First Demonic Dragon-Chapter 678: You Are Safe.
Seras and Lillian appeared in their bedroom back at home as if they'd never left.
Everything was just as she'd envisioned it, from the neat way the bed was made, to the lingering scent of Eris' favorite candle.
Being home had never felt so reassuring and nerve wracking at the same time.
"Feeling better? Isn't it nice to be back home?"
Lillian was a radiant orange ball of sunlight and cheerfulness that was almost blinding.
And though Seras might've given her grief for it in her younger years, as she had grown older she developed an appreciation for such a demeanor.
It made the day in front of her seem much less frightening.
"I-I guess I feel-"
Before Seras could confess her lingering worries and anxiety, the very source of them appeared in the room in front of her.
Somehow, Abaddon was even more handsome than the last time she'd seen him.
But then again, she thought that everytime that they reunited after a lengthy time apart.
She never noticed it before, but at a certain point she stopped seeing the embodiment of sexuality and began to see only her husband.
The compassionate, gentle, and considerate man who had only ever wanted the best for her, and loved her tirelessly despite every headache she dropped into his lap.
At the sight of him, Seras felt her eyes begin to water.
"I-I'm s-"
Abaddon wrapped his arms around Seras so snuggly that their scales would forever be imprinted on each other.
"I don't need you to apologize to me for trying to take care of yourself. I just need you to uphold your vows and let me take care of you as well."
If anyone asked Seras what happened that day, she would probably scream that it was none of your business and then grind you up so finely that you were indistinguishable from chorizo.
However, if you were to ask Abaddon, he would smile fondly no matter the circumstance. And he would tell you about the day where the most stubborn of his wives fully trusted herself into his care.
Aside from his wedding day and the birth of his first child, this would be remembered as one of the most significant moments of his life.
-
The expression 'glued together' doesn't begin to describe the group of lovers once Seras came home.
She quite literally did everything with them that she possibly could.
If one of them got up to go and use the bathroom, Seras followed behind like a little duckling.
Bekka went to get a couple of things out of the fridge and Seras tagged right along with her- hand in hand.
But regardless of the length of the errand, they always ended up right back in bed with everyone else.
Seras would crawl on top of her husband and listen to the sound of the immense magic swirling through his body.
All around her, the girls would place their hands on each other in some manner or fashion and they would all sit in silence together.
It wasn't an intentional silent treatment or anything of that nature.
Seras had already gotten off her chest everything that she wished to say.
She cried, apologized, cried again, and apologized more.
And what made the moment the most memorable was the feeling of safety she felt in confessing such vulnerabilities.
She never would have imagined that the experience felt just as freeing as flying through the sky.
And now, after hours of conversation, Seras was all out of tears to shed and things to say. For now, they were just glad to be back in each other's company again.
"…I kicked a lot of ass while I was gone." She confessed.
"I'm sure you did, my darling." Abaddon replied as he traced the patterns of scaly skin along her back.
"O-Oh, that reminds me…"
Seras suddenly sat up atop her husband and pulled out two unique items.
One was a flower that looked like it'd been dipped in gold, the other was a brightly colored soul.
"I brought you these… as an apology for being so difficult."
"Why didn't we get any gifts??" Valerie complained.
"Can you not be patient?"
"Maybe, maybe not."
Seras rolled her eyes and handed her husband the soul first.
Even before he held it Abaddon could already sense the great and unique power inside.
Only Seras would think to try and make the strongest creature in the multiverse even stronger, and yet Abaddon could not help but adore her for it.
Once he ingested the remenant power of the god of severance, his eyes fell on the outstretched flower in front of him.
"…Shouldn't this be the other way around?"
Seras looked unamused.
"Don't try to be funny, just hold onto it." She demanded.
Abaddon shrugged and took the flower by the stem.
Not seconds after he took it, he heard soft, intimate words echo in his mind. Whispering the kind of phrases that were his alone to know.
Most would see Abaddon as this unreachable, unmovable man who's heart could be pierced by neither steel nor beauty.
But sincerity and compliments from specific people were always enough to ward off his natural defenses.
Even though he'd developed an excellent poker face, it was no use keeping it up in front of Seras.
"There's the look I wanted to see." Seras smiled happily. freewebnσvel.cѳm
"Y-You are quite the shrewd schemer.." Abaddon was avoiding his wife's gaze by any means possible so that she would not gain any more enjoyment from this.
Also so that he would not jump on her.
While she laughed, she turned to the rest of her sisters.
"Now, since you were all soo patient…"
Seras brought out ten more distinctive souls; each containing a foreign divinity.
The group were quite honestly shocked.
Seras was a terrible gift-giver; with her usual style of choice being a crudely made craft art, a random item originally procured from the store, or just a newer, spicier variety of sex… okay, so it wasn't all bad.
But still, this new level of thoughtfulness was quite a step above for her.
"I have some things I need to give our children and I need to apologize to my parents as well… will you all come with me?"
Despite the good mood in the atmosphere just a few seconds ago, everyone suddenly became a bit anxious in their seats.
This unsurprisingly seemed to make Seras rather nervous as well.
"Why do you all look like that..? Where are my parents??"
With some difficulty, Abaddon lifted himself out of bed and carried her towards the door.
"Come along, I'll take you to them. Just… try not to be upset with them, yea?"
Seras nodded weakly and together the two of them exited the house entirely.
