Suddenly the air in the room felt colder. Theia takes a step back, intimidated by the doctor presence. However, she stops once she realizes that he couldn’t really hurt her.

"I would like to know"

She mustered up her courage a bit. Hilda’s condition isn’t so great, the maid felt rather restless about this whole thing. She wanted to kill this guy but no matter how hard she tried, the doctor just won’t die.

Perhaps it would help if she learned something from his past. The doctor took another sip of the warm water, using it to stave off the chill of the winter air. He opened his mouth, releasing a puff of steam that mingled with the cold around him.

"Could You guess my age?"

Theia squeezes her eyes and uses her brain a bit. From what she heard the incident happened 20 years ago, which makes his age a minimum of 20. Then she needs to account for the fact that he massacred the whole village which a kid could not do.

"forty?"

"Do I look forty?"

The doctor’s gaze met Theia. The girl used that time to have a look at his face again, other than the scar at the corner of his mouth which made him look old, she couldn’t say that the doctor was older than twenty.

"No...."

"Exactly, I lost count when my age got past a hundred. Been stuck this way ever since... At that point, I was a bit insane... I am still insane but you get the picture. I was bored and I can’t die, and bam! result."

After hearing the doctor talk, Theia was astonished at the guy’s age and began to feel Hilda’s fury. If the maid had heard this explanation, she would have cut the guy’s skull open for another time.

"So you did that... because you are bored?"

Her first curled into a ball. She would’ve used her power to kill this man...if not for the fact that she’d have been out after.

"That’s the main reason... Another one is to see if the various tribes could kill me. Guess what happened.."

"Bastard"

Her anger surged, fueled by the knowledge that Hilda was suffering for such a petty reason. With determination, she summoned her fairy tale book, ready to call upon the wolf.

"Don’t be so hasty girl... Killing me would have...."

However, Theia didn’t listen to the guy and quickly summoned the wolf. It was as big as ever, its teeth were lethal enough to kill someone with a bite. The doctor looks at the wolf and sighs.

"I thought I’d got off light today"

He didn’t try to avoid the wolf as it lunged at him. It was pointless to dodge because the wolf was large enough to fill the entire living room. If he escaped, it would just mean extending his death sentence for another second. Which is a hassle.

The ferocious teeth dig into the doctor’s body. And he died. Theia gathered herself and unsummoned the wolf. This time, she felt her body pang with tiredness, but the summon time was short enough that she avoided falling asleep.

The door creek opens letting in the cold wind. Hilda stepped in and saw such a delightful night of the doctor missing a head and Theia hitting on the ground, exhausted from using her power.

She drops her supply bad and quickly approaches Theia, kneeling down to support her.

"Are you Ok? You don’t have to do this for me..."

Hilda is glad that Theia killed the guy for her but, she also didn’t want Theia to over-exert herself.

"I’m fine, I just wanted to kill him for what he did"

"...."

Hilda was torn between feeling guilt and glad. Now that Theia has some power, she can fight and defend herself. Hilda remembers how the girl shook when Reeva talked to her. She was relieved that Theia could finally stand up for her, but she was also concerned that she would have to enlist the help of others in her revenge.

Seeing the troubled face on Hilda, Theia placed her hand on the maid’s face.

"Don’t worry your trouble is my trouble, I have to repay your kindness"

Hear the word, Hilda felt a bit warn in her chest.

"Are you finished? we are leaving now"

Egul dislikes breaking the mood, but they didn’t have much time, it would be disastrous if they were trapped in a snowstorm while traveling, therefore the sooner they leave, the greater their chances of avoiding the blizzard. Hilda sent Egul a side eyes and prop herself up.

"Then let’s go."

They had already prepared everything when they brought supplies from the village so after Theia woke up they set off to Guragua.

"Hey, wait for me!"

The doctor was left to follow them right from behind.

------------

The church accommodation has been rather good lately. After the pope known about Reeva, his status changed from being a heretic to a guest. In the hallway, he could hear whisper from the priest, trying to figure out why Reeva’s position had changed drastically.

The church wasn’t this soft with anyone, at least not with people other than the royal family. This is why this stance change on Reeva is rather confusing from the outside perspective.

As Reeva expected the moment that the prince arrived in Lmemore, the story immediately spread around. Reeva heard the priest whisper about himself being the main heretic. A head of the organization or something.

He could only sigh after hearing such rumors, the prince’s plan was likely to have him be a scapegoat for this whole incident. Pinning the blame onto him and getting out of this situation.

Although it would be a weak card to play since he vouched for Reeva before he came here. It would still favor the prince since he was the prince and Reeva was just a heretic without a house name. However, Reeva has already played the winning hand. There’s little to no chance he would get held back by this.

The door knocks three times before creaking open. Reeva who’s sat in his room peeks up, curiosity present on his face.

He couldn’t imagine who would visited him at this time of day. However, Reeva is truly shock when he sees this face.
