Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 111 -
Fu Li helped Bai Ming into the inner room, guiding her carefully as if she might fall apart if left alone.
"Sit here first," Fu Li said as she pushed the door open.
Bai Ming nodded and sat down slowly.
Fu Li moved quickly, bringing water and a clean cloth.
"You should clean yourself first," she said. "Your clothes... we will find something else for you."
Bai Ming glanced down at herself, then nodded again.
"...Alright."
Fu Li did not leave immediately.
She stayed for a moment, looking at her as if she wanted to say more, then finally turned and stepped out, closing the door behind her.
I watched them briefly before shifting my attention.
Master Fu was already seated nearby, his injured leg stretched out.
"Come," he said.
I walked over and sat down beside him.
"Let me see," I said.
I gently removed the cloth wrapped around his leg and examined the wound carefully.
It had improved.
The swelling had reduced, and the color of the skin had started returning to normal.
A small smile formed on my lips.
"It is healing well," I said.
Master Fu looked relieved.
"Is that so?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied. "At this rate, in a week or two, you will be fully healed."
His eyes brightened slightly.
"Really?"
I nodded.
"But you cannot stay still," I added. "You need to start walking more, slowly, and with support."
He nodded immediately.
"I will do that," he said.
I began to wrap the cloth around his leg again, securing it properly.
Beside us, Fu Sheng had already sat down.
He watched quietly.
When I finished, I leaned back slightly.
Master Fu looked at both of us.
"You two went out early today," he said. "Where did you go?"
I glanced at Fu Sheng briefly.
Then I answered.
"We went to look for land," I said.
Master Fu nodded.
"And?"
"We bought one," I continued.
His brows lifted slightly.
"So quickly?"
"There is no time to delay," I replied.
Fu Sheng added,
"The land is large, and there is a small river nearby."
Master Fu’s expression became more serious.
"That is good," he said. "Water is important."
I nodded.
"It is not perfect," I said. "The soil is uneven, and there are weeds, but it can be improved."
Fu Sheng continued calmly,
"It will take work. We will need tools, seeds, and people."
Master Fu looked at him.
"Do you have all that?" he asked.
"Not yet," Fu Sheng replied.
I spoke again,
"We have already found people."
Master Fu turned to me.
"Who?"
"There is a family in Unit 48," I said. "They have several sons who are willing to work."
He listened carefully.
"Are they reliable?" he asked.
"They need this opportunity," I replied. "That is enough for now."
Fu Sheng added,
"They agreed to start tomorrow."
Master Fu nodded slowly.
"That is good," he said.
There was a brief pause.
Then he looked at us again.
"Farming is not easy," he said. "Especially in a place like this."
"I know," I replied.
"But if we start early," I continued, "we will have an advantage before things get worse."
Fu Sheng glanced at me.
"She has already planned it," he said.
Master Fu looked at me.
"You are very confident," he said.
I smiled slightly.
"I have to be," I replied.
He let out a small breath.
"Then I will trust you," he said.
I nodded once.
"That is enough."
Just as the courtyard settled into a quiet rhythm, the sound of wheels rolling over the ground broke through the calm.
The sharp, steady noise of a carriage coming to a stop reached us clearly.
I lifted my head.
Fu Sheng turned slightly.
"That should be him," he said.
From the side, Fu Tong stood up immediately.
"He is back already?" he asked.
No one answered him directly.
We all heard it.
The horse snorted softly outside, followed by the faint creak of wood as the carriage came to a full stop in front of the gate.
A moment later—
Footsteps.
The gate opened.
Fu Teng stepped in first.
His posture was straight as usual, his expression calm, but there was something different in his eyes, something more focused than before.
Behind him, An Yu followed at a slower pace, his presence steady and composed as always.
For a brief moment, the courtyard went quiet again.
Everyone’s attention shifted toward them.
"Second brother, you are back," Fu Li said as she walked forward.
Fu Teng nodded slightly.
"Yes."
His gaze moved briefly across everyone before settling naturally.
"You came back early," Master Fu said.
Fu Teng stepped closer.
"There was no need to stay longer," he replied.
His tone was simple, but it carried weight.
An Yu stood a step behind him and gave a polite nod.
"I hope I did not disturb anything," he said.
Madame Fu shook her head immediately.
"You did not," she replied. "You even brought him back safely."
An Yu smiled faintly.
"That is nothing."
Fu Sheng stood up then and walked forward.
"You came yourself," he said.
An Yu nodded.
"There were things to explain," he replied.
Fu Sheng glanced at Fu Teng briefly.
"And?" he asked.
Fu Teng answered calmly,
"I will start working with him."
The words were clear.
No hesitation.
Fu Tong blinked slightly.
"That fast?" he asked.
Fu Teng looked at him.
"There is no reason to delay," he said.
I watched quietly.
An Yu’s gaze shifted toward me for a moment before he spoke again.
"The work will begin tomorrow," he said. "He will need to leave early."
Fu Sheng nodded.
"That is fine."
Master Fu looked at Fu Teng.
"Can you handle it?" he asked.
Fu Teng met his gaze.
"Yes."
There was no doubt in his voice.
Master Fu gave a small nod.
"Good."
From the side, Fu Li smiled slightly.
"At least now you will not stay idle," she said.
Fu Teng did not respond to that, but there was a faint softness in his expression.
An Yu stepped back slightly.
"Then I will take my leave," he said.
Madame Fu spoke immediately,
"Stay for a meal before you go."
An Yu shook his head lightly.
"There is still work waiting," he replied.
He turned slightly, but before leaving, his eyes paused on Fu Teng for a brief second.
"Be ready tomorrow," he said.
Fu Teng nodded.
"I will."
With that, An Yu turned and walked out.
The sound of his steps faded, followed by the soft movement of the carriage leaving.
Silence returned once again.
But it did not feel the same.
Fu Tong crossed his arms.
"So now everyone is busy," he muttered.
Fu Li glanced at him.
"You should also find something to do," she said.
He clicked his tongue.
"I will," he replied.
I looked at Fu Teng.
"You decided quickly," I said.
He met my gaze.
"I thought about it," he replied.
I nodded once.
"That is good."
Fu Sheng stepped beside me.
"We also start tomorrow," he said.
Fu Teng glanced between us.
"With the land?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied.
There was a brief pause.
"Then we will all be busy," he said.
I almost smiled.
"Yes."
Then Fu Li’s voice aaa heard, "it looks like we three are the only ones remaining without something handy to do."
