Heaven’s Pov

We got to our table and an announcer stepped forward and spoke loud enough for the thousands of people to hear.

"The Alphas and their mate have finally arrived! Please eat, drink and be merry, for it is a wonderful day!"

The crowd cheered and clapped, and some yelled happily. Everyone was happy and enjoying themselves, celebrating us, but they didn’t know our marriage wasn’t worth celebrating at all.

Damon came closer and put his hand on my waist while Damian took my hand and held it tightly as he directed me toward the guests, introducing me as their Luna.

Dylan and Desmond walked beside me, and when I looked at them, they gave me the most genuine smile I had ever seen on them in five years.

My heart fluttered for a while. I looked up at them and I needed to take in the moment. Because I knew that they were doing this for people to see, and I knew that everything would change when we got back to the pack.

I turned my head to the side and I saw Sofia glaring at me with so much hate; it looked like she could scratch my face at any moment. She had a glass of red wine in her hand and was sipping it aggressively, her eyes still on me. I was scared for my life.

When we were finally done greeting almost every one of the guests, my legs were hurting. I was exhausted from fake smiling for everyone to see that everything was okay. The quadruplets directed me back to our table.

The moment we were out of people’s sight, with just the quadruplets, Sofia, and Remus in sight, Damon let go of my waist so aggressively. He let go of my waist, and Damian let go of my hand instantly; they became cold.

I wasn’t expecting them to be sweet to me forever, but wow! They are two faced. The way they acted and pretended in front of the guests. They would actually think that they loved me.

Sofia’s face was already red from the wine she had been drinking to distract herself. She was swaying slightly on her feet; she was drunk. She almost tripped and fell, but Desmond caught her and rested her on his chest. She turned to him and held his face close to her face.

"Desmond, kiss me," Sofia said as she brought her lips closer to his.

Desmond pushed her back so that their lips wouldn’t touch, and I saw Sofia’s face turn a darker red from embarrassment. She looked around and realized that he wasn’t going to give her what she wanted in front of me and Remus.

"Why! You literally fucked me yesterday but now you don’t want to kiss me because people are watching?" she yelled.

Finally. Exposing herself and the quadruplets. It got the attention of the guests and they turned their heads and began pointing and whispering. Remus was standing close to us and he looked totally unfazed by what was happening. He slowly sipped his wine in amusement. He didn’t care about the quadruplets, in fact, he wanted to see them fall.

I heard stories of Remus from servants at the pack. I had heard that he became an Alpha years ago. He had been appointed as Beta first. Then the Alpha died, and he took over.

There were even rumors that he had killed the former Alpha to get the throne for himself, but seeing him now, I don’t think he had done it.

He had always hated the quadruplets because they had everything given to them because of their father, but Remus had to start from scratch to get anything.

His own father was exiled from the pack by the quadruplets’ father, his uncle, because his uncle wanted the throne for himself. Remus father had become a rogue and died a miserable death. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"I know it’s because of this bitch," Sofia yelled. Before I could react, she threw the rest of her red wine at me and it stained my dress. I was in shock; it had happened so fast. She hated me so much, and I knew it, but this was a lot for me.

The quadruplets didn’t even try to help me; instead, they gathered around Sofia to calm her down. They paid no attention to me and it was humiliating. That is what Sofia does. She steals the quadruplets’ attention and has them to herself.

A maid immediately rushed to my side and offered to take me to the bathroom to clean up, but Remus came forward.

"I’ll take care of it," Remus said and waved the maid away. He took my hand and led me towards the stairs. I looked back and the quadruplets were still concentrated on Sofia. They didn’t even realize that I was gone.

Remus led me out of the ball room to a hall, it was wide with gold gram pictures on the walls. They were portraits of past Alphas, men, they looked really scary.

I paused in front of one picture. It was different from the others. It showed a beautiful woman with a kind smile, and a young boy sitting beside her. The boy looked happy, his eyes bright with life. It was a beautiful, peaceful image.

Remus paused beside me, as he looked at the frame.

"That’s my mother and I,"Beautiful, right?" He said sweetly

I nodded slowly, she looked really beautiful. I looked at the boy in the phi and at Remus and I could see the resemblance. The looked so cute and innocent. Like he don’t already know how wicked the whold is. He didn’t know his father would be cast out or that he would have to look for means to survive to survive.

We continued to walk down the hall, I kept wondering whether the quadruplets had realized that I was gone.

I wonder if they would come looking for me. But I know that they wouldn’t. They don’t love me at all to men worried about me. The held Sofia instead of coming to me to check if I was okay. And it was in front of the guest.
