Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 995: Professor Sinclair and Grandpa Sinclair Are the Same Person
From the lobby to the elevator area, Nora Northwood received quite a few greetings.
Only a small number of people knew she was pregnant, so no one made a fuss.
As she walked over, Nora found that Lily Sloan and Yvonne Winslow were both absent, and even Megan Underwood was nowhere to be seen.
She randomly grabbed a secretary from the forty-third floor, "Where’s Assistant Winslow?"
"In the meeting room on the sixteenth floor, taking care of the partnership with the flower garden."
Nora recalled the team from the flower garden; the team leader was a gray-haired professor with the same surname as Jasper Sinclair.
"How long have they been inside?"
"The meeting started at nine o’clock, and now it’s been exactly an hour and a half."
"Got it, go ahead with your work."
As the secretary left, Nora led Jasper Sinclair back into the elevator area.
The red numbers on the display screen slowly descended, and with a "ding," the two doors opened smoothly.
Leading the group was Megan Underwood, followed by Professor Sinclair, Yvonne Winslow, Lily Sloan, and others.
The group ran into each other right at the elevator entrance.
Jasper Sinclair was the first to react; as the elevator doors were about to close, he pressed the button at the lower left corner.
"Grandpa."
He respectfully called out.
This time, it was Nora’s turn to be stupefied; her mind went blank for a moment.
Her business partner was Jasper Sinclair’s grandpa?
Also her grandpa?
To avoid being rude in front of everyone, she mimicked Jasper Sinclair’s tone and also called him grandpa.
Looking back, Lily Sloan’s eyes were wide open.
This turn of events was truly too sudden.
Although the old man’s face was full of wrinkles, his aura was still present.
While everyone was in a state of confusion, Grandpa Sinclair spoke, "Let’s have a casual lunch together."
Clearly, these words were directed at Jasper Sinclair.
It wasn’t a tone of negotiation; it was a direct notification, and the latter could only accept.
Lily Sloan’s eyes were the roundest and she reacted the fastest!
"Professor Sinclair, the field survey work requires forty minutes, should we take a break or continue the survey?"
"Continue," replied Grandpa Sinclair with a businesslike tone.
"I’ll book the restaurant, the driver will be waiting downstairs for you, see you later."
The two groups went in different directions, and it wasn’t until the cold wind from outside blew against Nora’s face that she began to breathe slightly.
"Is this professor Grandpa Sinclair?"
"You didn’t know?"
Nora still couldn’t believe it; what a marvelous coincidence!
Nora married into the Sinclair Family for three years but had never met Grandpa Sinclair, nor had she heard much about him.
No one had ever mentioned him to her, not even Jasper Sinclair.
In the first year or so, Nora thought Grandpa Sinclair had passed away, which was why no one mentioned him.
Until one family banquet, she heard people from the second branch mention Grandpa Sinclair and realized the elderly gentleman was alive.
During that family banquet, because of Grandpa Sinclair’s mention, the atmosphere became much more subtle.
Every family has its difficulties, and from then on, Nora never took the initiative to ask about Grandpa Sinclair’s matters.
Unexpectedly, she encountered him by sheer luck.
On the way to the restaurant, she faced Jasper Sinclair and voiced the question that had been lingering in her heart.
"Jasper, I have a question; it might be a bit abrupt."
"What’s your question?"
"Why is Grandpa Sinclair rarely mentioned?"
