Reeva left the cathedral with a big smile on his face, not only because he witnessed the shock reaction of the old man but also because he had to repay his debt.

Arriving at the guest house, Reeva could see that Quin had already prepared a map. Right between his hands, a piece of paper is rolled up for convenience. Seeing Reeva, the priest bows to him.

"I’ll get some tea for you, sir"

Max excuses himself since Reeva will likely do something with this map.

"Alright"

Reeva wave and approach Quin.

"To my room"

He walks past and quickly approaches his room. There, they quickly set up a table and then map rolls on top of it. The continent of Eyre is the biggest piece of land on the map. Taking about 2/3 of the entire thing. Then there’s a southern archipelago, that takes the other 1/3 of the map.

Reeva didn’t expect the empire to have maps of the southern land. At the end of the map, the eastern land is also mentioned but there’s no depiction of it. Only vague text says that they exist.

Currently, the Eyre Empire territory occupies 80% of the continent, leaving only 20% for the northern area. Lememore is firmly placed just east of the continent’s center. Their forefathers had a vision of constructing a big metropolis here because it is connected to so many other areas.

And it’s safe to say that their ambition has been accomplished. Today, Lmemore extends further than the eye can see. Housing up to millions of people.

To the east, Duranberg is the territory connecting Lememore and Tumidus territories. Its territory spans upward toward the motherland. With its territory named after its main city, Duranberg.

Looking upward, one could see the territories that in in trouble at the moment. Named after a city, the Guragua territories have the shape of an upside-down bridge, following the mountain line that separates the northern land from the Eyre empire. That is where the pope sent him.

"Currently our force is stationed at Duranberg, trying to contain the mutation"

Quin guessed Reeva’s intention after seeing him look at the map.

"I heard that the saint has been deployed"

"Yes, we’re hoping to lower the casualty"

The vast majority of crusader soldiers are not priests, but rather ordinary knights and mercenaries who answer the church’s summons. They are compensated highly, but their job is not simple. Dealing with an unknown animal mutation is going to have unexpected consequences for your body.

"Good to know, but that’s not my intention, do you have hair of, Theia or HIlda?"

"I will get it right away"

Quin exited the room and came back with a jar of hair. It was Hilda’s brown hair that they cut as insurance, now it is almost useless since they can’t possibly track a person who’s staying with a 5th mystic circle down.

The pope is capable of doing so, but he is unable to avoid the cost of such divination. And the pope’s responsibilities extend far beyond chasing out a 5th circle mystic. Leaving this to the priest in charge of the situation.

"Who is handling this case?"

"Currently, the Royal family is. They want to capture these heretics to prove that their prince is not involved in their escape. Thus freeing the prince of any wrongdoing."

"Not a bad plan"

Reeva has guessed that Theia helps Hilda escape by herself with some kind of new power. If they catch Hilda or Theia, the prince would be out of hot water. Duke Antores would have a hard time pinning blame onto the prince.

Right then, Max came back with a pot of tea and some cups. He pours it into a present to Reeva, the Tea is quite nice.

"May I ask what you’re doing?"

Max is puzzled by this setup. He didn’t know why Reeva needed a map and the hair of a heretic.

"Watch"

Reeva’s head began glowing when all of the ingredients came together, he picked out one of HIlda’s hair.

"O god, please lend me your divine insight. Guide my hand to where this hair owner is on the map"

Closing his eyes, Reeva could feel a burning sensation in his head. But his body isn’t burning, naturally being an apostle comes with its perks, and the most important one Reeva is using right now is to use divinity directly from the sun god.

His connection with the sun god is as deep if not deeper than any priest. He was able to draw faith directly from the sun god and use it to cast divinity. This method is limited by how often one could ue it.

According to the book, every time you borrow this power from the sun god, you must replenish it by offering a sacrifice. Usually mystical in nature. Even then, one has to wait a week before using it again.

But the benefit is that the divination doesn’t cause your body to burn, and could be used by anyone even if they’re not of the sun church. Albeit they need to be an apostle. The divination is that of the highest quality, meaning there’s nothing he couldn’t ask about. Still, there is a limit to that thing.

Finding people still require their body parts to function properly. Or else you have to list the name, height, and exact appearance of somebody. Even then you might not get the exact person you’re looking for.

People change, maybe they get a new scar change of clothes, or change in hair style. The divination would lead you to nowhere since the sun god can’t find those people. But just one piece of hair from the person could do the trick.

Reeva continued to close his eyes, but inside he could feel his coldness moving his hands. The priests look on in shock as they realize Reeva has cast a divination of high level. They half expected the guy to go up in flame, but their apostle seemed fine.
