Extra And MC-Chapter 121 - 117 - Airships, Sky Pirates & Phantasms I
"Hey there Class Representative. Took you long enough"
"Hello there Positionless Flynn. It’s a lovely afternoon isn’t it?" Aiden replied to his brother with a similarly playful jab while stretching like an idle cat on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
"It sure is. Although I must say, it is quite cloudy with a chance of Phantasms and Sky Pirates" Flynn casually replied while fully turning around to face his brother, his back leaning on the ornately designed railings.
Ivelia let out a light-hearted giggle in response to Flynn and Aiden’s usual playful and witty banters while thinking to herself; ’This will never get old…’
Almost immediately, the beautiful lady rhetorically asked Aiden a question.
"Caroline is still sleeping isn’t she?"
"Yep" Aiden calmly replied.
"Figures. After that last rotation, I was sure she would be needing lots of rest" Ivelia stated with an approving nod.
"And now it’s time for our rotation…" Flynn muttered with a tired expression while gazing up at the blue sky as the wind kept ruffling his beautiful silvery-green hair, his katana still firmly grasped.
-Sigh…
"Can’t these guys just give us a break?" Flynn rhetorically asked as a gentle gust of wind blew past all three of them.
"I seriously doubt it hon’ " Ivelia replied while brushing her own hair aside from the gentle breeze that blew past.
"How many times does this make it now?" Aiden casually asked, both of his hands tucked in the pants of his uniform’s pocket even as the mild wind that brushed past, messily ruffled his hair.
"Seven over the total of three days. That is if you exclude other rotations asides ours" Flynn calmly responded.
"So in estimated total, around nineteen to twenty-one times?" Aiden rhetorically questioned in reply.
Following this, all three youths let out another tired sigh.
In the next minute though after that, they all began having another rather mundane discussion.
Midway through their casual conversation, Flynn interjected as he calmly spoke while pointing backwards with his thumb.
"Babe. There’s a camouflaging Phantasm just fifty-five meters ahead of us. Around 45 deg-… Actually, scratch that, it’s accurately 48 degrees"
"Roger that!" Ivelia concurred.
Swiftly aiming her bow in the direction Flynn had informed her about, Aiden watched as the lady skillfully let out three arrows in lightning fast successions.
Still with his hands tucked in his pockets, the youth watched as each arrow seemingly whistled through the air one by one without hitting a single thing.
But the third and final arrow upon passing through the same trajectory, grazed and chipped what seemed to be a red-crystal orb and the moment it did, the Phantasm, a pale-red creature with a jellyfish yet blob-like appearance, immediately appeared amidst the vast blue sky.

Deeming Ivelia who had punctured through its body several times and almost destroyed its orb its target, the creature dashed towards her while flashily morphing into a giant fist the size of an average car, ready to attack with a devastating blow.
Cutting its run short, the orange-haired lady quickly snapped her fingers and instantaneously, the creature exploded into oblivion along with its core.
"Easy peesy!" she gave Flynn and Aiden a peace sign after obliterating the creature.
"Nicely done!" Flynn genuinely praised Ivelia but almost immediately, he added while leaning off the railings with a more serious expression on his features.
"But that was just the appetizer…"
"Yeah. Now here’s the main course" Aiden followed up on his brother’s words.
As if on cue, multiple rugged and fairly large black airships that numbered in the twenties with the logo of a vicious red shark biting down on a person graffitied on its sides, casually spawned in the sky as they deactivated their cloaking tech and completely, surrounded the academy’s luxurious airship in an instant.
Watching as the Sky Pirates’ airships instantly surrounded them ’out of the blue’ Flynn and Aiden sighed again, already expecting what would happen next.
"Surrender yourselves now! We have you surrounded on all sides! One wrong move and its destruction for you!" a booming adult male voice rang out of the speakers of largest of the Sky Pirates’ airships.
Following this booming announcement, most of the second year cadets who were on the afternoon rotation, casually began to pour out in droves, each and every one of them either having a tired, exasperated or genuinely pissed expression on their faces.
Simultaneously, all the staffs that were previously on deck let out a tired expressions and retreated back into the safe confines of the luxurious airship. Some even let out a few annoyed curses as they did.
Adrian and Ivar, along with the few other cadets who had previously been informed about the Sky Pirates inevitable appearance by Aiden though, had a more relaxed expression on their faces as they made their way over to the trio who had previously been on deck.
"We, the Megalodons, are merciful to those who listen!" the thick, booming voice, swept through the sky again like a cascading wave.
"All you need to do, is just jump off your airship and leave it empty for us!" the voice continued with such a malicious and derisive snicker, one could almost feel the evil intent from it.
"If you fancy yourself a hero though, be our guest and hasten your ascension to the afterl-"
"Look here Mister! Your third rate speeches are seriously beginning to land on the wrong sides of our psyche" Flynn casually spat out aloud, his slightly annoyed voice carried by the vacuum in the air and interrupting the booming voice.
"This should’ve been a nice school trip but no, you and your previous buddies, just had to crash in on our fun!" the silvery-green haired youth continued, speaking for every single second year cadet now on the main deck.
"And do you know what happens when you ruin the youthful and peaceful ambience of super-powered teens looking for a way to take out their angst on something half the time?" Flynn rhetorically asked.
"Destruction is what ensues" the youth declared with a darkened gaze, the expression in his eyes completely cold and dangerous.
"So, you can either leave and we both go our separate, peaceful ways, or, you can do the opposite and aim for the scorching depths of hell in the afterlife. Either one is fine by us really"
At that exact same moment as Flynn stopped talking, the atmosphere in the air and around all the youths which had previously been normal, suddenly turned a few degrees colder as each and every single one of them, along with the other second year cadets on deck, had an almost destructive glint present in their eyes.
"You sure are one foolhardy brat aren’t you?" the voice soon replied after a while, seemingly equal parts shaken and spooked by Flynn’s calm words and the scary looks on the faces of all the cadets on deck.
"But at the end of the day, you’re all just brats! Brats who will end up dying by our hands!"
"Megalodons! Send these fucking brats and their airship to the bottom of the ocean!!!"
"Whatever you say" Flynn casually shrugged, his katana still firmly held in his hands as he continued.
"I did warn you after all" the youth muttered to himself as the multiple twenty-something airships began to charge up their super-powered beam cannons.
-BOOM!!!
Like a bolt from the blue, a streak of lightning suddenly blitzed across the sky instead, smashing into and directly puncturing through the main pirate airship which the thick voice had been booming from, triggering a large explosion that sent the airship slowly descending towards the ocean below.
"Oh look at that! A pissed-off, wild young master has appeared!" Flynn coolly stated with an amused expression on his face.
"You know, I’m beginning to wonder just how much annoyance you’re suppressing with those jokes" Ivar said to Flynn with a wry expression on his face and both Aiden and Adrian, along with Ivelia approvingly nodded in agreement.
Standing atop the slowly descending airship whose flight systems had now completely failed it, Lucas tightly held onto a man who seemed to be in his early forties by the neck while asking a question with a genuinely pissed expression on his face.
"It was your voice wasn’t it?"
"You were the bastard who interrupted my sleep!"
Amelia who had also run out after Lucas the moment he had woken up in annoyance, despite it not even being their rotation, rubbed her temples with a look of resignation on her face.
"Hieeeee!!!" the boss of the sky pirate voiced out in terror, afraid of what Lucas would do to him.
He had a look of genuine fear etched onto his face, and along with the one eye that wasn’t covered by an eye-patch, he frantically started searching for a way out of his now precarious situation.
"How the tables have turned eh?" Adrian quietly said to himself with an amused smile of his own as he watched Lucas lose the last bit of patience for the Megalodon’s boss he was terrorizing.
Unable to stomach the annoyance in his gut any further, Lucas took one powerful step forward, and with all of his strength, hurled the ringleader of the megalodons across the air with a phenomenal force.
"Well… he shouldn’t have thrown him in that direction…" Aiden casually commented with a blank expression on his face, his hands never leaving his pockets despite all that was happening.
Expecting the sky pirate’s ringleader to eventually plummet to the ground, Lucas along with the rest of the cadets on the deck and even the sky pirates themselves in their own airships, watched as the boss whom was thrown across the air like a discarded ragdoll, crash into what seemed to be a big blob of an invisible object.
-Bwomp…
Soon enough, the boss of the Megalodons was forced to watch in horror as the jelly-like object that held him in place slowly materialized from its camouflage and into full form, almost the size of two large trucks stacked upon each other.
Through its transparent pale-red body containing multiple shining red orbs, the ringleader of this band of sky pirates who had spent more than twenty years of his life illegally plundering from airships upon airships, watched on in utter fear as many more other phantasms materialized out of thin air, far outnumbering the numbers of their airships.
With a screeching and terrifying cry that would put most victims in a horror movie to shame, the boss ordered his subordinates with an ear-piercing scream!
"Kill them! Kill them all!!!"
"The Phantasms! The Brats!"
"Annihilate every last one of them!!!"
Following this, as if snapped out of the trance they were all in, every single one of the Megalodon’s airships fully charged their weapons and multiple sky pirates which numbered in about ten from each one, swiftly began to rappel down from their airships and onto the academy’s deck, intent on following their boss’s orders to the letter.
Immediately, an intense and chaotic battle ensued within a moment’s notice as the sky pirates let out ferocious battle cries!
"To plunder more riches and wealth to our heart’s content!"
"For the victory of the Megalodons!!"
"Attack!!!"
Most of the second-year cadets in response, just rolled their eyes in exasperation and instantly, engaged the sky pirates in a heated battle.
"Well that clinches it. He chose the second option!" Flynn declared while further tightening his grip on the finely crafted, silken texture of his katana’s tsuka.
"The scorching depths of hell in the afterlife it is!" he calmly added, a dangerous smile on his lips and an even more dangerous glint in his eyes as he instantly casted a spell.
