"No. No, no, no, no!" Aiden panicked as he stared at the next place that was about to be targeted by the railgun, his hands shaking in utter fear with the tablet in his hands.

Even Flynn was the same, a genuine expression of dread present on his face.

’How?!!!’

That was the question the two youths currently wanted to ask themselves!

However, without even being able to utter that singular word again, the brothers very much understood that another butterfly effect had occurred again.

This one though was a particularly nasty one and it was obvious as evidenced by the looks of terror currently on both of their features.

In further addition to this panicked state of theirs, was the emotionless and automated robotic female voice which suddenly spoke.

At some point, even the words of the automated voice began to sound distant as both brothers were stuck in a terrified state.

But even then, despite completely being in a state of immense trepidation, Aiden sharply and forcefully willed himself back to reality with a hard slap to both sides of his cheeks!

-Pam!

Instantly, as if on cue with his elder brother, Flynn who had watched what he did, followed suit and did the same to himself, his cheeks red from how hard he slapped himself.

Although they were still very much in a terrified state, they knew it wasn’t going to solve the nasty problem at hand.

They both had every reason to be immensely scared but at the same time, they literally weren’t permitted to be wasting a single second fearing what would happen.

What they needed to do right now, was what they had tasked themselves with doing from the very beginning; To completely stop The Railgun’s destructive rampage and destroy it.

The Aquamaris being added to the list of structures to be obliterated however, further intensified just how much they needed The Railgun destroyed as soon as possible!

"Sorry about that!" Flynn quickly said to his brother.

"I should be the one saying that. Anyway, let’s see if we can stop it through the tab!" Aiden swiftly replied with a very strong urgency in his tone.

Sparing no wasted second, the emerald-eyed youth instantly began to navigate through the controls of The Railgun, hoping to find a way to stop it through the device in his hands.

In no less than three seconds, the youth soon found a deactivation panel for the disastrous weapon.

’Yes!’ he and Flynn inwardly exclaimed!

Clicking on the button to deactivate The Railgun however, brought up a prompt requesting for a code to complete the process.

"Fuck!" Flynn and Aiden both cursed in annoyance.

’Of course this was going to happen! Shit! Shit! Shit!’ Flynn kept cursing inwardly, his thoughts rapidly coming up with a string of other alternative solutions to their dilemma.

Aiden on the other hand, instantly threw the useless tab sideways and spoke to his brother in a respectful but still very demanding tone.

"Don’t want to pressure you bro but I’m not that smart enough to come up with a plan to stop that darn thing in literal seconds! That’s all you man!"

"So I genuinely hope to high heavens that you have any! Any plans at all!" he further added with a critical expression.

"Just give me a few seconds alright Aiden. Also, I need you to answer every single question I throw at you as fast as you possibly can!" Flynn replied while pacing back and forth, stopping only to point at Aiden when he made the request of him.

"Roger that!" Aiden instantly replied and Flynn began the questions without a second wasted.

Or at least he tried to and was then interrupted by the robotic automated voice.

| T-minus 14 minutes and 46 seconds… |

"Shut the fuck up you damn automated machine!!" Flynn strongly cursed at the emotionless voice and Aiden couldn’t help but gulp in even more fear.

Rarely was Flynn ever placed in a scenario where he was this tense, so, for him to have reacted like that, genuinely meant that he needed all of his absolute concentration and focus.

"In the novel, The Railgun was only destroyed when The Tower went all out to purge all the dark organizations yeah?" Flynn swiftly asked his brother without minding the automated voice anymore.

"Yes! But that’s years later down the line!" Aiden immediately replied.

"Alright! Alright!" Flynn firmly nodded his head as he kept pacing back and forth.

"Now then, Magnus said we would never find The Railgun in the stratosphere right?!" he swiftly asked another question to which Aiden quickly replied.

"Yes! But how’s that supposed to help man?! And don’t even talk about flying to space just because Magnus said so ’cause I’m completely incapable of doing that!"

"Just answer my darn questions Aiden!" Flynn shouted at his brother in slight annoyance after which he then immediately followed up with another question whilst still shouting.

"Now the last; It was never explicitly stated how The Railgun was destroyed in the novel yeah?!"

"Yes! Again, how’s that supposed to help?!" Aiden also shouted back in response, a strong hint of frustration in his own voice.

Flynn on the other hand, instantly stopped pacing back and forth, walked past his brother and then retrieved the tab the youth had previously thrown away.

| T-minus 14 minutes and 24 seconds… |

Ignoring the countdown, Aiden watched on in utter confusion as Flynn navigated to the video feed of Bright-Fair park being disintegrated to oblivion via the tablet, while the video itself was being played on the wide panoramic screen present on the wall.

Flynn on the other hand, instantly rewound the video feed and stopped just as the rays descended onto the once beautiful park.

Pausing just as the rays were about to descend, the silvery-green haired youth, zoomed in on the ground instead and then played the feed with the slowest playback possible.

At first it wasn’t obvious as they both kept staring at the slowed down video feed, but it only took a few seconds before both brothers noticed that the rays actually didn’t do anything for the first few fractions of a second it landed.

No, instead, it became so unbelievably obvious that it was the ground that suddenly went red, as completely red as a volcanic magma usually was.

And, then, following that, the entire lush park was disintegrated into nothingness as a blinding white light akin to an exploding nova star shot up from the ground.

Silence descended upon the room for a split second as Aiden and Flynn realized the truth of why The Railgun was never found easily in the novel.

’The darn thing was underground! It was fucking underground! Way further underground! Possibly even way below sea the sea bed! The rays from above were just a shitty distraction to prevent anyone from easily finding out about it actually worked!’ Aiden inwardly exclaimed in utter shock.

In fact, he was now staring at his brother with a genuine look of awe and reverence in his eyes but without Flynn having to tell him what to do next, the youth had already leaped up into the air.

"[Gravity Series: Gravity Blast]-!!!" the youth roared as he willed all the mana into his fists and descended back downwards with a ridiculous show of raw power.

Instantly, as Aiden’s fist collided with the bloodied concrete flooring of the control room, a big hole instantly formed.

-BANG!

’Attaboy you OP punk!’ Flynn gave an approving nod while praising his brother whom had instantly picked up what they needed to do, his arms shielding his eyes from the exploding chunks of concrete rocks.

Aiden on the other hand, like a bulldozer tasked with making the hardened rocks of the floor its enemy, kept bulldozing his way downwards with one [Gravity Blast] after the other, each one more powerful than the next.

-BANG! BANG!! BANG!!!

Finally, after a few more seconds of his pure display of power, Aiden dropped downwards into a massively wide tunnel with dim white lights littering its roofing.

-Thud!

Simultaneously dropping after him, Flynn also landed with a strong thud, gazing at the dimly illuminated tunnel that was wide enough to fit six subway trains at the same time.

The tunnel they had both landed into seemed like it had been constructed almost two years back, as was evidenced from how fairly old and unkempt it looked.

On the floors were what seemed to be ridiculously wide train tracks of sorts, laced with what seemed to be multiple wires running along its sides.

The entire tunnel had a really damp and moist feel to it too but at the same time, there was a certain hotness to it.

Not hot enough to scorch someone but hot enough that if one stuck around for too long, they’d pass out of heatstroke.

Thankfully though, both brothers still had their battle suits on their beings and it was doing a fantastic job of regulating their bodies’ temperature.

Well except for their faces which was currently in full view without the visor’s covering.

Now gazing at the long, hollow and expansively wide tunnels with its dimming lights of which some were even constantly flickering, their two, tall and youthful figures in the backdrop of it all, both of them couldn’t help but be immensely puzzled by how the Monolith had built such a crazy underground structure in secret.
