Salden practically froze as he watched Vorpax gaze defiantly at Chrono Nexus and Ark. For someone with a mind as sharp as his, this was the first time he wasn't entirely sure how to handle a situation.

"I should have accounted for this as well," he mused, wearing a tense expression and gritting his teeth. "Vorpax's spontaneous personality could get us both killed if I don't take control of the situation."

"But how do I do that?"

"Both of the beings standing before us have auras that rival Mother and Father combined. Is it really possible for beings that powerful to exist?"

Chrono Nexus and Ark simply gazed at them. They both knew very well who they were, yet they were at a loss for words.

Ark let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly as his thoughts raced.

"My mission here is to protect the vessel and prevent the advancement of the †Rulers†. Even with Mother's help, it will still be a daunting task. I can't get any more on my plate." He mused, narrowing his gaze as he looked at Vorpax and Salden. The demon princes or their objective to invade the elven lands were besides his mission.

He turned and continued on his way, raising his hands and placing them behind his head as he said, "Let's go, Mother. They are not worth the effort."

His words made Vorpax grit his teeth in anger. He was about to yell, but Chrono Nexus cut him off.

"True," Chrono Nexus replied. She then added, "But if we leave them be, they are certain to keep disturbing us later."

Salden tensed up at her statement as Chrono Nexus shifted her gaze to him and then to Vorpax. "Especially this one."

"What is she talking about? Does she know us? Are they really here to mess up our plans?" Salden's thoughts raced, beads of sweat streaming down his face as he simply stood, saying nothing.

A vein throbbed on Vorpax's forehead as he became increasingly irritated. "I asked a question. Are both of you going to stand in the way of our miss—"

Before he could finish his statement, Chrono Nexus lifted her left hand and struck his forehead with an intense finger flick.

The force of the flick was so strong that Vorpax was instantly knocked off his feet, sent flying a few feet backward before landing on the floor unconscious.

Salden's eyes followed his movement, his jaw dropping in shock. "So much force from just a flick of her finger, and Vorpax's physical strength nearly rivals that of Alzureth's. Punches shouldn't be capable of making him lose his footing and fall unconscious like that, not to mention being done in by a single finger. So if I were to calculate the strength she must have released in that short burst with a single finger flick, that was—"

"Child, it would be best if you do not overthink it. Take your brother and go back to the rest of your siblings," Chrono Nexus cut off his train of thought. She gazed at him intensely, the cosmos in her deep eyes looking like they could suck him in at any moment.

"U-understood, ma'am," Salden stuttered as he proceeded to walk over to Vorpax to pick him up. Vorpax's forehead now swollen with a small bump.

Salden proceed to hoist Vorpax's arm over his shoulders, as he carried him away, Salden couldn't help but momentarily glances back at Chrono Nexus and Ark

"Who are they?" He wondered, as both of their figures faded into the distance.

Witnessing the whole scene unfold, Ark had a pale expression on his face. He stood there frozen as he gazed in horror.

Chrono Nexus action just a moment ago brought back memories of his childhood when he was the one getting forehead flicks like that.

Chrono Nexus turned around and noticed the expression he had on his face, prompting her to ask.

"What's wrong?"

Ark fidgeted as he then replied, "N-nothing." as he rubbed his hand at the back of his head, letting out a nervous laugh.

Chrono Nexus narrowed her gaze, not completely believing what he said, but she decided to dismiss it anyway.

"Alright, let's go," she said, taking the lead and walking ahead of him. Ark slowly turned around, his steps a bit more cautious as I followed closely behind her.

Meanwhile, as Salden pulled along Vorpax's unconscious body as he walked down the elven streets filled with activity, he couldn't help but smile.

"Things went a lot more smoothly than I expected," he thought. In actuality, all that's happened was already predetermined by him. The way that he thought and acted were all an act.

"Seems my suspicions were right."

"She is aware of all that happens in existence, yes, but her †Authority† does not fully work on us due to father's nature."

Salden was referring to the fact that Delikan was, in a sense, a copy of Akun. Both of them were unknown entities with characteristics that could not be fully determined or explained. This trait was deeply rooted in their very souls and bodies, and they would pass these characteristics down to their children.

Although they were a combination of the predictable and the unpredictable, they were partly predictable. In simple terms, Demon King Delikan is completely unpredictable, while the Goddess of Destruction, Danlatica, is entirely predictable. Therefore, half of the traits and actions taken by their children could be either predictable or unpredictable. Stay updated via novelbuddy

And that is what Salden wanted to confirm, if the goddess of time and knowledge herself could predict what he would be doing next. But what could he possibly want to do that would make him want to find out if she could?

How did he come to know of the peculiarities of his father's existence or the fact that the goddess of time was Evendell? Certainly, one could tell it was not all due to his †Authority† †Absolute Deduction†, or was it?

But one thing was for certain: celestial forces were moving their pieces across a massive cosmic chessboard, and it seemed Salden was aware. And now, he wanted to participate in the games as well.
