Chapter 779: Chapter 778: Providing Information about the Villain

It seemed like she didn’t need to worry about anything, yet she clearly had something on her mind. Perhaps everyone has secrets.

Aldy Mitchell found it hard to press the issue. He could only watch her, pondering it slowly in his heart.

This younger brother of hers, Aldy, despite being only a high school senior, appeared to have matured considerably, carrying himself like an adult.

Nia Mitchell breathed a sigh of relief, sitting by herself and gazing out the window. White clouds drifted by, a beautiful sight.

The plane was indeed fast. In just two hours, they had arrived at the First People’s Hospital of Capital Town.

The Dean personally awaited their arrival on the top floor. Among those waiting was Charles Northwood.

Charles Northwood knew Maxwell Peary would have everything arranged. Still, he couldn’t help but worry, especially about Nia Mitchell’s current emotional state, unsure if she had calmed down.

As they disembarked, medical staff wheeled the two patients away. Molly Harguez immediately followed, while Nia Mitchell remained where she was.

Gazing at Charles Northwood from afar, for a fleeting moment, she felt like a lost ship spotting a safe harbor.

"Everything’s fine now," he said, looking at her with a gentle smile, his soft voice washing over her.

Seeing him open his arms, Nia Mitchell walked over and gave him a big hug.

"No one can harm you. Rest assured."

His reassurance was like a magical anchor, instantly grounding her. She felt particularly at ease.

"Thank you."

The two didn’t linger on the rooftop for long and quickly returned to the hospital room.

The VIP Ward arranged by Maxwell Peary was quiet and well-equipped with advanced facilities.

Aldy Mitchell watched Charles Northwood, his expression unreadable.

"You’ve grown up."

Charles Northwood and Nia Mitchell had been close since high school. Naturally, he had visited her home before and knew all her family members.

"Charles has also grown up quite a bit," Mr. Mitchell said, looking at Charles Northwood with approval. He had shed his high school immaturity and now possessed the steady composure of an adult.

Watching him stand beside Nia Mitchell, Mr. Mitchell sighed inwardly. He had once thought Nia would end up with Charles; they had looked so perfect together. But, unexpectedly, Nia had married another man.

Seeing that their relationship was still good, he felt somewhat relieved. Nia Mitchell hadn’t had many friends growing up. He had always worried that she wouldn’t know how to maintain friendships and would thereby lose close friends like Charles Northwood and Fiona Sutton.

"I’ve taken care of that matter, so don’t worry," Charles said. He could tell what was worrying her just by looking at her expression.

Nia Mitchell nodded, truly relieved to hear his words.

"That’s good. I was worried because this is Capital Town, and she would have an easier time here."

Nia Mitchell stood there speaking, but the other three members of the Mitchell family didn’t understand what she was referring to.

Charles Northwood smiled and patted her shoulder reassuringly. "Relax. Like you said, this is Capital Town. You should know who calls the shots here."

It had to be said, Charles Northwood was incredibly jealous right now. He had the means to protect Nia Mitchell, but here in Capital Town... some people could protect her without needing any particular methods at all.

Hearing Charles Northwood’s words, a smile touched Nia Mitchell’s lips. How could I forget? she thought. Capital Town is Uncle Peary’s domain.

"I need to make a phone call," Nia Mitchell said with a smile, then turned and left the hospital room.

Upon landing, she had yet to inform a certain Peary.
