Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s-Chapter 2005: [] Reluctant to Let Go
"This is bad." Li Xiaobing picked up where her husband left off and said to Cao Yong, "What you did has caused her to lose face at her hospital, and it’s said that she’s been suspended. Isn’t Doctor Hu going to blame you?"
After Senior Zhu and senior fellow student Li said this, Xie Wanying thought it was terrible too.
If Doctor Hu sought treatment from Senior Cao, one could only imagine how he would feel.
"You see, you weren’t thoughtful enough; you probably didn’t consider this point." Zhu Huicang said, noticing the expression on her face.
"Yingying was just thinking about curing the patient’s illness first, so she didn’t think too much." Li Xiaobing spoke up for Junior Xie Wanying again.
Now the only issue remaining was whether to help Doctor Hu’s husband introduce him to Senior Cao later.
Xie Wanying hesitated, secretly glancing at Senior Cao’s expression.
Noticing her glance, Cao Yong was surely not upset about this matter and smiled at her.
As a doctor, one must have professional ethics; what’s the use of thinking about anything else? As long as a patient seeks help, a doctor’s duty is to treat and save lives, and should not refuse.
Zhu Huicang and Li Xiaobing saw clearly that Cao Yong never intended to blame her. After all, Cao Yong would never reprimand anyone, least of all her.
Nie Jiamin and the others guessed it last night; no matter what they said in front of Cao Yong, it couldn’t compare to a word from her.
"It’s alright, let her husband come over, and we’ll take a look at the medical records." Cao Yong said warmly.
Senior Cao was professionally competent, and Xie Wanying nodded vigorously, her admiration for her senior reaching a new level internally.
Realizing that Junior Xie Wanying had again veered off in the wrong direction, Li Xiaobing suddenly found it amusing, covering her mouth with the back of her hand and laughing.
Considering practical matters for an old classmate, Zhu Huicang asked, "Where has the patient previously received treatment, and what examinations have been done? Any neurosurgical examinations?"
"This I don’t know, but I told her husband to bring the patient’s medical records for Senior Cao to review." Xie Wanying clearly stated what she knew.
"Not knowing anything, it’s difficult." Zhu Huicang said, wholly pessimistic. The biggest fear was that the family would come with high hopes, only for the patient to have a poor impression of the attending doctor, leading to uncompleted examinations, which would ultimately be in vain.
Without any data and unable to see the patient, how could doctors make judgments? Meeting with family members was just like being tongue-tied.
Hearing her senior’s statement, Xie Wanying hurriedly called Mr. Liu again, asking him to bring all the medical records and images from Doctor Hu’s previous consultations to the hospital.
Receiving the doctor’s request, Mr. Liu went to search for all his wife’s medical records and films.
"Are you going to Beidou Third Hospital today?" Li Xiaobing tugged at Junior Xie Wanying’s sleeve.
"No, I’m off today." Xie Wanying told her senior sister.
"If you have nothing to do, stay here and keep me company today." Li Xiaobing requested pitifully. It’s awfully quiet being at home alone on bed rest every day, with no one to talk to, so quiet it’s suffocating.
Cao Yong and Zhu Huicang needed to return to work at the hospital today. So once Mr. Liu brought the medical records, Xie Wanying would take the patient’s family to see Senior Cao and meanwhile stay here to chat with senior fellow student Li.
Seeing that it was about time to head to the hospital, both Zhu Huicang and Cao Yong picked up their coats and, before leaving, reminded the two: "Take your time eating, no rush."
"Got it, we’ll eat until we burst." Li Xiaobing threw her husband a meaningful look in return.
Senior fellow student Li had been influenced by Senior Zhu and had started joking. It showed that living together as a couple for a long time could significantly affect each other’s temperament.
