Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 989: Collecting the Dismissal Notice Tomorrow
Jasper Sinclair arrived at the research lab two hours later.
Professor Bishop had received a notification in advance and was waiting in the lab for him.
Upon seeing him again, Professor Bishop’s face looked noticeably different from before, with more gray hair.
Endless days and nights of research had drained much of his energy, yielding only minimal results.
He seemed to have lost the dignified aura of a professor, resembling more of a haggard old man.
Jasper Sinclair sat opposite him and spoke first, "We’ve obtained the antidote for His9, but further confirmation is needed."
Over the phone, Jasper had not mentioned the antidote in advance, leaving Professor Bishop doubting his own ears.
Could someone possibly be faster than him?
In contrast to Professor Bishop’s reaction, Jasper appeared much more indifferent.
After all... he had already been overjoyed about this for a whole day and night.
"We can verify it right now, coincidentally, I also want to see what differences there are compared to my formula."
Professor Bishop had a faint expectation, waiting for Jasper to hand over the antidote formula.
However, what he received was a reagent bottle the size of a palm.
His wrinkled hand paused mid-air and then, with a slightly intense tone, asked, "Is there only the antidote, without the formula?"
"There’s no formula for now, just take the antidote for testing."
Having accepted money to do a job, Professor Bishop could only comply without further comment.
Just then, a new problem arose.
"Mr. Sinclair, apart from this bottle, is there any spare?"
"No."
Professor Bishop was troubled, "This bottle will be used for testing, and won’t be recoverable afterward."
At those words, Jasper’s face darkened instantly.
No one had told him that!
He coldly countered, "Can you confirm the components with just one-third of it?"
"It’s probably possible."
"’Probably’ isn’t good enough for me."
Professor Bishop continued reluctantly, "We can confirm, but... the reagent has a certain dosage. If the final amount is insufficient, it might still fail to serve its original purpose."
Jasper restrained his urge to punch the lab table and began thinking of other solutions.
The first person he thought of was Damien.
Hence, he made an international call.
"Tina, I have a business trip assignment for you. Ensure Damien is safely brought to Stanton City."
Tina was puzzled as to why her boss had changed his mind so quickly in such a short time.
Instinctively resistant towards Damien, for the first time, she opposed Jasper Sinclair’s orders.
"Director Sinclair, based on my observation of Damien in the hospital yesterday, I fear her current health condition may not be suitable for prolonged high-altitude flights."
Unaware, Tina had hit a nerve.
Jasper coldly questioned, "Since when did you start practicing medicine?"
Tina paused for a second before realizing the implication in his words.
"My apologies, Director Sinclair."
"Report to HR tomorrow to collect your dismissal notice."
After saying this, Jasper gave Tina no chance to argue before curtly hanging up the call.
Thousands of kilometers away, Tina was full of regret.
How could she have let a couple of extra days off given by her boss lead to such different thoughts...?
Tina now wished she could bite her own tongue, seeking a chance to make amends.
However, upon arriving at the hospital, she found that Damien had already been picked up by someone else.
