Chapter 1632: Chapter 1193: Is There a Ship inside Attacking Me?
"I should be asking you! I painstakingly raised nearly ten million intelligent beings, and now you’re telling me there are only two million left? Where did the rest go? Did you secretly stash them away?" The Star Progeny Master questioned angrily.
Even though he rarely entered the Origin World, and it was mostly South Coronet managing the breeding efforts, the God Star was unaware that all the intelligent life he raised had been killed off. And now, he questions the numbers? Did someone pocket the difference?
"And what about my Clan? Did you burn even my Clan to ashes?" The Star Progeny Master looked around, left and right, but didn’t see South Coronet’s figure. Unable to contain himself, he roared in rage, completely oblivious to the fact that South Coronet had already been dealt with.
As his gaze swept across, the Inner Wall of the Origin World—lands once teeming with countless life forms—was now engulfed in raging flames. The temperature had risen by at least several thousand degrees; much ground had melted, and in some places, magma was violently spewing forth.
It’s significant to note that this wasn’t a massive pressure-applied plane; there wasn’t sufficient pressure to generate magma. The only explanation was the immense heat released earlier by the God Star.
"You dare yell at me?" The consciousness of the God Star, stunned, focused its attention on the Star Progeny Master.
While this wasn’t physically palpable within the Consciousness Space, the Star Progeny Master now vividly experienced the God Star’s power. Just the mere focus of its consciousness made him feel an intense surge in temperature.
"Hmph, remember your oath." With a thought, the Star Progeny Master summoned a covenant rune onto his body, shielding himself from the God Star’s focus.
The God Star’s "gaze" instantly lost its impact.
"Hmph, your oath cannot shield you from the consequences of deceit." The God Star, seemingly eager for confrontation, realized after attempting to channel power that it indeed couldn’t strike the Star Progeny Master. Frustrated, it could only respond begrudgingly.
The Star Progeny Master finally breathed a sigh of relief. If the oath couldn’t bind the God Star, he would have been utterly powerless against it.
"No one deceived you. I don’t know exactly what transpired. But now isn’t the time for this quarrel. There are still tens of billions of intelligent beings outside waiting to be reaped. I order you: harvest all life and eliminate Ange," the Star Progeny Master stated solemnly.
The God Star’s consciousness once more locked onto the Star Progeny Master, but this time, there was no harm—just a deep, scrutinizing gaze before withdrawing.
A massive fireball suddenly contracted inward, collapsing into a pitch-black abyss in a mere instant.
The Star Progeny Master pitched forward, overwhelmed by an intense sensation of collapse, and felt himself plunging downward like sinking into quicksand.
Once the feeling of collapse receded, the Star Progeny Master turned around to inspect the scene. It only took him a moment to comprehend what had just happened.
The enormous fireball, once occupying nearly half of the Origin World’s space, had disappeared in an instant. A large piece of the world was now missing, causing the entire space to contract inward and dragging him significantly closer to its center.
The Star Progeny Master quickly retreated, distancing himself further.
He wondered whether accidental death would lead the covenant to punish the God Star. But even if it did, what good would it do? By then, he’d already be dead. Even mutual destruction with the God Star wouldn’t hold any meaningful value.
Given the sheer scale of this contraction, he decided it was best to keep his distance to prevent an untimely death.
The pitch-black Devouring Abyss paused momentarily before contracting once again, slowly transforming into the figure of a middle-aged human male—the form the God Star had adopted when its consciousness was first unleashed.
Simultaneously, the God Star’s energy level plummeted. By the time it had fully assumed its human form, its aura had diminished to the point of being indistinguishable from that of an ordinary human.
"Are you suppressing your power?" The Star Progeny Master asked in confusion. "We’re supposed to be confronting Ange. If you suppress your strength, what’s going to happen if we encounter him?"
The middle-aged man scrutinized the Star Progeny Master from head to toe, flashing a cryptic smile. "Do you know why I’ve always stayed at the edge of the Boundless Space Hole, enclosing myself within Dimensional Space?"
The Star Progeny Master shook his head.
"God Stars cannot get too close to each other. Especially if their light intersects—it will cause mutual depletion through intense consumption. But don’t worry, this form is my Primordial Body—the physical embodiment of the God Star’s Origin—and I can freely unleash suppressed power when needed," the God Star explained.
The Star Progeny Master smirked subtly, silently thinking to himself: Isn’t it more likely that you’re too old and weak, unable to endure the Sun’s radiation, and afraid of being scorched to death?
He understood perfectly why the God Star had retreated to the edge of the Boundless Space Hole and sealed itself within Dimensional Space—it was because the God Star was ancient.
While its current human guise appeared middle-aged, from the perspective of a God Star, it had entered the stage of decline, waning under the Sun’s illumination.
It was precisely this frailty that emboldened the Star Progeny Master to betray him, utilizing the Abyss Bridge to imprison his mind.
The God Star had constructed this Dimensional Space to delay its decline, hoping that nurturing intelligent life would establish a positive energy cycle and potentially reverse its deterioration. Regrettably, it hadn’t succeeded.
After imprisoning the God Star’s consciousness, the Star Progeny Master scaled up the breeding operations to extend into the Divine Light Alliance’s domain and devised an ingenious idea: if positive energy couldn’t be generated internally, why not import it from outside?
Thus, he began importing intelligent beings in droves—from hundreds of thousands, to millions, to tens of millions, and finally reaching a stable population of around one billion. With periodic replenishment, the Origin World could sustain roughly one billion intelligent beings.
This amounted to essentially leeching the positive energy increment of the Sun from the Divine Light Alliance. Over the years, this barely maintained the God Star’s state, preventing further decline.
But regardless of these efforts, the God Star was nothing more than an aging star. Merely maintaining its form was an accomplishment. It paled in comparison to the Sun of the Divine Light Alliance or the Ancient Godlight imprisoned within the Boundless Space Hole.
Still, the revelation that God Stars couldn’t approach one another was new to the Star Progeny Master.
Now, everything had been erased. Nothing remained—no God Star, no life. Only scorched lands and pitch-black Void filled the empty Origin World.
A vast rift slowly tore open, and the God Star and Star Progeny Master flew out through it, with the rift closing behind them.
The Star Progeny Master asked, "Without you inside supplying energy, won’t the Dimensional Space collapse?"
The God Star replied, "It will shrink, but once it reaches a certain extent, it will stabilize. Then, under the influence of the Power of Chaos, it will gradually move toward entropy."
"Then there’s no way around it—unless you revert to a full God Star and provide energy. Otherwise, it’ll never return to its original state, nor is there any need to. By the way, God Star is the name of your entire kind. Calling you God Star all the time is confusing. From now on, I’ll call you Origin Divine Light."
God Stars didn’t have names nor needed them, but the Star Progeny Master had now completely severed ties with the God Star. Unlike before, he couldn’t rely on telepathic communication, so a name became necessary.
Origin Divine Light replied indifferently, "Suit yourself."
With that, it tore open a Space Rift and slipped inside, but in the next moment, the rift distorted and ejected Origin Divine Light back out. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"What happened?" the Star Progeny Master quickly asked.
Origin Divine Light looked incredulous and exclaimed, "Inside... Inside there’s a ship attacking me!"
