First Primordial Dragon: I summoned The Strongest From The Start!-Chapter 30: A Clash
After stepping out of the secret realm, Ash tilted his head to the right and smiled. "Xue Ying, how’s the overall situation?"
"Everything is proceeding according to plan," Xue Ying answered, gliding from the house’s shadow as if she’d been part of it.
"That’s good." Ash nodded, then flicked a look at Aetherion. "What are we waiting for?"
"Say less." Aetherion sneered and tore open space with a lazy wave of his hand.
...
A vast grassland stretched to the horizon, packed with thousands of people—more than ninety percent of them young men hungry for glory. The instant a spatial crack split the air, the stronger cultivators snapped their gazes toward it.
Li Jian was the one who came out first, followed by Xue Ying and Ash, then Aetherion, before the spatial crack immediately vanished the moment Aetherion stepped out of the spatial crack.
Ash looked around and was surprised when he found that there was a sea of people around him.
"Sir, you’ve finally arrived." The ancestor of the Bai family walked over with some people, including the patriarch that Ash had met a few times.
"Who hasn’t shown up yet?" Ash raised an eyebrow.
"Only three parties," The ancestor of the Bai family replied with a smile.
He paused for a second, then continued. "They could be said to be the three strongest factions on this continent since their higher-ups’ factions on the main continent are top third-rate factions."
’Top third-rate factions? So, they might have a half-emperor powerhouse in their factions.’ Ash raised an eyebrow and thought to himself.
The top third-rate faction was mostly being led by a Peak-level Saint Monarch rank, but some of them did have a Half Emperor rank.
The Saint Ranks were divided into six ranks and two major ranks.
The first major ranks were Half Saint, Saint, and Great Saint.
The second major ranks were Holy Saint, Saint King, and Saint Monarch.
The rank order from the lowest to highest was Half Saint, Saint, Great Saint, Holy Saint, Saint King, and Saint Monarch.
"My Lord, do you want me to bring them here so they don’t waste your time?" Xue Ying asked, eyes flashing with a cold edge.
"There’s no need to do that, let’s just wait and see what happens." Ash waved his hand nonchalantly.
A few minutes later...
"They’re finally here." Aetherion chuckled as he leaned on a tree and crossed his arms leisurely.
"Bai Yuchen, why don’t we bet on who gathers the most treasures? Loser hands everything to the winner!" A laugh rang out nearby, one filled with scorn and mockery.
Ash raised an eyebrow and looked towards the source of the voice, intending to see who it was that was acting quite bravely to make such a bet.
A bulky young man in golden royal attire walked over with some people that mostly were young people. Although he was smiling kindly, anyone who’s not stupid could see the disdain in his eyes, as if he would definitely win the bet.
"Sir, that’s Leionis Valenheart, the crown prince of the Golden Lion Empire." The ancestor of the Bai family said.
He then continued, "Among the younger generation—"
Before he could finish his sentence, Ash interrupted him with a wave of his hand. "No need to tell the details about such things."
"Leon, I haven’t seen you for a few months, but you still like showing off in front of everyone when you’re only just like that. Are you sure you want to do that?" A mocking voice sounded from the opposite direction of the bulky man.
A young man with long floating hair in white robes also walked over with some people.
"He’s Bai Yuchen, Young Sect Master of the Stormcloud Sect." The ancestor of the Bai family smiled.
"Why don’t you guys include us in this fun?" A young man with red hair walked over with a girl with long silver hair.
"Why is it that the first thing you do after meeting is to go against each other?" the silver-haired girl laughed.
"These two are Kael and Elira of Evergreen Academy," the ancestor of the Bai family explained again.
"I was wondering who it was, turns out it was the duo bitch who can’t do anything on their own." Leonis sneered.
"What did you just say?! Say that again!" Kael shouted in anger as he enveloped his fists with flames.
"Say what? The fact that you’re a duo bitch who can’t do anything on their own?" Leonis shrugged with a mocking expression.
Kael clenched his fists, creating more flames on his fists. "You bast—"
Before Kael could attack, Elira stepped in and tapped his shoulder. "Stop. Don’t let him bait you."
Kael took a long, deep breath, then diminished the flames on his fists as he spat spitefully.
"Got a mirror? What can you do without your cowardly lion?"
"WHAT?!" Leonis was furious and immediately summoned his contracted beast.
A fire lion that was about 3 meters tall with a shoulder height of about 2.3 meters and 4 meters long appeared beside Leonis. It resembled a normal lion, except for its larger size and that it had flames burning on its legs and tail.
"I dare you to say that again right in front of my face." Leonis said with an enraged expression as he walked over with the lion slowly.
Naturally Kael wasn’t someone to back down since he also walked over, while enveloping his whole hands with flames this time.
Before it escalated further, the middle-aged men from both sides stopped Leonis and Kael.
"Leonis, enough," said the man in attire matching Leonis’s imperial gold. "Settle it in the secret realm. Not here."
"You too, Kael," the Evergreen Academy elder chuckled. "Whatever happens inside won’t be held against anyone outside."
Both sides instantly stopped, staring at each other for a moment before calming themselves down and walking back to their groups.
Suddenly the surroundings went silent, as everyone had expected that the two of them would fight since this kind of scene had happened a few times in the past.
"Tch. That’s it? I thought you were going to make it entertaining." Ash clicked his tongue and ridiculed them.
Everyone immediately shifted their attention to Ash, thinking about which person dared to mock people from the top three strongest factions in the Mossvale Continent.
"Who are you?! Who gives you the guts to say that?" Leonis frowned deeply when he heard Ash’s words.
"Who am I? You’re not qualified to know my name." Ash shrugged with a mocking expression, then sneered. "As for who gives me the guts? Simple—I’m stronger than you."
"You? Stronger than me? With that puny, low-level Diamond rank?" Leonis laughed out loud as he thought that Ash was an insane person.
"So what if I’m still at the low-level Diamond rank? It’s more than enough if my opponent is just you anyway." Ash chuckled in response.
Before Leonis got triggered by Ash’s words, the middle-aged man who had reminded him before spoke softly with a serious expression. "Leon, he’s that person."
Leonis furrowed deeply and shut himself up since he knew that Ash wasn’t someone he could mess with so casually.
