Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime-Chapter 970 Story Time_1
Chapter 970: Chapter 970 Story Time_1
A group of people ate and drank until past six, when the sky was still light, so they gathered in the living room to chat and pass the time.
Gerald suggested playing cards, but Zara wasn’t familiar with card games, and Purple played them quite poorly. Jane proposed telling stories to liven up the mood.
At Gerald’s exclamation of boredom, "We’re not children having a fairy tale party!"
"Can you outplay her husband at cards?" Jane pointed directly at Alexander, then tossed the dice in her hand, saying, "Look, we take turns throwing dice. Whoever gets the lowest score gets penalized! Either drink a penalty or tell a funny story! How about it?"
Gerald, hearing the drinking penalty, felt it was a bit more interesting.
Then, Jane mixed beer into half a bottle of red wine, along with orange juice, vinegar, mustard sauce, and chili powder!
Gerald was horrified, "Is this a penalty drink? This is more like poison!" freёweɓnovel_com
"Eh, second young master hasn’t played this before?" Jane looked at him in surprise. "This is nothing. In the past, we’d even mix in laundry detergent, a total of eight different condiments, we called it ’Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea.’"
Jane grew up in the modeling industry with her mother, attending all sorts of parties, and she was incredibly outgoing. She had tried almost every prank game.
Gerald was speechless, but thinking that with so many people, it was unlikely for him to be the unlucky one who rolls the smallest number, he stopped objecting.
Jane mixed a drink with gusto, calling it "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea," and placed it firmly in the center of the coffee table.
"How about it? Who’s going first?" She looked around at everyone, excited as if ready to throw punches.
Alexander picked up the three dice on the coffee table, "I’ll go first."
He then rolled three sixes.
Everyone: "..."
Alexander looked at Purple, "Shall I roll for you?"
Before Purple could respond, everyone shouted in unison: "No!!!"
"It’s no fun if everyone rolls sixes!" Jane immediately snatched the dice and put them into Purple’s hands.
Purple smiled and tossed the dice, rolling four and two fives –not a small score.
Then, one after another, everyone took their turns rolling the dice. Surprisingly, it ended up being Jane with the lowest score.
Gerald looked on with schadenfreude, "Going to drink ’Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea’?"
"What’s the rush?" Jane gave him a glare, "I choose to tell a story! Listen up, listen up! Once, a girl asked a boy, ’When busty girls cry, their tears fall onto their chest. When flat-chested girls cry, their tears fall onto their feet. Where do you think my tears fall when I cry?’—"
Jane giggled, deliberately pausing and looking around at everyone before continuing, "The boy said, ’Your face is so big, the tears will dry up before they even fall! Hahahahaha!!!...’"
She laughed so hard she could barely stay upright. When she looked up again, she found everyone staring blankly at her.
Jane felt awkward and wiped the tears from the corner of her eye, "What’s the matter? Isn’t it funny?"
Gerald’s mouth twitched, "That counts?"
"Of course, it counts! A joke is also a kind of story!" Jane pouted, feeling a bit frustrated that she hadn’t heated up the atmosphere.
She threw the dice back on the table, "Come on, let’s continue!"
The person with the lowest score the second time was Aria.
Aria had a rather aloof personality and an unassuming manner about her that resembled men. She wasn’t as lively as Jane, not adept at telling stories or jokes. When she saw her lowest score, she picked up the glass with poise, ready to drink it all in one go!
Everyone widened their eyes, staring at her, curious to see Aria’s expression after drinking.
Aria didn’t really care about the drink. She had had her share of nasty stuff, but as she brought the glass to her nose, that indescribable pungent smell hit her—
Aria: "..."
"Let me tell you a story," Aria said, her face expressionless as she put the glass back down, "about that catfish mutilation case."
Everyone: "..."
