“Don’t be scared, I won’t do anything to you.”

The teasing smile on Mo Xiuchen’s face remained unchanged. His low and sultry voice sent her heartbeat into a frenzy.

Reassured by his words, Wen Ran let go of the tension in her hands.

After a moment of silence, she sighed and agreed softly, “Alright, I’ll stay with you, but let me go first.”

He let her go, them lying side by side. Simultaneously, he turned too, holding her tightly to him.

She would have stayed even longer if not for her need to go to the bathroom. After she told him, he woke up from his sleep, although he might have continued to sleep if not disturbed.

His sleepy eyes opened and saw his love’s knitted eyebrows. The drowsiness in his eyes disappeared at once and he asked softly, “What’s wrong, Ranran?”

“Please let go of me, I need to use the bathroom.”

Realising the source of her discomfort, Mo Xiuchen relaxed his hold and let go of her, a flash of apology in his eyes. With a joyful tone he asked, “Ranran, did you stay with me the whole time?”
