Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 67 -
The whispers had not died down since Han Fuji said his name.
People kept staring at him like he was some strange creature that had suddenly appeared in the middle of the road.
Fu Fong’s face looked terrible.
"You think a few clever words can scare me?" he sneered. "Those children are Fu blood. They belong to the Fu family."
Before Han Fuji could reply, an old voice suddenly spoke.
"That is enough."
Everyone turned.
Grandfather Fu slowly stepped forward, leaning on his cane. His expression was serious as he looked straight at Fu Fong.
"Have you embarrassed this family enough?" he asked coldly.
Fu Fong stiffened.
"Grandfather... this is between me and her."
Grandfather Fu’s cane hit the ground once.
"A man who raises his hand against his wife in public has no right to talk about dignity."
A ripple of murmurs passed through the crowd
Fu Fong’s face turned red with anger
"If there is a divorce," Grandfather Fu continued firmly, "the children should stay with Bai Ming."
The moment he said that—
Grandma Fu suddenly stepped forward.
"What nonsense are you saying?!"
Everyone froze.
Grandfather Fu frowned. "What did you say?"
Grandma Fu glared at him angrily.
"Those children carry the Fu name," she snapped. "How can they leave the Fu family?"
She pointed at Bai Ming with clear dislike.
"If she wants to leave, then fine! Let her go!"
"But the children must stay!"
The crowd immediately started whispering again.
"Even the heads of the household have terrible relationship, no wonder all these is going on... what a dramatic family."
"Indeed.. I wonder what they are going to do about the wife and her children now.."
Grandfather Fu’s face darkened.
"Old woman, think before you speak.. in all our years of marriage I have never laid mg hands on you despite you ruthless behavior. Try to think clearly for once."
But Grandma Fu refused to back down.
"I am thinking clearly!" she shot back. "If the children leave with her, what will people say about our family?"
"They will say the Fu family couldn’t even keep its own blood!"
Grandfather Fu’s voice turned sharp.
"And what will people say about a Fu man who beats his wife in public?"
Grandma Fu paused for a second.
But she quickly regained her composure.
"That is their matter as husband and wife!" she argued.
"But blood is blood!"
She crossed her arms stubbornly.
"The children stay with the Fu family."
Grandfather Fu looked at her with clear frustration.
"You care more about reputation than justice."
"And you care too much about showing off your fairness!" she snapped back.
The two old people were now openly arguing in front of everyone.
The crowd looked both shocked and entertained.
Fu Tong leaned closer to Fu Teng and whispered with a grin,
"Even Grandfather and Grandmother joined the fight."
Fu Teng rubbed his forehead.
"This family really has no quiet day."
Meanwhile, the village chief simply stood there smiling, clearly enjoying the drama.
And I...
I had to admit, this situation was becoming even more interesting
Just then—
"Huff... huff..."
The man sent earlier ran back through the crowd.
"I brought them!" he called out.
Everyone turned to look.
In his hands were two scrolls.
One tied with a red ribbon.
The other plain.
He handed them respectfully to the village chief.
"The annulment document... and the marriage document."
The entire yard fell silent again.
The village chief slowly raised both scrolls.
"Well," he said with a chuckle, "it seems everything is ready."
He lifted the plain scroll first.
"The annulment document."
Then he raised the red one.
"And the marriage document."
People leaned forward eagerly.
Fu Fong stared at the scrolls with a dark expression.
Li Manman looked even more nervous.
Meanwhile—
Bai Ming stood quietly.
Her eyes rested on the annulment scroll.
Han Fuji calmly stepped forward and took the two scrolls from the village chief.
He looked at them briefly before raising his eyes.
First at Bai Ming.
Then at Fu Fong.
"These two documents will decide the future of your marriage," he said calmly.
His voice was not loud, but everyone could hear him clearly.
"If both sides agree, the annulment can be written and sealed today."
His eyes rested on Fu Fong for a moment.
"But once it is sealed," he added slowly, "neither of you can take it back."
Fu Fong scoffed loudly.
"Who said I’m afraid of that?"
He turned toward Bai Ming again, his expression turning dark.
"You can leave if you want," he sneered. "But don’t forget what I told you."
"Those children are mine."
"Without them, what are you?"
His words were full of mockery.
My patience finally snapped.
"Oh please," I said loudly.
Everyone turned to look at me.
I crossed my arms and looked at Fu Fong with clear disgust.
"You really have no shame."
Fu Fong glared at me.
"This has nothing to do with you!"
I raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
"You slapped your wife, threatened her, and now you’re using children to scare her."
I shrugged.
"And you still think you look like a great father?"
Some people in the crowd snorted with laughter.
Fu Fong’s face turned red with anger.
"You—!"
But suddenly his expression changed.
A strange smile appeared on his face.
"Oh..."
"Since you care so much about the children..."
He suddenly turned and walked straight toward the two kids.
Fu Qin and Fu Lin.
Bai Ming immediately stiffened.
"Stop right there!" she warned.
But Fu Fong ignored her.
He crouched down in front of the children and forced a smile.
It looked creepy.
"You two love Papa, right?" he said sweetly.
The children looked nervous.
"You wouldn’t want to stay with your useless mother, right?"
His hand suddenly reached out.
Trying to grab them.
Fu Lin immediately burst into tears.
"Papa...!"
But before Fu Fong could touch her—
Fu Qin slapped his hand away.
The boy quickly grabbed his sister’s hand.
"Don’t touch us!"
He pulled Fu Lin and ran straight to Bai Ming.
"We want Mama!" he said loudly.
"I don’t want to stay with you!"
The road went completely silent.
Fu Fong froze.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
"What did you say?"
The boy hid behind Bai Ming, holding his crying sister tightly.
"We want Mama," he repeated.
The words hit Fu Fong like a slap.
His face twisted with rage.
"You little—!"
He suddenly lunged forward.
"Come here!
But before he could grab them—
Someone pushed him hard.
Fu Fong stumbled backward and fell to the ground.
Gasps spread through the crowd.
Fu Sheng stood in front of the children now, his face cold.
"That’s enough."
Fu Fong looked up in shock.
"You dare push me?!"
Fu Sheng’s voice was calm but firm.
"You are scaring them."
I stepped forward too, glaring down at Fu Fong.
"What exactly do you think you’re doing?" I asked coldly.
"You shouldn’t even dare to lay a finger on these children."
Fu Fong looked furious.
But before he could start another fight—
A loud voice suddenly cut through the tension.
"That’s enough!"
Everyone turned.
The head guard had stepped forward.
His expression was serious now.
"Control yourselves," he said coldly.
"This road is not a place for family brawls."
His sharp gaze swept across the Fu family.
"Since it has gone to this..."
His hand rested on the sword at his waist.
"...I will personally settle the matter."
The head guard stepped forward and looked at everyone.
"That’s enough," he said. "This is getting out of control."
Fu Fong stood up angrily. Dust covered his clothes.
"This is my family matter!" he shouted.
The head guard looked at him coldly.
"You are exiles now. If you cause trouble here, I will deal with it."
Fu Fong clenched his fists but said nothing.
The head guard turned to Han Fuji.
"You said you were a Songshi. Tell us clearly. Can the mother keep the children?"
Everyone looked at Han Fuji.
He stood calmly with the two scrolls in his hands.
"Yes," he said.
The crowd whispered.
Han Fuji continued.
"Fu Fong hit his wife in front of everyone. Many people saw it."
He pointed lightly at the crowd.
"He also tried to take the children by force."
He looked at Fu Qin and Fu Lin.
"The children are also scared of him."
Fu Fong shouted angrily.
"They are just kids! They don’t understand anything!"
Han Fuji looked at him calmly.
"Sometimes children tell the truth."
The head guard nodded slowly.
Then he spoke.
"The children will stay with their mother."
Fu Fong froze.
"What?! You can’t do that!"
The head guard looked at him.
"I already did."
He turned to Bai Ming.
"If the annulment is signed, the children will stay with you."
Bai Ming’s eyes turned red, but she stayed calm.
Fu Qin held his sister tightly. Fu Lin hid behind their mother.
Fu Fong looked furious.
"This isn’t over," he said through his teeth.
But no one cared anymore.
The head guard looked at Han Fuji.
"Prepare the document."
Han Fuji nodded and opened the plain scroll.
"The annulment paper," he said.
A guard brought a wooden board.
Han Fuji placed the scroll on it.
"Once both of you mark this," he said, looking at Bai Ming and Fu Fong, "the marriage will end."
The yard became quiet as everyone watched.
Bai Ming stepped forward slowly.
Her eyes stayed on the annulment paper.
Today, she would finally leave the Fu family.
