From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals-Chapter 576: Package Build
JJ frowned, confusion creeping into her features. "A show?"
"There’s no fun if everyone is taken out by surprise," he continued, leaning back in his chair as though this were all a casual game to him. "I imagine the Suns still have about five hours before they reach Ty’s position. Plenty of time for you to warn him, prepare him... and make things more interesting."
Blue’s wings slowed, a thoughtful look crossing her face. "You’re just stirring the pot for entertainment, aren’t you?"
The man chuckled, nodding slightly. "Exactly. What’s the point of a tournament if no one gets to watch a good fight? I want to see how Ty reacts, how your little demon plans to handle the chaos."
JJ’s jaw tightened, but before she could respond, Blue floated closer to the man, her posture less combative. "You really get a kick out of this, huh?"
He raised an eyebrow, his amusement deepening. "What’s life without a little excitement? Watching people scramble when they know what’s coming—that’s the real fun."
To JJ’s surprise, Blue gave a small laugh. "You’re kind of twisted, you know that? But... I get it."
JJ shot Blue a confused glance, but Blue just shrugged. "Hey, I’ve seen plenty of chaos in my time. Sometimes, it’s fun to watch the pieces move. As long as no one gets seriously hurt."
The man chuckled, clearly pleased with Blue’s response. "You see the bigger picture, little fairy."
JJ blinked, momentarily taken aback by how quickly Blue seemed to be warming up to him. "Wait, you’re not actually agreeing with him, are you?"
Blue turned to JJ, her wings fluttering lightly. "Look, I don’t like the idea of Ty being in danger, but we’ve been in tough spots before. This is no different. We’ve got time to warn him and make sure things don’t spiral out of control."
The man’s grin widened as he watched the two of them. "That’s the spirit. After all, I’m just a sponsor. I can only monitor my contestant in small increments, but being at the top allows me to... hear things."
Blue tilted her head, her curiosity piqued. "What kind of things?"
He gestured to the screens around him, displaying different sections of the tournament. "Movements, plans, strategies. I listen, and I watch. And I like to give people a fair shot, even if it’s just for my own amusement."
JJ crossed her arms, still unconvinced. "So, you’re using us to spice things up?" Experience tales at novelbuddy
The man nodded. "Precisely. If everyone’s taken out by surprise, where’s the fun in that? I want a real battle, one where both sides know what’s coming."
Blue hovered closer to the man’s face, a playful smirk on her lips. "You know, you’re not so bad. For a guy who plays puppet master with lives."
He laughed, the deep sound filling the room. "I’ll take that as a compliment."
JJ shook her head, still baffled by the shift in tone. "You’re really getting along with him now?"
Blue shrugged. "Hey, at least he’s honest about what he’s doing. And besides, he’s giving us a chance to help Ty."

The man’s smile widened, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Exactly. I’m giving you a chance to make things more interesting. So, when you warn your demon, make sure it’s a fight worth watching."
JJ let out a slow breath, the knot in her stomach loosening slightly, though her wariness remained. "Fine. But Ty’s not some pawn for your amusement. He’s going to survive this."
The man chuckled, his tone lighter than before. "We’ll see. Either way, it’ll be one hell of a show."
Blue buzzed excitedly, her wings fluttering as she grinned. "Oh, it will be. Just you wait."
As JJ and Blue turned to leave, the man called after them, his voice carrying an almost friendly tone. "Remember, it’s all about survival. And if your demon can’t handle the pressure, well... he won’t make it to the later stages."
JJ paused, glancing back at him with a determined look. "Ty can handle it. And he’s going to surprise you."
With that, they stepped through the door and into the hallway. Blue floated beside JJ, her wings buzzing lightly. "You know, for a guy who seems all dark and brooding, he’s actually kind of fun."
JJ shot her a sideways glance, her expression incredulous. "Fun? You were ready to take him down a few minutes ago."
Blue shrugged, her smile mischievous. "What can I say? He grows on you. Besides, we’re going to outsmart him. Ty’s going to come out on top."
JJ shook her head, a small smile tugging at her lips despite herself. "Yeah, let’s just focus on getting to Ty before the Suns do."
Blue buzzed around her head, her tiny wings fluttering with purpose. "Right! We’ve got the advantage now. Let’s make sure Ty knows what’s coming."
As they made their way back to the sponsor’s area, JJ’s mind raced with the pieces they needed to put together. The urgency of the situation hung heavy in the air, but she felt a spark of confidence. They had a chance to warn Ty—and not just with any regular care package. This one had to be special, smart enough to send the message without violating the tournament’s rules.
Stepping through the dim hallways, they eventually reached the sponsor’s section, the familiar hum of monitors and shifting screens surrounding them. Waiting for them, as he had been before, was the same towering man they’d spoken with earlier. He stood near the edge of the room, his arms crossed, a look of mild curiosity on his face as he watched them enter.
"Back already?" the man asked, his voice as smooth and deep as ever. He leaned against the wall, his posture casual but his eyes sharp. "I didn’t expect you to move so quickly."
JJ shrugged, glancing at him with a flicker of annoyance, though she couldn’t quite shake the feeling that he was more amused than anything. "Time’s ticking," she replied, her tone clipped. "Ty needs to be warned, and we don’t have much time to waste."
