Fated to the Triplet Alphas-Chapter 86: Skye Vermillion
**************
Chapter 86
~Xade’s POV~
The Vermillion Bar was already alive when I arrived.
Music pulsed faintly through the walls as soon as I stepped out of the car, the steady rhythm blending with the low hum of conversations spilling from inside the building.
Neon lights reflected off the glossy pavement while well-dressed patrons moved in and out of the entrance like they had nowhere better to be tonight.
Normally, a place like this would have been the perfect distraction, just like in the past when I visited here.
Tonight, however, I had no interest in the atmosphere, the women, or the drinks, just business.
That was the only reason I was here.
I walked through the entrance with confidence, my expression neutral as one of the staff members immediately recognised me and approached with a respectful nod.
"Alpha Xade," he greeted.
I gave a small nod in return. "I believe I’m expected."
"Yes, sir," he replied quickly. "The client reserved the VIP room upstairs."
Without another word, he led the way through the dimly lit bar.
We passed clusters of people laughing over drinks, couples leaning close together in dark corners, and dancers moving slowly to the beat near the stage. None of it held my attention for long.
My thoughts kept threatening to drift back to Jade.
Her scent and her skin beneath my hands, the way she had looked up at me right before we were interrupted.
I forced the memories away before they could distract me again. Focus, Xade.
The staff member opened the door to the VIP room and gestured for me to enter. "This room is reserved for you and your client," he said curtly. "Drinks will be brought in shortly."
I stepped inside, and the door closed behind me.
The room was quieter than the bar outside, which made sense since it was soundproof.
Soft lighting illuminated the dark leather couches arranged around a low glass table, and a small bar sat against one wall, stocked with expensive bottles.
A waitress arrived moments later carrying a tray. "Champagne, Alpha?" she asked politely.
"Leave it."
She placed the bottle and glass on the table before quietly leaving the room.
I poured myself a drink but barely touched it, choosing instead to sit back against the couch while waiting for this mysterious client who apparently insisted on meeting me personally.
Minutes passed.
I shut out every unnecessary thought and focused on the deal ahead.
My father would not have pushed this meeting unless the business arrangement was important. Still, the delay was beginning to test my patience.
Just as I reached for my phone to check the time, the door opened. I looked up and immediately recognized the woman standing there.
The same woman who had approached me the last time I visited this bar while trying to clear my mind after thinking about Jade.
Tall, dark hair pulled into a high ponytail, but now, her hair was let down. Confidence radiated from her posture.
My brows drew together instantly as I stood. "No," I said flatly, shaking my head. "I’m not here looking for whores. This is business."
The woman smiled and her reaction irritated me immediately.
"If the client isn’t showing up," I continued coldly, "then I might as well leave instead of wasting my time being holed up here."
She laughed, clearly amused and the sound echoed through the room, though I found absolutely nothing funny about the situation.
Without another word, I turned and walked toward the door, but the moment my hand touched the handle, her voice stopped me.
"Stop."
My jaw tightened. Still, I paused and glanced over my shoulder. "Why?" I asked.
"Because," she replied calmly, "I am no whore." A brief silence followed before she added with a faint smirk. "I’m your client."
My brows creased as I slowly turned back toward her. Only then did I truly look at her.
She was dressed in an all-black ensemble that demanded attention without trying too hard.
The thin straps of her sequin gown rested delicately on her shoulders while the dress itself hugged her figure before stopping just above her knees.
A small slit on her left thigh revealed smooth skin every time she shifted her weight.
Black heels completed the outfit, adding a few inches to her already tall frame. The expensive perfume surrounding her carried a sharp, distinctive scent.
"My client?" I repeated slowly.
She stepped closer, confidence written in every movement. "My name is Skye," she said. "Skye Vermillion."
Recognition struck instantly. "Wait." I lifted my palm a bit. "Vermillion... as in Alpha Vermillion of the East Region?"
She nodded once.
"That’s the one."
Realization settled in. "So your father owns this bar?"
A small smile curved her lips as she began walking toward me. For a moment she reached toward my arm as though she intended to touch me, but before her fingers made contact she changed direction and moved toward the couch instead.
"My father doesn’t own this bar," she replied smoothly. "I do."
She sat down gracefully, crossing one leg over the other before picking up the champagne glass.
"With my power," she added, taking a slow sip, "and my sweat."
I studied her carefully for a moment. Interesting. Then I walked back toward the couch and remained standing.
"What happened?" I asked directly. "What deal are you trying to make?"
"What’s the hurry?" Skye replied lazily. Her tone carried amusement as she swirled the champagne in her glass. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
I raised a brow.
"I do not have time for games," I said firmly. "If you are here on a professional basis, then let’s get on with it."
A sultry smile appeared on her lips. "Well," she said slowly, "we could always mix business with pleasure." Her eyes drifted over me with deliberate interest. "Why are you so broody tonight, Alpha Xade?"
"It’s nothing."
She laughed softly. "To me it is something," she replied. "Especially when you get a girl extremely wet and needy for you... and then leave her hanging."
Her words made my jaw tighten slightly.
"You did not even let her finish," she continued teasingly. "You just walked away."
"So this meeting is about revenge?" I asked calmly, sliding one hand into my trouser pocket.
"Not exactly." She leaned back against the couch, studying me carefully. "It’s more like both," she admitted. "But I made sure you were the right Alpha Triplet I wanted to approach for this deal."
"And why is that?"
"Because I like you," she answered simply. Her gaze darkened with clear intent. "And I want you to finish what you started."
Something dangerous flickered in my expression as I watched her closely. Skye noticed.
She bit her lower lip slowly before letting one strap of her gown slide down her arm, exposing more of her cleavage.
Then she stood.
Without breaking eye contact, she reached behind her back and slowly pulled the zipper of her gown downward.
The fabric loosened, and a second later, the dress slipped from her body and fell to the floor.
She stood there completely bare, her posture confident as she widened her legs slightly in open invitation.
Her voice came out in a low, sultry tone that could make men bend. "What I want is simple, Xade." Her eyes locked onto mine. "I want the rumoured bad Playboy with all the BDSM kinks... to fuck me undone."
