Extra And MC-Chapter 107 - 103 - Evie Lockhart
-Rumble!
The moment Flynn reached the lower slopes of the mountain that led into the wide expansive space Aiden and the panicked frost serpents were, he immediately took to the skies, narrowly evading the crashing of the turbulent avalanche as it buried the Ogre Yeti behind him.
The destructive phenomenon of cascading snow didn’t stop there however as it continued its onslaught, burying the multiple Frost Serpents under piles and piles of pristine snow.
The thundering sound of the avalanche’s rampage continued on even after it had buried every single fissure monster present in the vicinity but after a few more minutes, the area finally quieted down gradually, leaving behind the slight swooshing sounds of the snowy, cold breeze.
"That was so close" Flynn said, a relieved expression on his face as he slowly glided through the air on his mana slates.
"So uh, care to explain how exactly you caused such a destructive phenomenon?"
Flynn in response to suddenly hearing his brother’s voice, whipped his head around from left to right, wondering where the voice came from.
"Down here" Aiden called out to his brother once again while sitting at the edge of the cliff he had previously jumped down from, his legs dangling back and forth.
"Oh there you are" Flynn finally angled his gaze downwards with an very relieved smile on his face as he spoke again, the smile on his face changing into a small smirk.
"You look like a small black ant from here Aiden!"
-Sigh…
"You’ve been itching to get back at me for that, haven’t you?" Aiden replied to his brother with a sigh of resignation, a similarly relieved expression on his face as he asked again.
"That being said, the Ogre Yeti that was chasing you, was it the boss monster?"
"Hmm… I think it is" Flynn answered casually.
One thing Flynn had found odd about running into the Ogre Yeti when he did, was that even with his mana sense, he wasn’t able to sense it.
It was almost like as if the creature was never even there in the first place until he peeked his head out and stared at the creature point blank.
’Almost like it camouflaged with the mana in the air… similar to how {Twilight Waltz} works’ Flynn mused.
’That’s something only high-tier monsters are capable of doing…’ the youth inwardly commented with a thoughtful expression.
"Speaking of the Ogre Yeti though…" the youth continued after a short pause, turning around in the air to face the spot where the avalanche had buried the creature.
"Raaaarrrrggghhh!!!" the beast burst out from under the heavy layers of snow with an immensely pissed roar!
"…I’m pretty sure it’s in the shittiest mood possible" Flynn concluded, his tone casual once again.
"And whose fault is that?!" Aiden asked his brother rhetorically with a questioning squint.
"Well it tried to kill me and I gave it a taste of its own medicine. An eye for an eye" Flynn replied with a relaxed shrug.
Watching his brother give another casual shrug, Aiden let out a tired sigh and instantly, jumped down from the cliff for a second time today.
Watching the creature whose giant eye seemed to be regenerating as it roared once again with an angered expression on its ape-like features, Aiden and Flynn had a singular thought on their minds.
’Yep. That’s definitely a boss monster!’
Another iron clad rule that every delver had come to realize over the years was that in lower ranked fissures, most, if not all boss monsters, usually had regenerative abilities.
"Well, at least we didn’t have to explore the entirety of the fissure till we found it eh Flynn?" Aiden commented with a small smile as he drew in a deep breath, visor of his retractable helmet covering his head in an instant.
"Now we just need to kill it. Easy peasy!" Aiden added with a small relaxed grin this time.
"Sure sure! Put yourself in my shoes with what I had to experience, and then, tell me if it was so ’easy peesy’ ?!" Flynn retorted in an annoyed tone as he dashed downwards through the air with his slates.
-Fwoosh!
In similar fashion, Aiden also dashed forward with his greatsword in tow, the humongous Ogre Yeti running towards both youths on all four hinds with a ridiculous speed of its own.

-Twoosh!
On the other side of the mountain, currently unknown to Flynn and Aiden, a single lady with short, beautiful blue hair and similarly mesmerizing blue eyes, was battling with two creatures of her own.
Their heated battle continued on for a few more minutes, the metallic smell of blood hanging in the air.
Eventually, as the battle raged on, a victor soon emerged.
"So Morrigan now sends her own mutt instead of actually battling us ourselves" one of the humanoid creature with two protruding fangs along with two, long, dark-colored horns on its head, spat in a tone dripping with venom, a deep gash across it’s pale skinned chest constantly leaking out a flow of crimson-red blood.
The other, a creature with a dark-grey skin, had both of his arms cut and severed at the tendons, causing it to loosely hang from his sides, his life slowly nearing the brink of death as it kept losing blood, all while staining the snow beneath him in a crimson shade of red.
Yes, both creatures were respectively, a vampire and an ogre.
"Oh shut it you darn bloodsucker! Shouldn’t you be ashamed?! You’re both losing to a beautiful human lady in her early twenties" the lady replied with a mocking tone while pointing her longsword to the vampire while adding a few more remarks.
"Besides, why the hell would leader have to battle such weak and pathetic traitors like you?!"
"Shut up human!" the vampire retorted, a hissing tone releasing from its mouth as it continued, a seething hatred in his eyes.
"Every world has to come under the reign of our king!"
"All you’re doing right now is delaying the inevitable! He will come back! And when he does, this world will bow down too!" the bloodsucker declared with a maliciously evil grin.
"Oh yeah. Well I’ll be looking forward to it then! Let’s see how your oh-so all-encompassing and tyrannical Demon King wins against the powerhouse that is our leader!" Evie Lockhart replied with a declaration of her own as she dashed forward.
-Twoosh!
In a futile attempt to put up a last-ditch effort at survival, the vampire lunged towards Evie with his sharpened, needle-like claws but soon enough, found his head separated from his neck in an instant, a fountain of red blood spewing around as the head continuously rolled in the air for a few more seconds.
Following this, the blue-haired lady impaled the bloodsucker’s heart, similarly dashing towards the downed ogre and impaling its heart with her longsword, ending the life of both beings in a matter of seconds.
As the Ogre spurted out blood and fell to its death, Evie spat out with a cold apathetic gaze.
"You both can go rot in hell for trying to infringe upon the peace of this world"
Walking away from the scene of her massacre with light casual steps, Evie stretched like a lazy cat, the previously apathetic look on her face now replaced with a happy one.
’Finally! I get to leave the academy!’ she thought to herself.
’It’s being fun and all but I’d like to be around leader and I’ve also greatly missed Ashildr…’ she continued inwardly.
As she kept walking, the atmosphere around her slowly distorted and eventually, golden particles materialized out of nothingness until a small, enigmatic golden eye, came into existence.
Blinking its otherworldly-looking eye a few times, the golden eye spoke despite not any having any organs for it.
"Is it done Evie?" Morrigan asked indifferently.
"Mission completed Leader!" Evie replied with a wink of an eye while giving a peace sign.
"Very well then. Good job" the Leader of Obelisk replied without a single hint of emotion in her enigmatic voice.
Hearing their Leader praise her on a job well done, the blue-haired lady internally squealed with an infectious grin as the golden eye disappeared into nothingness, just as it had come.
"Time to get out of here!" Evie said with a small skip in her step and after inwardly chanting a spell just after, the lady blinked out of existence, instantly appearing in the air at the other side of the mountain.
As this happened, the lady soon spotted two youths as she stayed suspended in the air, a wave of surprise washing over her.
"Aiden and Flynn Belmont? It’s you guys again! Hahaha!" she laughed quietly to herself after remembering how annoyed Rigurd had been when he found out about the two youths that had thwarted his plans at the royal banquet.
"More than that though, those guys are pretty strong if they can defeat that" she muttered to herself while watching Aiden sit atop the dead corpse of the Ogre Yeti, Flynn seated on the snow just beside him.
They seemed to be having a conversation of their own as evidenced from the smiles on their faces.
"That being said, I should probably send a thank-you letter to them for buying my battle suits as such bogus prices" the beautiful, blue-eyed lady giggled mischievously to herself.
’Well, I guess that will be happening at a much later time, chosen heroes…’ she thought to herself as her eyes kept staring at both youths with a warm smile.
"You both have a long and arduous path ahead of you" she muttered once again to herself as she inwardly chanted her spell, blinking her out of existence and immediately to the front of the fissure.
Following this, Evie Lockhart exited the fissure and prepared to also leave Arcana Academy that very same day.
