’Doppelganger and Spatial Shift huh…’ Ashildr mused to herself, a bit impressed by the signature ability the two youths had ended up creating with their Prana.

Although there were more abilities they could end up creating with Prana given many more years, the fact that they even created abilities so stable within a few weeks was nothing short of impressive.

Sure the Celestial orbs had a hand in their increased mastery over it but nevertheless, it was till a noteworthy feat to say the least.

Drawing energy from the celestial orbs after all, required them to train under intense, life-threatening conditions where their willpower, needed to be at its strongest, enough that the human body decides to go past its usual limit to access the power of the orbs.

Which was why the first two months of their training, had the two youths meditating at the bed of the glacial sea where all of their body conditions was practically frozen in stasis and begging to be saved.

First it had started with minutes, and then they gradually improved, making them spend an hour, then two hours, eventually leading up to hours and then days.

In fact, towards the end of the second month, the brothers were able to comfortably spend a week in the same conditions without a single issue.

And in line with that, the gains they had made in terms of increased core ranks and their ability to use energies far beyond their level, if only for a brief moment, was worth all the severe and rigorous training.

Prana especially, was the one they had a firm grasp on and could use for extended periods of time while Aether was something they could only maintain its usage for about ten minutes.

’What’s more impressive though, is how the fundamentals of their created abilities, strongly mirrors the kind of Authority they’ve been working on…’ the Valkyrie inwardly commented, her thoughts continuing on;

’That way, they’ll gain a much faster mastery over it…’ she smiled a bit, her steps casual.

She really liked how Aiden and Flynn had thought far ahead and were steadily working in that direction.

"Hmmm… At this rate, I think they’ll be able to stabilize their Authorities within a month…" Senya commented as her and Ashildr, made their way back to the Frontlines, seemingly understanding her sister’s thought process.

Sigrun and Morrigan had left a few minutes ago to attend peculiar tasks of their own, with the former leaving earlier than the latter, leaving only the two Valkyries strolling across the wide expanse of glacial ice.

Considering Senya was no longer toiling at the Academy and the brothers had taken up the job of subduing the demons from irregular fissures as a form of training, she basically had her hands free.

Ashildr whom had been staying at the Frontlines for the longest time though, replied with a small nod;

"Yes. Considering the rate at which the fissures are appearing, that would be optimal…"

"That being said, this iteration, although the most successful, will probably be the earliest in terms of Beelzebub’s arrival and the invasion" she added, her expression solemn.

"Yeah. I figured so too…" Senya nodded in agreement, a similar expression present on her feature as she added, her voice barely above a whisper;

"It scares me Ashildr… knowing this will be the end…"

"But what really terrifies me, is not knowing what the outcome of this last stand of ours will be…" she continued, her voice a bit more audible this time.

Glancing over to watch Senya, unable to refute her words, Ashildr simply kept quiet, all whilst moving over to gently clasp Senya’s hand in hers as a gesture of comfort.

In response to that, Senya lightly smiled and the two walked on.

Walking on in silence, a comforting atmosphere settling between the two as they filtered through their memories of the last few hundred iterations, the mood was interrupted by a peculiar, fracturing sound.

Instantly, both Valkyries turned their heads over to watch another ominous, irregular fissure, invade the slightly red-tinted skies, a casual gaze, akin to something unordinary to them, present on their faces.

"When that time comes Senya, we’ll bear witness to how it’ll turn out" Ashildr calmly stated, her hands retrieving what seemed to be a white-hued, formless weapon, formed from Prana.

"Yes. But for now…" Senya also retrieved her weapon in similar fashion, her eyes glancing over to Evie and a few other blue-haired individuals from the Frontlines, blinking into existence all around them.

"We’ll do what we can" she concluded, her gaze resolute.

No sooner had she said that, the cheery voice of the ever-animated Evie, cascaded into their ears;

"It’s showtime!!!"

Far above the skies of Arcanora, orbiting the planet itself and existing in the vast darkness of space, was a state-of-the-art space station.

Equipped with advanced camouflaging cloak technology, Nebula Sentinel, as named by Magnus Emberclaw, effortlessly evaded detection from the other satellites orbiting Arcanora.

The space station itself, had a sleek and expertly-designed exterior, all of which bristled with multiple high-tech sensors and mechanisms, which was very useful for destroying asteroids (or space pebbles as Magnus liked to call it) that occasionally floated around.

However, all that aside, the most eye-catching structure of the Sentinel, was the gargantuan Railgun which dominated its entire expanse as it was gradually being rebuilt from the ground up.

Hurtling towards the space station though, completely unaffected by the absence of gravity, was Morrigan.

Considering the Tower had been able to suppress almost every blessed dark organization in the Five Nations due to the information from the two youths, Morrigan, along with requesting a bit of help from Xavier, had this space station set up so that Magnus could continue the task she had given him.

Flapping and retracting her wings as she landed on the surface of the space station, Morrigan despite the camouflage tech still being active, easily located one of the many hatches present on the expanse of the technological marvel and jumped in.

The moment she was in though, she was greeted by the busy, softly illuminated interiors.

The atmosphere was almost akin to a hive of somewhat, ragtag, barely-controlled chaos of scientists, technicians and engineers, their voices overlapping with the hum of power generators and metallic whirs.

These set of skilled people, all of whom were previously members of Obelisk, hurriedly walked around the labyrinth of sleek metallic corridors, tired yet purposeful expressions on their faces.

Some of them who knew their de-facto leader, upon noticing her, would nod and bow their head in reverence and then, promptly, get back to their individual or team tasks.

Time was of the essence after all.

As Morrigan made her way to the Central Command Center, passing by a certain room where a small explosion simultaneously occurred, sparks and tools clattering about in its wake as the team of scientists struggled to keep things under control, the Valkyrie simply paid it no mind.

This wasn’t her first time here after all, and this certainly, wasn’t the first time that would happen as it was a very common occurrence.

Arriving at her destination, the center buzzing with activity as supervisors and technicians, monitored the progress of the railgun’s structure and strategized on how to quickly complete it and get it to operational readiness, Magnus, whom was their head scientist, supervisor, technician and engineer, gave orders to a few people around him, all whilst pressing a few buttons on the holographic displays and diagnostic panels before him.

As if sensing her presence, the man swiftly turned and lightly bowed, even from afar, one to which Morrigan simply waved her hand in acknowledgement.

Moving over to him, her eyes lingering on the massive holographic screen situated meters above and in the middle of the massive control center, Morrigan listened to Magnus as he spoke;

"We’re almost reaching completion Leader. Just need to iron a few nuts and bolts out and we’ll be golden"

"Mmm…" Morrigan hummed, a thoughtful expression on her face, after which she then asked;

"If you were to make an estimated guess, how much longer would it take you?"

"Four months and a half tops. That should do the trick…" Magnus confidently replied.

However, Morrigan wasn’t too happy about that… especially considering the rapid rate at which the irregular fissures were appearing.

Soon, Beelzebub was going to realize that the humans were stronger than he had anticipated this time and would probably, decide to invade even earlier.

’Maybe even in three months’ time…’ she mentally surmised.

Since there wasn’t an all-out war this iteration between the Tower and the dark organizations, most of the most powerful rankers, along with a healthy amount of rankers in general, would be at the ready to protect their world.

But even then, that was only a baseline to protect Arcanora, especially since she couldn’t really fathom anyone else asides Amael, killing off the Demon King.

Not even all her sisters combined strength could do that as unfortunately, their strengths lay within the mid to high tier SSS-rank range, talk less of Xavier whom was at EX-rank.

That said, the Valkyrie also understood that it would be insensitive of her to push Magnus and his team even harder considering they were already overdoing it to meet her demands.

A technological weaponry of this scale, one that was going to be an indispensable asset in the incoming invasion, needed to be as perfect as it possibly could, enough that it wouldn’t backfire on them instead.

"One thing though, if by any chance, I’m able to get another Eclipsian Prism, we could significantly reduce the time it’d take for us to complete the Railgun" Magnus scratched the back of his head while suddenly speaking, catching Morrigan’s attention.

"By how much?" she calmly asked.

"By three months" Magnus replied, causing Morrigan to be a bit pleased, although her outward expression was emotionless as usual.

However, as if in line with those exact words from Magnus, a familiar voice, one Morrigan hadn’t heard in the longest time, echoed across the expansive room to meet them.

"One more Eclipsian Prism, eh? Well, yer in luck, kiddo!"
