Floating Island - Triple S Talent-Chapter 431: Remaining energy is only 2%
Void Swarm remained standing with a cold expression, as if the explosion meant nothing to it. The monster turned, intending to return to its group. However, before it could take another step—

A black sword pierced through its back, striking directly at its heart. Lein appeared behind it with sharp eyes, his hand gripping the sword’s hilt tightly as it remained embedded in the Void Swarm’s body. Black blood flowed, faintly glowing under the cosmic sky.

Lein pulled his sword out with a swift motion, then observed the notification that appeared in his vision. "So, Aleron was right," he murmured.
Aleron had once told him that after reaching level 350, no more items or EXP bottles could help increase his level. The only way to level up was to fight cosmic monsters directly.
Before level 350, EXP bottles were still functional. But after surpassing that limit, they became useless. Now, after engaging in battle with a cosmic monster, Lein finally understood why—only by facing them head-on could his body evolve, and his understanding of energy gradually improve.
"Alright… let’s keep going," he said casually.
He didn’t want to be left behind. Lein activated his sword duplication ability, and in an instant, billions of golden and black swords filled the sky.
The swords floated, moving like an army awaiting orders. Their sheer number was so overwhelming that it caught the attention of Veyron and his comrades, who were fighting in the distance. However, it wasn’t the power of the swords that shocked them—it was the absurd quantity.
Aleron and Tauriel instinctively halted their movements. Tauriel stepped closer to Aleron, a bewildered expression clear on her face.
"What is Lord Lein doing? Is this his new power?" she asked in astonishment.
Tauriel had seen Lein control swords before, but never this many. The number… was in the billions.
"I have no idea…" Aleron gazed at the sky, his eyes gleaming. "Maybe he just wants to show off," he added with a hint of amusement. But deep down, his resolve to assist Lein grew even stronger.
Aleron suddenly swung his hand. His feather shot into the void, piercing through the emptiness before striking a giant insect-like cosmic monster. The monster’s energy shield barely lasted a moment before shattering completely under the attack.
Meanwhile, Lein started moving all his swords with a simple command. Some swords passively spun around him, forming a natural defense, while the majority shot forward, targeting the surrounding cosmic monsters.
Lein observed carefully. His swords did not trigger the monsters’ energy absorption defenses.
"Penetrating their defenses?" he muttered.
He recalled his previous battle. Energy-based attacks were always absorbed by their shields—even the passive skill of his core crystal couldn’t break through. But this time, his attacks were successful.
"Is it because this doesn’t count as a skill?" Lein thought hard. Pure physical attacks without energy seemed to be their weakness.
"I’ll have to ask Aleron later," he said, setting the thought aside for now.
With a single motion, billions of his swords surged forward simultaneously, striking the hordes of lesser cosmic monsters surrounding the colossal Dragonfly.
The battle had only just begun.
Veyron stood atop his thunder dragon, staring at Lein with sharp, disbelieving eyes. "How is that man able to summon that many swords?" he muttered, his brows furrowing deeply.
The longer he watched, the more his mind grew restless with unanswerable questions. "This makes no sense… How could Cosmos Origin, a backward universe, produce Lords?" he murmured, his voice nearly drowned out by the roaring battlefield.
Suddenly—
Flash!
Veyron’s thoughts shattered. A chilling aura enveloped him instantly, his battle instincts screaming warnings of danger. In a fraction of a second, he sensed a dark attack hurtling toward him at a speed impossible to evade.
A thick black beam engulfed the space, carrying a dense force of law. Veyron felt the overwhelming pressure crushing down on him, nearly breaking his defenses. "Damn it… he’s restoring his energy again!" he cursed inwardly, his eyes widening.
Without hesitation, the thunder dragon beneath him opened its mouth wide. An energy sphere began forming at its maw, gathering wild streaks of lightning that crackled violently around it. Floating inscriptions of law swirled around the sphere, shaping an ever-growing vortex of compressed power.
"Release," Veyron muttered grimly, his eyes locked onto the colossal Dragonfly spinning in the distance.

From afar, one of his comrades shouted, his voice filled with urgency. "Captain Veyron! Our energy is almost depleted!"
Veyron gritted his teeth, then in an instant, his body vanished from the thunder dragon, reappearing aboard his space warship. The atmosphere inside was tense and heavy.
"Our remaining energy is only 2%," a crew member reported swiftly. "That mad Dragonfly’s main attack drained 12% of our shields instantly!"
"Shit…" Veyron clenched his fist.
One of his allies, a man in a black robe with purple accents, regarded him with a calm expression. "It’s time to retreat," he said coldly.
Veyron didn’t answer immediately. His eyes locked onto the man. "Hagar, how many energy stones do you have left?" he asked, hoping his comrade still had enough reserves to last longer.
Hagar exhaled slowly. "Around two thousand mid-grade energy stones," he answered heavily. Although they were a team, those energy stones were his personal stash.
"Use them all," Veyron ordered firmly. "I’ll compensate you when we return."
Hagar stared at him, his expression filled with contemplation. After a few seconds, he shook his head slightly. "I can only give a thousand," he said before vanishing, immediately refueling the ship’s energy without waiting for permission.
Veyron fell silent. His gaze was empty, his mind in turmoil. He glanced once more at the colossal Dragonfly in the distance, his body trembling with suppressed emotions. "Damn it… why is this so difficult? If I can’t gain more, then at the very least, I have to hold my position," he muttered, clenching his fists tightly.
His eyes then shifted to Aleron and the others. For a brief moment, a desire flickered in his mind, but he quickly dismissed it. "No… there’s no way. Low-level fighters like them couldn’t possibly have a large number of Energy Stones. Even if they do, it would be insignificant," he murmured, his voice nearly lost in the despair consuming him.
