped him from playing games. He would even take the time to learn how to play so that Shi Qing could always have someone to keep him company.
When Shi Qing whined and said he didn’t want to go to work, Tan Mingjin would indulgently let him stay home.
The man even agreed without blinking when Shi Qing asked him to stay home as well. He had his office moved into his house.
The assistant who knew what happened now looked at Shi Qing like he was a nine tailed fox that had seduced the king.
This was President Tan we’re talking about!
President Tan, aka the overtime fiend, a workaholic that goes to the company come rain or shine!!
It was truly unbelievable that he started to work from home just because this Young Master Shi asked him to.
Surely even Daji couldn’t achieve that.
Of course, even if he felt like the sky had fallen down, the assistant maintained his professional exterior.
“President Tan, Young Master Shi really is something. Playing games is indeed a good way to relax. Here are all the strategy guides I’ve found for you.”
“Young Master Shi is right not to go to work. If he really is to inherit the company like you want him to, there’s not much for him to learn as an ordinary intern. It’s better for you to personally instruct him at home.”
“Working at home? What a great idea. Young Master Shi must’ve been worried for your health. Actually, I’ve wanted to say something too. President Tan, you really work too much. Rest is also important.”
In return for his shameless bootlicking, his bonus got bigger and bigger each month.
As he watched his wealth gradually grow, the assistant couldn’t help but sigh. No wonder there were so many people who got to the top by kissing ass throughout the ages.
It’s an easy road to the top.
Of course, his bonus increasing so smoothly was also thanks to Tan Mingjin’s unwavering (blind) faith in Shi Qing.
In his eyes, Shi Qing could do no wrong.
Ever since they got together, the little guy acted like he was scared Tan Mingjin would run off. He nervously stayed by the man’s side everyday.
When eating, Shi Qing’s hand had to be on his thigh.
When he was at work, Shi Qing would rest his head on the man’s thigh.
Even when sleeping, Shi Qing was practically glued to him, wanting to be held tightly.
How could Tan Mingjin not spend more quality time with such a lovable little guy?
However, Shi Qing had been feeling more and more dissatisfied lately.
He felt that things weren’t quite right.
He and Tan Mingjin had already gotten their license, but the two of them had not taken the most important step yet.
What ‘papapa’? There wasn’t even ‘pa’ yet.
This wouldn’t do!!
He suspected Tan Mingjin was too used to playing the role of an uncle.
Even though they had already gotten a license…
Even though Shi Qing acted coquettishly when in his lap…
Even though Shi Qing was practically glued to him at night!
Tan Mingjin actually didn’t do anything yet!!
Shi Qing had a stomach filled with grievances, but the OOC restriction prevented him from just pushing this guy down. He could only renew his efforts to drop subtle hints.
And yet!
Tan Mingjin actually managed to remain unmoved every single time.
Every. Single. Time!!!
The System saw the Host’s emotions brewing like a storm, so it cautiously suggested: [Host, should we do it the old fashioned way–with drugs?]
It vaguely remembered that they used those in a previous world.
Shi Qing: [No.]
Shi Qing: [I refuse to believe he can really ignore me forever!]
That afternoon, while Tan Mingjin was working in his study, the youth followed him over with his little quilt wrapped around him.
These days, because Shi Qing insisted on following him around, the man had gotten used to working on his laptop on the sofa.
As soon as Shi Qing came over, he rested his head on Tan Mingjin’s lap like always. His soft hair brushed against the man with every movement.
Tan Mingjin stroked his head and said softly, “Be good. It’s not comfortable to sleep here. Why don’t you go to bed?”
Shi Qing whined softly, “I want Uncle to go to bed with me.”
Tan Mingjin’s leg shifted uncomfortably as he typed on the keyboard. He coughed dryly, “Okay, Uncle will sleep with you.”
The youth got what he wanted, so he dropped the coquettish act. He skipped off to the bed in the study and patted the pillow impatiently.
“Come on, Uncle! Hurry up!”
The man swallowed dryly. He felt like his entire body was a bit dry.
He stepped forward and carefully sat on the edge of the bed, then watched as Shi Qing skillfully rolled into a corner of the bed. The young master didn’t forget to use his thin and fair fingers to tug at the edge of his shirt, beckoning Tan Mingjin to come join him.
Tan Mingjin’s eyes darkened. His heart was racing as he followed him onto the bed.
Shi Qing laid down in his arms.
He cried out petulantly, “Uncle, I’m so hungry…”
Tan Mingjin was taken aback. He hoarsely said, “I’ll make some ‘noodles’ for you to eat.”
Shi Qing: [Crap!! Something so stimulating?! Has he evolved?!]
He quickly nodded and looked at Tan Mingjin with watery eyes. “Yes, yes, yes!”
The man suddenly sat up and got out of the bed.
Shi Qing: “Uncle? Where are you going?”
Tan Mingjin thought about what other ingredients were in the kitchen as he replied, “I’m going to the kitchen…”
“To make some noodles for you to eat.”
