Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 219: Helia Von Stavenger
Two days later
Following Olivia’s request, Kaiser went to the Stavenger faction. He had taken care of some paperwork at Black Neon, especially after The Spectrum’s ultimatum; he would have to be cautious.
He still wondered who that man was. According to the report he had received, the man was so fast that he seemed to teleport...
’Let’s hope that’s not the case...’
Only the Draken family masters spatial Arcane magic. If that man could teleport, then the Draken family was close to The Spectrum...
’May the butterfly effects not be so great...’
He had put on a perfectly fitted black combat outfit, and his hands were protected by gloves.
"No need for armor, just a coat for aura farming." Kaiser murmured to himself.
When he arrived in front of the imposing doors of the faction, a group of students standing guard intercepted him immediately.
One of them, a boy who towered over him by at least a head, locked eyes with him.
"What brings you here?" he asked in a tone meant to be intimidating.
"Go tell Helia that Kaiser is here," he replied in a dry voice, not even bothering to look at him.
"Tsss..." The guard clenched his jaw, visibly annoyed by this lack of deference, but he thought better of it.
Everyone knew that Olivia had close ties with Helia, the mistress of the place, and Helia in turn had been quite close to Kaiser since Isabella’s death. Provoking an incident over something so minor would not have been wise. He simply nodded.
"Follow me."
Kaiser followed without a word. They crossed several corridors until they stopped in front of a wooden door. The guard was about to knock when...
"You can come in," answered a calm and composed female voice from inside.
The boy turned to Kaiser, gave him one last pointed look, then turned on his heels, leaving him alone in front of the door.
Inside, the office was spacious, lit by dim light.
Helia Von Stavenger stood leaning casually against her desk. Considered the best strategist in the novel, she was known for having received the blessing of Jophiel, Seraph of wisdom. But Kaiser knew it was much more than that...
All the Stavengers had this blessing. Why was she so gifted that her father let her lead the legendary family?
Her face with delicate features displayed an almost melancholic calm, made even more enigmatic by her thin dark glasses. Her black hair, cut into a short smooth bob, was accented by straight bangs that perfectly framed her eyes.
She wore a full black leather outfit: a high-collared buttoned blouse adorned with complex silver embroidery on the shoulders, and a large cross with a central ruby fixed at her neck.
A very slim waist contrasting with generous hips, all dressed in a slit dress that revealed many interesting things...
In an armchair next to her, Evelyn Greycastle sat with an almost provocative nonchalance. Cigarette in hand, she watched the smoke lazily rise toward the ceiling. Still in her purple military uniform, as if she were no longer a student...
It highlighted her curves, with a plunging neckline underlined by black lace trim. Her black hair was styled in a tousled manner under her officer’s hat. Her violet eyes fixed Kaiser with icy intensity. Since what had happened between them, she still held a grudge against him, even if a part of her had not completely extinguished her feelings.
Beside her stood Allister von Stavenger, an A-rank magical warrior, known for being fiercely protective of his little sister, Helia. Tall, with long black hair, he had dark eyes and a horizontal scar across his forehead. He stood there, arms crossed, observing Kaiser without any expression.
In reality, he had nothing against him personally, but since his sister did not hold him in high regard, he considered him by extension a potential threat.
When Helia saw him cross the threshold, her face darkened instantly.
He greeted the group with a nod, deliberately ignoring the stares converging on him.
"Kaiser." Her voice was calm, but the absence of warmth was so palpable that it became icy. She said nothing more, waiting.
Evelyn did not react immediately. She continued watching the smoke rise to the ceiling. Only a slight narrowing of her eyes indicated that she had registered his presence.
Kaiser advanced two steps into the room, keeping his hands in his trouser pockets.
"I’m here at Kleopatra’s request."
The first name, spoken without any honorific, caused a brief silence in the room. Allister raised an eyebrow, wondering who Kleopatra was...
Helia, for her part, simply narrowed her eyes. Mentally noting that Olivia was closer to Kaiser than she had believed... After all, only she knew that name before.
"I’m aware," she finally replied, "We leave in three hours. But before that, I’m going to explain where you’re setting foot. Sit down."
Kaiser remained standing, clearly signaling that he would not take any order that did not suit him.
Which Helia understood.
"The rift we are entering is desert-type." She tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear. "That means sand as far as the eye can see, deep canyons winding for kilometers, sheer cliffs and constant hot winds. It’s terrain that punishes the slightest mistake." She slid her finger over the map to show him the dangerous zones.
"We’re dealing with Sand Trolls, Canyon Ogres, but Sand Worms are our biggest problem: they detect vibrations, so no unnecessary running. And finally, there are Desert Harpies."
She paused, adjusted her glasses with a precise finger gesture, then locked eyes with him.
"But the most dangerous thing is not just the creatures. The area is unstable. Sandstorms rise in minutes and reduce visibility to almost zero... So don’t put sticks in our wheels more than the zone already does."
Kaiser simply nodded.
"Understood."
He turned on his heels and left without adding a word, letting the door close behind him with a dull thud.
In the office, the silence lasted several seconds. Evelyn finally crushed her cigarette in the glass ashtray on the windowsill.
"Still as arrogant," she murmured, more to herself than to the others. She blew out one last cloud of smoke. "Are we sure it’s a good idea to bring him?"
Helia did not answer. She simply stared at the closed door.
In the corridor, Kaiser walked calmly, hiding his sweaty hands in his pockets. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Well, the meeting with the Avatar of Jophiel went rather well..."
