Forbidden Game: Ruthless CEO, Please Set Me Free-Chapter 784 - 793 Farewell in Death (2)
"Mmm mmm..."
Qiao Mo wanted to say something, but her mouth was taped shut tightly, leaving her no choice but to give up.
Her heart was pounding fiercely, as if she were about to have a heart attack.
Adding to this, she’d been feeling unwell for several days, her whole body weak and limp, nearly vomiting from the jostling.
Her captor released her and stomped hard on her calf, seemingly to prevent her from moving or making a sound.
Qiao Mo let out a muffled groan, a layer of cold sweat formed on her forehead, forcing herself to remain calm.
Given the current situation, escaping seemed utterly impossible.
But who were these people?
Was this a kidnapping?
But why kidnap her?
Were they sent by Qiao Yun and her mother, or by families affected by that accident eight years ago?
And what was their purpose?
The vehicle jolted for a long time, Qiao Mo constantly thinking of a way to escape.
Unfortunately, she lacked any professional training, and in nearly an hour, she hadn’t even managed to fray the ropes against the floorboards.
After about an hour or so, the car slowly came to a stop.
Once it was steady, the door was opened.
From the sound of it, Qiao Mo judged it to be a van, with several seats removed, leaving her previously thrown onto the vehicle’s floor.
A man was the first to step down, then roughly yanked Qiao Mo, dragging her out of the car.
As her skin scraped against the edge of the car door and the ground, a burning pain ensued, and Qiao Mo gritted her teeth, staying silent.
After all, she doubted these people were the merciful kind; the quieter she was, the less she’d suffer.
Once on the ground, someone untied the rope around her feet.
She wobbled as they forced her to stand.
Before she could steady herself, a huge shove from behind sent her stumbling.
"Move it! What are you standing there for!"
In the darkness, Qiao Mo found it hard to discern directions, let alone maintain balance; each time she steadied herself, she was pushed to move forward in a certain direction.
"This way! Behave yourself!"
The man’s voice echoed as Qiao Mo, her eyes covered, determined they were likely in an abandoned factory.
A few minutes later, Qiao Mo bumped into a pillar, a pair of heavy hands landing on her shoulders, turning her around, then a rope binding her to a cold, cylindrical column.
"You better behave and don’t try anything funny! Or don’t blame us for being harsh!"
A man warned in a low voice, as he yanked off the blindfold covering Qiao Mo’s eyes.
Her vision was initially blurry but gradually became clear.
The tape over her mouth wasn’t removed, so Qiao Mo remained silent, quietly observing them.
There were five kidnappers in total; two patrolled crosswise six or seven meters away from her, each holding a long gun.
Two others sat on a few worn-out chairs not far from her, with several silver cases between them, containing some electronic equipment she couldn’t quite understand; one of them was adjusting a device, its purpose unknown.
The last man stood directly in front of her, watching her with a cold, wary gaze.
Qiao Mo made no sound, noticing that the men all wore black masks, revealing only their eyes and noses, making their features indistinguishable.
She glanced at their waists, spotting a bulge in their waistbands, likely handguns.
Qiao Mo’s heart sank further, quickly speculating about these people’s backgrounds and intentions.
Soon enough, she had some guesses in her mind.
