Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 154: Ch : A Fierce Battle at an Altitude of 100,000 Miles 1
Chapter 154 - Ch 154 : A Fierce Battle at an Altitude of 100,000 Miles 1
Noel gazed at Edolas Noel, a slight smirk forming at the corner of his lips.
"If you want an all-out battle, let's take this to the ends of the sky. That will be our battlefield. I'm sure you don't want to reduce everything around here to rubble, do you?"
Edolas Noel nodded lightly, agreeing to the proposal.
He knew Noel was right—if the two of them unleashed their full power here without restraint, it would take less than ten minutes before the Edolas capital became nothing more than a memory for future generations to mourn.
Even though Noel was only using five percent of his divine power, and Edolas Noel's strength came from the Judgment Sword's divine energy, both were still fragments of godly power.
And no matter how incomplete, a God and a human existed on completely different levels of strength.
Even the most casual strike from either of them carried destructive force equivalent to super-magic level devastation.
If they fought here, just the aftershocks of their battle alone would be enough to annihilate the royal army of Edolas and wipe out Fairy Tail's members from Earthland without distinction.
Noel glanced downward, seeing that the two Erzas had already clashed, while Natsu and the others had begun their assault on the Dragon Knight piloted by the Edolas King.
Meanwhile, Mirajane and Gray had also engaged the royal army in battle.
Feeling slightly reassured, Noel spread his wings and soared straight into the sky, ascending toward the heavens.
Edolas Noel let out a cold sneer and followed, ascending into the sky.
The two figures transformed into streaks of black and white light, shooting straight upward.
The higher they climbed, the thinner the air became, and the temperature continued to drop.
The clouds gradually faded away, and the sky's color deepened from bright blue to a dark hue.
"This should be about right."
Glancing at the now darkened sky, Noel nodded and came to a stop.
If they ascended any further, there would be no air left.
This place was the perfect battlefield.
Edolas Noel also stopped, his lips curling into a cold smirk. "100,000 miles in the sky? Fitting. The perfect place for your grave."
"Right back at you," Noel replied.
"Enough talk—just die, you piece of trash!"
Edolas Noel raised the Judgment Sword, black energy rapidly condensing around the blade.
The dark power became tangible, coiling around the sword before swelling and extending—until the blade reached a staggering thirty meters in length.
With a single swing of his hand, the massive black sword slashed toward Noel.
(Whoa, whoa... That attack range is way too overpowered!)
Seeing the massive black sword, over thirty meters long and five to six meters wide, even Noel couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth slightly.
Without hesitation, he swiftly moved his body, dodging the incoming slash.
But instead of retreating, he charged straight toward Edolas Noel.
Edolas Noel's expression remained unchanged as he slashed diagonally, the blade cutting through the air like a bolt of black lightning.
Golden divine energy surged in Noel's hands as he met the strike head-on, clashing directly against Edolas Noel's Judgment Sword.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion erupted as the force of the impact generated a terrifying storm, sending violent shockwaves rippling through the sky itself.
At this level of combat, ordinary mages wouldn't even stand a chance—merely stepping within a hundred-meter radius of the battlefield would be enough to shred them to pieces by the sheer force radiating from the fight.
Despite having his sword strike blocked, Edolas Noel remained unfazed.
He smoothly redirected his blade and immediately launched another slash in a reverse grip.
The black sword sliced through the air, grazing a strand of silver hair.
In response, golden light flickered in Noel's hands, forming into a long divine chain that swiftly wrapped around Edolas Noel's black blade.
With a sudden, powerful tug, Noel locked the movement of the Judgment Sword.
A trace of disdain flashed in Edolas Noel's eyes as the massive black sword instantly disintegrated, reverting back into pure dark energy.
The blade shrank to its original size, but the energy did not dissipate.
Instead, as if driven by some mysterious force, it began to compress at an extreme level.
(Is it Star Shatter again?) Noel thought as he observed the scene.
As if reading Noel's mind, Edolas Noel let out a cold sneer.
Suddenly, a layer of gray energy covered his black sword, and his voice echoed ominously:
"God-Slayer: Annihilation."
Whoosh.
The sword swung—but there was no sound, no explosion.
Unlike Star Shatter, which erupted with an earth-shaking force, this attack was silent.
Yet, the sheer pressure it exuded was immeasurably more terrifying.
For a moment, time itself seemed to freeze.
The entire world turned gray.
This sword carried the power of annihilation.
Everything would perish before it—flowers would wither, grass would decay, oceans would dry up, and stones would crumble.
It did not matter whether something was alive or dead, real or illusory, tangible or intangible—even time and space themselves were fated to one day cease to exist.
And this sword embodied that absolute end—a force that erased all things, reducing them to nothingness.
Wherever the blade passed, everything disintegrated and ceased to exist.
Even space itself fractured and crumbled under its influence.
Noel's mind stalled, as if his very thoughts were being erased by the sword's power.
He could only watch—helpless—as the black blade of annihilation descended upon him.
Biting down hard on his tongue, the sharp pain and taste of blood snapped Noel's mind back into clarity.
His pupils instantly contracted to a single point, and the six-pointed star in his right eye began spinning wildly.
Boom!
The sky was ripped apart as the strike tore open a spatial rift dozens of meters long.
Within the rift, chaotic spatial storms surged violently, trying to escape.
However, the moment they came into contact with the gray energy outside, they were instantly erased.
If anyone else had witnessed this scene, their first reaction would have been sheer terror.
But as one of the combatants, Edolas Noel's expression darkened—because his attack had missed.
As the dust settled, Noel floated in the distance, a thin trail of blood slowly trickling down his right cheek.
However, his body remained completely unharmed.
"Why?" Edolas Noel frowned, staring intently at his opponent.
A faint smirk formed on Noel's lips as he slowly placed a hand over his right eye, the six-pointed star within shining brilliantly.
"That was really close," Noel murmured.
"But thanks to this, I managed to escape. My right eye—the Eye of Analysis."
His voice was calm yet confident.
"It holds no offensive power whatsoever. However, it allows me to analyze everything I see—the elasticity of the ground, the density of the air, the speed of wind currents, the nature of an enemy's techniques, their physical condition, even fluctuations in space and shifts in time."
His blue pupils glowed coldly as he met Edolas Noel's gaze.
"Nothing escapes its sight."
"I see." Edolas Noel's expression grew more serious as he tightened his grip on the Judgment Sword, once again gathering dark energy.
"So that means... every technique has a flaw in your eyes?" His voice carried a trace of irritation. "What a troublesome ability. But I refuse to believe your power is truly without limits."
Noel merely smiled faintly.
"Who knows?" He raised his hand, golden divine energy spiraling around his arm in brilliant, blinding light.
"I let you attack for a while just now... Now it's my turn."
"In this state, I wasn't planning on using divine magic—but it seems I can't afford to hold back anymore."
His voice resounded through the sky, filled with absolute authority.
"Divine Light Magic—Chapter Seven, Verse Six: Supreme Divine Punishment."
Boom!
A thunderous roar shook the heavens, followed by a moment of absolute silence, like the eerie calm before a world-ending catastrophe.
And then—
The dark sky erupted into blinding white light, illuminating the battlefield as if turning night into day.
From the pinnacle of the heavens, colossal pillars of divine light came crashing down—each one a spear of judgment aimed directly at Edolas Noel.
