The last statement from Flynn, was all Quinn heard before a crushing kick, one that went right for his solar plexus, sent him hurtling straight into the sky.

Thwam-!!!

Struggling to reorientate himself mid-air, his flow of breathing disrupted as he struggled to exhale, Quinn managed to activate his series.

’[Blood Series: Healing Factor]’

Like a rejuvenated flower, his body returned to peak condition in no less than a second, his field of vision and perception, heightened to its max.

However, the sight before him, just as he was freefalling downwards, sent him into a slight wave of panic.

Far beneath, he watched as the twenty-something Obelisk Members he had brought along, were already knocked out cold, courtesy of Aiden who was currently slamming the head of the last member straight into the unforgiving rocky terrain.

Unfortunately for him, before he even had the chance to fully comprehend just how royally screwed this whole operation was, another Flynn appeared right before him in the sky, his hands moving at a blur to grab onto his face.

Swiftly, Quinn tried to use another spell.

But alas, Flynn’s clone was faster.

Before Quinn could even protect himself, he felt a crushing impact, reverberate through his entire being, right from his head, all the way through his spine and across every nerve cell in his body.

-BAM-!!!

"Mmmgghh!" the Obelisk Arm let out a muffled groan of immense pain, the youth’s palms which was clasped over his mouth and face, suppressing his voice.

Sadly, that was only the beginning of his beatdown as almost instantaneously, Flynn’s clone, tossed him over to Flynn himself who grabbed onto his arm and slammed him straight into the ground again.

-BAM-!

Repeating the brutal action a few times, Flynn, continued on till Quinn was completely knocked out.

-BAM-!

-BAM-!!

-BAM-!!!

A few minutes later, satisfied with the hell he had put the man through, Flynn stopped his wicked assault, one to which Aiden casually glazed over as he rounded up all the Obelisk members that were knocked out.

Simultaneously, Flynn also retrieved an advanced grade healing and mana recovery potion from his spatial ring.

Moving over to the brutally-beaten and knocked-out cold Quinn, Flynn poured the potions into his mouth.

Whilst waiting for him to regain consciousness, Flynn said to his brother;

"Wanna do the honors this time?"

"Yeah sure. Why not?" Aiden responded, reappearing right beside his brother.

Truth be told, Flynn presently, despite being a tier-ranking lower than Quinn, shouldn’t have being able to beat him in such a one-sided manner.

However, the fact that he wasn’t using mana but prana, meant that Quinn, even with immense mastery over mana sense, couldn’t predict any moves from him, hence why he found it easy to steamroll the Obelisk Arm.

That said, watching as Quinn’s eyes instantly opened, his alertness at an all-time high, Aiden allowed the man to swiftly dash backwards, his daggers in hand as he tried to protect himself.

"Go on. Use your series." Aiden even gestured to the man, causing Flynn to speak in amusement;

"Awfully nice of you eh Aiden?"

"I know right. I’m the coolest!" he brushed his hands through his hair with a cool pose, a gesture to which Flynn shook his head in resignation at.

Quinn on the other hand, without even a single moment wasted, took the opportunity and activated another spell.

’[Blood Series: Overdrive]-!’

Instantly, the Obelisk Arm felt himself become ten times stronger than he previously was, the adrenaline in his body pumping blood at an increased rate, all through his entire system.

Even the way the mana in the air, violently rushed towards him, was proof of that increased strength, all of which was noticeable by the brothers.

Currently, it seemed like he was on the verge of being a low-tier SSS ranker, not that Aiden was disturbed by that in the least.

As Quinn trained his gaze on the youths, his usual demeanor nowhere to be found and replaced with complete solemnity, he simultaneously activated his weapon art.

’[ShadowRealm Art: Shadow Wisp]-!’

Instantly, tendrils of shadowy-like aura, surrounded the man’s blade, one to which he immediately slashed downwards from afar.

Not a single sound made, the attack came and went in the fraction of a second…

Only to instantly appear just before the youths as a large singular arc of immensely powerful pitch-black energy, threatened to cleave through their bodies diagonally.

-SWIIISSSHHH-!

However, in the fraction of a second, Flynn, simply blinked away while Aiden, took the attack head on.

At a speed faster than the speed of sound, the youth dissipated the deadly attack with {Counterstance}.

But just as he did, he watched Quinn already in his field of vision, daggers cleaving downwards.

Returning his greatsword into his spatial ring, Aiden casually raised his hands, one which was moving at an incomprehensible speed to Quinn.

-Grip-!!

In a heartbeat, he had held the man’s attacks in place by gripping onto both of his arms, the pressurized burst of wind from the sudden halt, ruffling his hair.

-Fwoossh…

And then, without even a single moment wasted, Aiden launched a brutal headbutt, one that caused Quinn’s head to spin in concussion.

However, just like Flynn had previously done, Aiden was just getting started.

In the next second after that, he delivered a crunching punch to the man’s face!

-BAM-!

Instantly, Quinn flew through the air like a weightless paper kite, hurtling backwards at an immense speed.

But almost instantaneously, Aiden blinked behind him and delivered a brutal uppercut that collided with his jaw, sending him upwards, straight into the sky!

-BAM-!!

Yet again, Aiden blinked over to the sky, delivering another wicked punch that sent him right back to the earth!

-BAM-!!

Still, just before he collided brutally with the rocky terrain, Aiden was already before him again and Quinn at this point, realized;

’I’m going to die today…’

-BAM-!!!

With a deafening bang, a hole forming beneath his head as it violently collided with the rocky terrain, Quinn felt himself, holding onto the last bits of his consciousness.

-BANG-!

But, as if to drive home the fact that he was marked for death, Aiden, grabbed onto his head and brutally dragged his face across the entire terrain in a singular straight line before flinging him like a broken marionette, straight into the wall of the small crater with another deafening bang!

-BANG-!!

Watching the Obelisk Arm who was lodged into the wall, a mangled mess, Aiden, just like his brother had previously done, also retrieved two potions, moved over to the man and casually downed it into his throat.

A few seconds later, Quinn woke up again.

This time though, he soon realized the actual reasoning behind what the two youths were doing.

They weren’t planning to kill him like he had previously thought.

No.

Far from that.

They were after something much more important.

His spirit.

That was what they were really after.

Aiden and Flynn, with the frankly unsettling smiles of amusement on their faces, were planning to completely break his spirit.

"Hello sunshine." Flynn greeted, his katana presently in his hands.

"Ready for round three?" Aiden added, squatting a few meters from him with an amused expression.

Quinn knelt on the ground, broken.

His head was slumped in defeat and his eyes were hollow.

His daggers, just like him, lay on the ground, broken.

In his mind, he realized that Magnus and Rigurd didn’t lose to the youths just because they weren’t fighting at their best.

Although this current version of the youths was something even a high-tier SS-ranker like him couldn’t deal with, he understood clearly that the youths, just as they had planned how to reduce him to this state, must’ve also done the same to a certain extent for their other Arms.

New novel chapters are published on freewёbn૦νeɭ.com.

"Please ensure that he stays alive." Aiden who was currently speaking to Julius, along with a few other Tower Rankers after they had contacted them, said to the old man who simply massaged his temples in resignation.

The amount of contributions these two youths alone had contributed to Arcadia and the Tower in general, was enough for them to become Tower Executives at such a young age.

’And yet, they don’t seem the least bit interested in joining us…’ he thought to himself.

"He’ll be very useful in the oncoming invasion. That we’re sure of." Flynn soon added and this time, Julius, turned over to face him, sighing as he responded;

"We’ll ensure to do that."

Nodding in appreciation for the man’s words, Aiden and Flynn soon went over to meet their father who was talking to Sebastian and a few other rankers.

Julius on the other hand, had another thought surfacing through his mind;

’SSS-rank and SS-rank at such a young age. Arcadia would probably flip over if this kind of news was made known.’

"Ready to head home?" Leopold asked his sons.

"Yes please." they both replied with happy expressions.

And so, with that said, The Duke, alongside the youths and Sebastian, soon got into the car that they had brought over.

On the journey back home though, Flynn and Aiden had a similar string of thoughts running through their heads as they pondered over the reason they decided to leave Quinn’s spirit in shambles.

Knowing fully well they must’ve been garnering his interest, something they had also inquired from Evie who seemed to have a deep disdain for him, their speculations had been right.

The only thing that was left, was to find a way to have him attack them when they were seemingly unguarded.

Considering the Obelisk Arm had been under strict orders by Morrigan to not cause any civilian casualties, an information the youths had learned of a few months ago from the Valkyrie, they had used that information to their advantage.

Due to these, they purposely had Evie leak their whereabouts to some Obelisk members.

It was also due to these, that they had toured some certain spots in Frostfall which were relatively devoid of people for a few minutes instead of heading straight to the Spaceport to go home.

Because Quinn, as they knew from the information they possessed, was a man who constantly sought out stronger people to battle with, all for the purpose of validating his own strength.

This insatiable thirst of his, was also what made him resort to using tactics that would possibly rile people up because asides from his desire for strength, Quinn also loved the smell of blood and bloodshed itself, which was mostly in part, due to his long-time fascination with his [Series].

A [Series], that allows him to control blood due to the mana present in it.

That kind of [Series], was one that would be a game changer in a place where there was constant bloodshed like a war, hence their need to suppress him and get him to behave.

Considering how much of a rebel he was, they knew simply catching him and having the Tower keep him on lockdown till the invasion wasn’t going to help matters.

Morrigan could control him yes, but at the same time, they knew from their knowledge of the novel that the bastard, instead of fighting demons during the Demon king’s invasion, still had the guts to go after humans.

Truly, he was a case of a psycho just being a psycho in every sense of the word.

Which was why they had decided to take his suppression a step further.

By breaking his spirit, that meant, that at the very least, he would be more willing to respond to orders and instructions in the future; at least, if not from others, he would respond to theirs.

Still, the fact that he instead, made their teleportation portal, transport them far to the outskirts of New Eden just to honor Morrigan’s condition, garnered their respect for the man a bit.

That said, it very much still felt like such a fancy scheme to the youths because honestly, they had thought he would ambush them the old fashioned way as soon as he got the chance.

Finally reaching the gates of their mansion though, their expressions warm as they watched the expanse of it bustling with maids and workers, Aiden and Flynn, were truly happy to be home.

But more than that, the moment they got out of the car to head into the mansion itself, the youths were met with an unexpected sight.

Right in front of their doorsteps, were all their family and friends, all of whom seemed to have being waiting in anticipation for their return, radiant expressions on their faces.

From their Mum, to Ivelia and Ivar, Briar, Caroline, Butler Frank, Adrian, Beatrice, Bryan, Amelia, Maya, Lucas and even Derek, every single one of them was here.

And then, in unison, each and every single one of their voices distinct, all of them, along with their Father and Sebastian who were behind them, greeted with the warmest of smiles;

"Welcome home!!!"
