"Leave!"

Aiden and Flynn involuntarily took a step backwards, a wave of despair settling into their hearts.

Their heartbeats increased rapidly and they began to sweat profusely, an eerie spine-chilling coldness coursing through their spines, and spreading across their body even at this very moment.

’This is bad!!! This is very bad!!!’ they both thought to themselves.

The towering Kraugr before them was very abnormal and they knew it!

Although they had it at the back of their minds that there might be a possible boss monster, this was beyond anything they could’ve imagined.

Boss Kraugrs, according to the novel’s contents, were not as gigantic as the one before them, and neither were they capable of human speech.

As the giant Kraugr stood imposingly while staring at them with its hauntingly terrifying hollow eyes that reflected an indescribable sense of dread, it spoke again with an unearthly voice full of malice and hostility.

"Death it is!"

-Thruk!!

-Thruk!!

Like a ruthless monarch passing an unescapable death sentence, two crystalline pillars emerged from the ground in the fraction of a second in response to his swords, separately slamming into both brothers without hesitation.

"Flynn watch ou- Argghh!!!"

-Bang!

-Bang!

Flynn and Aiden watched as each of their bodies were flung into the left and right side of the walls of the grotto like a ragdoll, cracks appearing on the moss-covered walls.

-Kaahh!!

Flynn who was unable to coat himself with mana in time despite sensing the sudden crystalline pillar that jutted out of nowhere, found himself in a world of pain and hurt.

Feeling a lingering mix of sweetness and sourness erupting from the depths of his guts, the youth let out a mouthful of blood.

-Splurt!

Just from the blood he spurted out, Flynn knew that he had taken some major internal injuries along with a few cracked ribs.

In addition to that, a trail of blood was continuously leaking from his head and dripping down his forehead and onto his face.

If the monster could deal this much damage to him based on one singular attack, then Flynn knew that he had to be at a complete alert despite the world of hurt he was presently in.

Forcefully stifling another groan of pain, the youth swiftly unleashed his bloodlust across the entirety of the sixth floor’s wide illuminated grotto.

Aiden on the other hand who had sustained far less internal injury and was in a fairly better shape due to being able to use mana to coat himself in time, felt a sudden wave of bloodlust washing over him.

Glancing over to his brother within a split second, Aiden realized what Flynn was trying to do.

’Getting rid of the imposing fear and dread from the Kraugr while also numbing his pain and emotions!’ Aiden thought to himself.

When an individual was in a state where they were using bloodlust, to a certain extent, their emotions and sense of pain are numbed, even if only slightly.

But that simple trick would work wonders considering the opponent they were fighting against, was at least high-tier A rank or bordering close to low-tier S rank.

If they had done this before even stepping onto this sixth floor, Aiden had come to the realization that the wave of despair they felt at the first would have drastically reduced to say the least and they would have been able to react to his sudden attack a fair bit faster.

That was what Aiden had thought to himself.

Following his brother’s cue, Aiden similarly unleashed his own bloodlust.

Quickly retrieving his greatsword, the youth dashed towards the towering Kraugr like an unrestrained speeding bullet let loose from the barrel of its gun, all while leaving a mini crater on the ground in a matter of seconds.

-Boom!

"Fool!" the giant Kraugr bellowed as he finally moved the giant greatsword which he had held with a knight’s stance, descending its gigantic blade on the ants that dared to challenge it in an instant.

Flynn who watched the gargantuan blade slowly begin to descend upon them, used a spell with a resounding roar!

"[Telekinetic Series: Force Push]!!!"

As he did, an invisible force smacked into the incoming massive blade, halting it for a split moment and giving Aiden the time that was needed for him to dash up the staircase and cleave through one of the legs of the giant Kraugr.

The huge blade which had been stalled for a second, finally descended down, creating a deep long fissure all the way from the fairly long crystalline staircases to the flooring of the grotto, completely destroying it while also sending pressurized bursts of wind everywhere.

Even as this happened, Aiden attacked one of the creature’s giant legs with a devastating slash of his greatsword.

-Pang!!!

But even that was futile as Aiden felt the entirety of the muscles in his being vibrate with an intense wave of pain instead once his weapon collided with the giant foot of the creature.

-Swoosh!

-Bang!!!

Without even giving the youth any time to recover from his failed attempt at attacking him, the giant Kraugr landed a ridiculously powerful and immensely fast kick that should not have been possible despite how gigantic it was, to Aiden’s entire being, sending him flying upwards, several meters into the air like a broken kite.

-Crash!!!

-Kah!!!

Aiden felt his world turn upside down for a moment as he collided painfully with the ceiling of the grotto which were made of large stalactites and stalagmites, a fresh fountain of blood leaking from his head and painting all of his face red in an instant.

Quickly biting his tongue to regain his sense of clarity, Aiden swiftly used his [Reversal] spell, causing him to stand upside down from the immensely high-rise ceilings of the sixth floor, the giant Kraugr completely unaware of that fact.

As he did, he suddenly felt a huge wave of mana continuously being sucked into one spot and once he did, he realized that Flynn was about to use his weapon art.

Gazing down at the figure of his brother who was now protected by an immensely thick layer of a green aquamarine shield while taking the stance for his weapon art’s release, a by-product of his [Force Field] spell, he watched as multiple pillars of crystals relentlessly slammed into the pulsing shield, intent of shattering it.

-Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Futile!" the giant Kraugr roared menacingly as Flynn’s shield slowly began to reveal cracked lines.

Realizing that his brother’s shield wouldn’t hold on for too long, Aiden was about to dash back downwards when a few stalagmites and stalactites suddenly dropped to the floor.

-Thud! Thud! Thud!

Then, an idea to gain an advantage over their adversary struck him in an instant!

Without a single more moment’s wait, Aiden hurled his greatsword downwards with immense force towards the giant Kraugr’s head, sending it staggering backwards ever so slightly.

-Bam!!!

"Impossible!" the creature released a thundering shout with an otherworldly feel to it.

The towering Kraugr who was taken aback by the fact that Aiden was not out of the fight yet, arched its giant head upwards to stare at Aiden with its eerily hollow eyes.

However, what it got in return was multiple barrages of crystalline stalactites and stalagmites that relentlessly assaulted it by crashing onto the same spot on its head.

"Have a taste of your own medicine you piece of shit!" Aiden spat in a tone dripping with venom as he hurled the large, irregularly shaped cylindrical cones of crystals at it.

-Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Aiden kept running around the ceiling of the cavern’s grotto, breaking the stalactites and stalagmites at their roots and continuously kept chucking it downwards with a ridiculous force towards the head of the gigantic Kraugr.

-Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Despite seemingly having no effect whatsoever on the creature, Aiden kept on with his relentless assault, distracting the monster from focusing on Flynn.

Flynn who by now had now gathered all of his mana along with even pulling more from his surroundings, released his weapon art slowly.

"{Moonveil Art – First Form…"

The youth buckled slightly due to how weak he was currently feeling after receiving the very first brutal attack from the giant Kraugr but swiftly, caught himself by placing his next foot forward.

"…Severance}"

Completing his statement, an electrifying chill and pressure bore down on the atmosphere around him.

The giant Kraugr who was about attack Aiden, swiftly tried to refocus his attack back on Flynn with his crystal pillars but it was too late

-Shiiinnngg!

A pale blue arc of crescent light, swept through the grotto in a long singular slash, bathing the entire floor in a shade of moonlight hue.

The gargantuan Kraugr, as imposing as it was, was smart enough to realize how devastating the attack was.

But, in an effort to prevent the cathedral he was protecting from being destroyed, he took the full brunt of the attack without evading it.

-Schwing!!!

The giant arm of the Kraugr which was holding onto it’s greatsword was severed from its towering crystalline body in an instant, and following its fall to the ground, Flynn similarly collapsed at the exact same time, unable to move a single inch.

-Crash…

’You’d better not lose now Aiden…’ Flynn thought to himself, his consciousness barely hanging on.

The giant Kraugr who was now really outraged by the fact that some ants were capable of inflicting this level of damage on him, growled with an eerily deep tone as he spoke to the collapsed youth.

"Now you die!"

But before he could even try to do anything remotely dangerous, Aiden tensed his legs and dashed forward from the ceiling while deactivating [Reversal] and activating [Grav Boost] simultaneously.

-Boom!

A mini crater instantly formed from where he dashed on the crystalline ceiling and just as he neared the humongous Kraugr in an instant, he also deactivated [Grav Boost], all while simultaneously willing most of his mana and using another spell immediately.

"[Gravity Series: Gravity Blast]!!!" Aiden roared, his green, mana-coated hued fist, colliding with a tremendous force on the same spot of the giant Kraugr’s head.

-BAM!!!

The Kraugr staggered backwards once more again, but this time he moved far backwards, completely different from the slight staggering he had been previously subjected to.

Though even as he did, he made sure not to collapse onto the ruined cathedral behind him.

Aiden however who was currently on the giant Kraugr’s head, released another spell, directly onto and in the exact same spot he had been targeting from the very beginning, his blood-covered face and emerald green eyes extremely cold and apathetic.

"[Gravity Series: Gravity Blast]!"

-Bang!

-Crack...

The giant Kraugr felt a slight crack on its head the moment Aiden’s punch landed on its head again.

"No!" the Kraugr bellowed as it soon realized what was about to happen.

"[Gravity Series: Gravity Blast]!!"

-Bang!!

-Crack...

This time, the crack slowly extended towards the entire length of its gigantic body.

"Nooooo!!!" the creature roared, it’s defeat eminent.

"[Gravity Series: Gravity Blast]!!!" Aiden let out a heaven defying roar one last time, imbuing the last of his mana reserves into the decisive punch.

-Bang!!!

-Crack…

-Crack…

-Shatter!!!
