Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 248: Confusing my opponents.
Theo’s POV:
Amelia gave me brief instructions on how I should deal with the situation. I was mind blown by the idea she gave me. This strawberry blonde-haired girl might look sweet and innocent—but she is also very intelligent.
The seashore of Selene, which is always peaceful, was in total chaos today. As I expected, the Siren Queen was already on the spot before me. She was arguing with the warriors who were already on the ship on the waters.
The ship was made up of shiny golden metal, which was blinding my eyes by illuminating the bright sun rays from above the land. I doubted if it was actually real gold. If it is so, then from where is he even looting it?
The Celestial realm has more crystals—but gold is moderate here. In the Shadow Realm, it is just the opposite. Golden rocks are found more in there as their lands are very close to the abyss of torment. Do I smell something here? I should find out about this soon!
I went closer to the waters and stood beside Cynthia. Now that I was so close to the enormous ship, I had to twist my neck up to see the warriors who were standing up there.
I expected the royal slave Edwin to be present there, but he wasn’t. I chuckled to see that Vivian was the one who was leading the troops. He might be strong—but he has no intelligence. I can fool him easily!
"Warriors," Cynthia shouted at them. "You can’t show up to our land and terrorize us. We Siren girls are in no way related to the battle that happened in the Lowland woods."
"We are not here to fight with the Siren girls either! We want our prince to be released. Once our demand is fulfilled, then we will be on our way back to our lands," Vivian replied.
He seems so stubborn! Now it is time to implement the strategy of Amelia. I clapped my hands together and directed the attention of all the warriors towards me.
"My dear rivals," I said in a warning tone. "We don’t always have to fight! We can sort out this in a way by which no one will get hurt—"
"So, are you agreeing to release our prince?" Vivian asked me eagerly.
"Yes, I will," I smirked. "But I have a demand too. Once my demand is fulfilled, then I will release the prince immediately. So do you all agree to fulfill my only demand? And I promise that my only demand is not very hard to fulfill—"
Vivian held the railing of the ship and thought for a while. Then he said, "Okay, tell me what is your demand is—"
"Warrior Vivian....," I called him out. "I am afraid that I can’t say that to you until you promise me that you will fulfill my demand without fail."
Vivian got confused. "But how can I make a promise without knowing what your demand is? That is impossible!"
I moved even a little closer to the waters that my feet got completely submerged with the sea waves, which were drifting back and forth dynamically from the sea to land.
"My dear warriors," I said and glanced up at the fifty golden armored men on the ship. "If you all don’t agree with my demand, then I am afraid that... I can’t agree with yours too! So are you all ready to battle with the Anti-Angel?"
All the warriors immediately turned pale while I was laughing internally. I don’t know what these warriors were thinking in their minds before they came here. They are too scared to battle with me, and they think that I will release Darius just like that?!
No one had the strength even to look me in my eye, including Vivian. So I successfully scared my rivals! Now my next step is to confuse them even more.
"Listen to me, warriors! I have a better offer for you all! Since you are all too scared to battle with me, you can try agreeing to my demand. This way, none of you will get hurt, and also, I will release your Prince. Choose wisely—"
All the warriors gathered together, and they started quarreling among themselves. I smiled to myself and watched the scene. Some of them were against me, but most of them insisted that they should accept my offer.
"But we don’t even know what the hell he is going to demand," Vivian shouted out so loud that even I was able to hear him out even though I was not on the ship with them. "If he demands something controversial, then we won’t be able to fulfill it—"
"So are you saying that we have to lose our lives by fighting with that brutal Anti-Angel?" one of the warriors shouted.
"Yes! I don’t want to die today. If there is a way to rescue our prince without any bloodshed, then we should take it," another warrior said. He seems wise to me, unlike Vivian.
"Okay, guys! Let us accept the offer," Vivian said finally in a frustration-filled tone.
Then Vivian moved closer to the railing of the ship and looked down at me. "We have decided to agree with your demands. But in return, you should release the Prince just like you promised—"
"I swear that I will release the Prince! Now I want you to swear that you will fulfill my demand without fail."
"I swear too," Vivian said. "Now tell me, what is your demand?"
Finally, he has fallen into my trap. I wasn’t able to restrain myself from smirking at him.
"The Dawn belongs to me! If you give me the Dawn, then I will release the prince in a blink of an eye—"
Vivian was stunned. Then he turned to his fellow warriors and yelled, "I told you that he would demand anything! You all didn’t listen to me. How can we give up the Dawn to this trickster?!"
"You have to fulfill my demand, Vivian," I chuckled. "You made a promise to me, and you are obligated to fulfill it—"
